Neopedia : Little Timmy

Name : Little Timmy
Species : Tuskaninny
Age : Fifteen
Occupation : small-time crook
One Day Hopes : To be cool enough to
hang out with the rest of "the big guys."

..."Now remember, Timmy" Brucey B said as they stood outside the entrance of the Carrotberry Club, a notorious hangout frequented by only the seediest of characters, "this isn't some small-time bingo parlour; these guys mean business. I probably shouldn't even be bringing you in here!" However, for all his harsh words, Brucey knew how much a shot like this meant to Timmy. Even though it went against his better judgement, he entered the Carrotberry with his wide-eyed sidekick next to him.

Making their way throught the noise and confusion, Brucey stepped to a Kougra at the back of the club. Sporting a jet-black suit and an inch-long scar over his right ear, the Kougra led them a special V.I.P. room where the high rollers assembled for their weekly game of Cheat! As much as he tried to play it cool, Timmy couldn't help but be awestruck; it was a who's who of Neopian crooks... Jo Jo the Lip, Mr. Funnyshoes, Toby Twinkles--they were all there.

"What is this, amateur night?" Toby Twinkles said as he shuffled the cards.

"Ah dry up, Toby." Jo Jo said as he licked the last of the nacho cheese from his fingertips. "Gentlemen, you'll have to excuse my associate; we usually don't take him out in public, so sometimes he's not too wise about how to act... but seriously, as long as your money's good, I see no reason why you can't join us for a friendly little game."

"Yeah Toby," Mr. Funnyshoes agreed as he belched loudly, signaling to the waiter that it was time for another rainbowberry surprise. "Enough with the rumpus... let's play some cards already!" Sitting down at the table, Timmy reeled off one of the great streaks in the history of Beginner's Luck. As he collected his winnings from yet another victory, Toby Twinkles said, "Hey Brucey, what's the story with this friend of yours? I don't think I like him so much...."

Not surprisingly, the odds eventually caught up with Little Timmy, and soon enough he was on his way home empty-handed. On the bright side, though, at least he hadn't blown his chance to rub elbows with "the big shots." Brucey had to admit that his young apprentice had stood up relatively well under pressure. "Who knows?" Brucey thought, "Maybe he's ready to join me in my next score. There's always the Kraku Lounge... nah, I've got it! Next month's Cheat! tournament...."
