The WereLupe Files: Case 3-- Part Six

by neojolteon2

From outside, we could see Moon clearly. A whole group of Neopets were surrounding her and looking up while the Neopian Police held them back. Moon was huge! My house didn’t even match up to one of her claws! We didn’t stop but ran towards her. Unfortunately, we ran into some unfriendly company. I felt someone jump me from behind and almost knock Moon’s cure from my hands. I heard Khell and Maylas hit the ground, too. I looked up to see three Skeiths were sitting on each one of us.

“Let me go!” Khell yelled as that Kacheek was over him again.

“And what are you going to do about it now, puppy?” he taunted Khell. The others laughed.

“Hellllp!” Khell yelled at the top of his lungs. Moon perked her ears at hearing the distressful call of her brother. She looked down at the tiny Neopians and saw us being sat on.

“No one messes with my friends,” Moon growled. With one giant paw motion, she swept the whole group into her paw. The gang screamed terrified.

“Who’s that?” the Kacheek dared to asked.

“That’s my sister,” Khell said proudly.

“T-t-that’s your s-s-sister?” the Kacheek said afraid. Moon lowered her paw down so the gang faced Khell.

“Go ahead and teach them a lesson Khell,” Moon boomed from her giant body.

Khell cracked his paws and grew an evil grin that I had only seen Khell do when he got like this. I even thought I saw his ears curl to look like horns. Maylas and I turned our heads as we heard the pains and shouts of people getting their eyes poked.

“That’s gotta hurt,” Maylas commented on one large scream that seemed to come from the Kacheek. Moon released the gang and the scampered of crying and holding their eyes.

“Now who’s the puppy?” Khell shouted after them. Moon nodded. Suddenly, her whole body shook as she began to grow yet again. The crowd that had looked at us as Moon first bent over turned its attention to Moon as she went from giant to gargantuan and bigger yet.

“Maylas here. Fly this up to Moon and tell her to eat it,” I told him.

“I can’t. They have Uni, Shoyru, and Eyrie police and they won’t let me by,” he pointed out.

“You leave the police to me,” I told him. I immediately shifted into my WereLupe form.

“When they chase me, make a break for Moon,” I growled. Maylas nodded as I took off for the police. I gave a howl to announce I was there. The police turned and were startled to see a WereLupe right before them.

“Its the WereLupe! Get him!” One policeman shouted. They and some of the crowd began to chase me. I ran down the road and into the trees. They were in my land now. I ran through the trees like a shadow and eluded them. I traveled in twists and turns that would get them lost for awhile. Meanwhile, Maylas took the opportunity to go for Moon’s head. He flew higher, and higher, and higher, and higher until his wings ached and he could she his breath. The air was getting thinner too. Finally, he reached Moon.

She was far up above the clouds and looked extremely worried. The next growth would be her last.

“Moon! Take this!” Maylas shouted and threw the cure into her mouth. She swallowed and waited. Nothing seemed to happen until she began to shake. Closing her eyes and waiting for death, Moon began to shrink. Maylas followed her down until she reached her normal height. I was waiting for her after eluding the police. She hugged both Maylas and me for saving her.

“Thanks a lot guys. I thought I was a goner!” she exclaimed. The crowd clapped at Moon being normal. Khell pushed his way through and tripped on his own paws trying to reach Moon. He immediately tackled her and hugged her.

“Moon, I am so sorry about turning you gigantic. I promise it’ll never happen again,” he apologized.

“It's okay, Khell. I think we’ve had enough of an adventure today. Let's go home,” Moon said getting up.

That was another case solved. The gang was never seen in our part of town anymore. Moon made the front page, or at least one of her paws. I was at a corner about how the WereLupe had evaded the police yet again. I chuckled to myself and folded up the paper. Suddenly, it burst into flames!

“What the?” I asked. A tiny starry Draik flew onto my nose and looked at me angrily.

“Colbolt! Why did you put that shrinking potion in the Neocola!” He yelled at me. I smiled a cruel but funny smile.

      “Sorry Maylas. I couldn’t resist.”
