The Fuzzologist

by chimesjon

This is the sequel to "The Fuzzle Past".

The Christmas that Zack T. Fuzzle found out that he was a former-Fuzzle was unforgettable. Two years had passed since the incident, and since then, Zack became a Fuzzologist (someone who studies Fuzzles) in order to learn more of his Fuzzle life. Still, being the youngest Fuzzologist, about twelve years old, made Zack kind of famous. Because of this, barely any privacy was ever given to the poor Jubjub. Zack didn't really didn't need a lab, his room suited him well, thank you very much. He often practiced experiments for two main things: either his Fuzzle studies or class projects. Meanwhile, in the eighth house down the street of Hover Close in Soup Alley, Neopia Central, lived Zack. He was practicing another experiment, the "Fuzzle Hair Concoction."

"Just one more ingredient... WALDO, NOOO!!!" cried Zack. BOOOOM!! Zack and this Waldo was blown backwards into a hard wall. Waldo was a Wadjet given to Zack after his old PetPet Anubis Royo had passed away over the two years. Okay, back to the story. The explosion from the potion coughed up loads of smoke. "Waldo, I TOLD you not to add that Christmas card in there! Al gave me that!" Zack picked up a damaged greeting, from Al the Lupologist. They had become friends earlier about three months ago. Then when Zack got up to his feet, he muttered "Maybe a little too much Swamp Mud Water. Luckily they didn't spray the foam on the potion." He examined the bottle carefully, and grabbed a tiny Fuzzle hair with a pair of tweezers.

Then all of a sudden, Joey and Sen, two mischievous pets, burst into the room, each carrying fire extinguishers. "DON'T WORRY, ZACK! WE'LL SAVE YOU!" cried Joey. Zack realised he had been alarmed by the explosion, for Joey and Sen were both blasting at a flame the size of a thumbnail. Zack sighed and said, "Next time you try to be heroes, don't cover up Waldo with extinguisher-foam!!" As he had said, Waldo was covered up in foam, which looked like the beard of Santa Clause along with every part of his body covered up with foam. Joey was embarrassed, with Sen sitting down, eating Fudgy Delights and leaving the fire extinguisher on the floor.

"Now beat it! I'm busy here!" said Zack. With relief, Joey and Sen walked out the room peacefully. It was always the same thing whenever there was an explosion in Zack's room, probably because Waldo always dropped cards into the mixture. It was only safe usually when Zack was doing something else besides of liquid experiments. A day after the explosion, Zack decided to move on with another experiment. Zack already knew of his past, but still he insisted on studying Fuzzology. When he reached in a drawer to get his book, The Study of Fuzzles: Fuzzology, an envelope fell out as well. It was familiar, a strange and rather old looking envelope. Zack knew what it was. The letter from Zoey two years ago. It seemed pretty stupid forgetting a letter for two WHOLE years. He picked it up slowly, and saw the words "To: Zack From: Zoey." Zoey was a long-lost friend ("The Fuzzle Journey" and "Fuzzle Changes").

Dear Zack,

I hope you remember me. I'm Zoey. Nothing much to say, I think you got a letter from me somewhere in the Lost Desert, right? 'Cause that's where I am. Great seeing ya.

Sincerely,

Zoey

"That's it!?" complained Zack. It was dull to see that two years of wait contained something worth five seconds. Zack turned it upside down, and a strange photo fell out. It was a picture of a Faerie Jubjub; it must've been Zoey. She had a tiny ribbon tied to her head. She was so beautiful....CLUNK!! "Oww! Fine, Waldo, give me that book." Waldo lifted a heavy book enabled "Fuzzology Experiments" and tossed it to Zack. His hands were open, ready to catch the book. But the book was twice Zack's size, and squashed him when it reached him. He muttered "Easy Squeazie Lemon Peasy" and fainted. Waldo glanced at Zack, slapped him with his tail until he was awake. To Zack's horror, he had to work on his favorite but dangerous part of Fuzzology... the Fuzzle Hair Concoction.

Three minutes later...

BOOOOM!! Again it happened. Ding Dong! Zack rushed downstairs and found it was Al. He was wearing a brown raincoat, with Fluffy, his Cobrall on his head.

"Sorry to bother you Zack, but I could've sworn my lab was here!"

"Uhh... Al. You're in HOVVENton, not FURGLEton."

"Oops. Sorry, Zack." Al blushed with embarrassment.

Then a sudden memory came to Zack. Joey and Sen didn't come up trying to be heroes after the explosion yet!! Which meant..."AHHH! Joey and Sen are upstairs!!!" BOOOOOMM!!! The two (Joey and Sen) obviously sprayed the extinguisher on the potion. The explosion caused everyone to crash into yet another wall, from which Joey and Sen were blasted from upstairs to the downstairs wall. "Piffle," said Al.

This was only the life of a Fuzzologist...
