Going through a few dimensions, the Noodles finally figured out how to use
the Time Machine to return home from Version
10. Well, we had come back just in time for the next mystery concert
I had booked. It was a mystery because nobody, not even me, knew where we were
going to be, or whom we were playing for! Everyone waited around the house,
practising a little bit before our ride would come. When the doorbell finally
rang, everyone sprang up to grab it.
"IT'S MINE, I SAY! MINE!!!" Firey_Sac yelled. He flung open the door and looked
around. "…There's nobody here…" he whispered. He heard a small "ARF!" from the
ground. Firey_Sac looked down and saw a little Doglefox. "Aww…it's so cute!"
he cooed. "ARF! ARF!" the Doglefox cried out. In the blink of an eye, the Doglefox
had leaped onto Firey_Sac's head. "GRR…ARF! ARF! WOOF!" It howled. "Get it off!
Get it off! Get it off!" Firey_Sac sobbed.
"Rainyn! Down! Get down! Is that how you treat others?" We heard someone say.
"Sorry about Rainyn. He's a bit tempered today." The Doglefox whined and hopped
off of Firey_Sac's head. "Hi! I'm LuminaPaw, but you can call me Mina." We heard
the voice again. A shimmering white Lupess stepped out from behind a bush. "My
owner and I are here to pick you up for the concert."
I blinked and shook my head. "Huh? I'm confused. Who are we playing for, and
where are we playing?"
Mina giggled. "Silly. It's my birthday party, and I was hoping you would play
some songs for us." I sat and thought for a second.
"Okay. Anything for a fan! We were getting a bit bored, anyway." Everyone
grabbed their instruments got ready to go.
When we arrived there, we saw all the decorations. "Wow! This is awesome!"
Bhuhbuh said. There were all sorts of banners and shimmering glitters.
"Do you like it? I'll go get you some party hats and candy! They're in the
basement, c'mon! Follow me." Mina pounced off.
We left our instruments upstairs and followed her down into the basement.
"There they are! Voila! Here you go." Mina passed out the candy and hats and
we left to go back upstairs. Click, click, click... there was something wrong
with the lock.
"The door! It's not opening! I know I had a spare key." Mina sighed and sat
down on the steps. Only a few seconds later, we heard a strange hissing sound.
"Tsssssssssss… tsssssssssss…" We heard again. Everyone looked at the corner.
There was a pair of glowing eyes, and we could see a small key glimmering.
"I have a bad feeling about this…" KN whispered softly, a hint of fear in her
quivering voice.
We all huddled in a corner as we saw a Spyder come out with our key…then two
more Spyders, then four more, then sixteen more, then thirty-two more... fifty-five
Spyders faced us, and that was just a portion of their tribe. "TSSS! TSSS!"
They all spat and hissed at us.
"Look, you guys," Number Nimmo said. "We've all had our chance to save each
other before, but this time, I don't think we could win this even if we worked
together. I'm sorry, guys… it's been great, and I really didn't want it to end
like this, but I guess you just have to face the…" Number Nimmo couldn't even
finish his sentence, when we heard a loud "GRR…ARF! ARF!" from behind us. We
turned around and saw little Rainyn, tail pointed up and twitching, and a snarl
on his face.
"GRR… RARF! RARF! WOOF! WOOF!!!" Rainyn cried out. He leaped upon each Spyder
and hopped across them as though they were mere stepping stones, squashing every
evil Spyder he landed on. Mina and the band watched in astonishment as the little
Doglefox conquered every last one. "Arf! Arf!" he barked out in happiness. Terror
struck the eyes of everyone except Rainyn, who couldn't see behind him. We saw
extremely large red eyes appear from the shadows behind Rainyn, and a crown
shining above them. Rainyn stopped wagging his tail and barking, and slowly
looked behind him.
"TSSSSSSS! TSSSSS! TSSSSS!" the creature said.
A resounding WHACK was heard, and poor Rainyn went flying across the room into
a wall.
"Hrrrm…aarrrm…" Rainyn whimpered slowly.
"Rainyn! Oh, Rainyn!" Mina sobbed with tears running down her face. "Please!
Help! I'll take care of Rainyn, you take care of the King Spyder!"
The giant Spyder was in full view now, and it reared up in anger. "Quick!"
KN yelled. "Hit the King Spyder's belly! It's the only weak spot! I read it
in one of my books." She grinned, and grabbed a lamp out of a nearby junk box.
Everybody did the same, even me. We chucked our lamp weapons at the belly of
our foe, and he fell quickly.
"Wow," I said. "I didn't think it would be that easy." I picked up the key
off the ground and unlocked the door. "Mina! Hurry! Bring Rainyn upstairs, I
might be able to heal him.

Rainyn is better now, and everyone is doing fine. We bought some Anti-NeoBug
for Mina's basement and went on with the concert. Of course, that was a month
ago. Obviously things would be right by now! Well, except for one thing…we didn't
know where our next concert would take us.
The End
Author's Note: Hi, everyone! I'm sooooo sorry for the lack of stories. :P I
was a bit busy for a while. I hope the story by spuddie_hang
quenched a bit of that Noodles thirst. ^_^ Many thanks to miss_laddy
as well, who helped me out with some story ideas and let me use Mina in this story.
See ya later, everyone! |
