Lupe RP

by al_the_chia

After extensive research, I have discovered something incredible about the Lupe world. The RPs. Lupes are probably the most Role-played Neopets on the planet. Why is this? I dug deeper to discover more. It seems the root comes from Wolf RPs, which are very popular in places other than Neopia. Many of the Wolf RPers from what I like to call 'Outside Neopia,' migrated here, and after taking residence in the RP boards, created many of the pets which resemble wolves the most, Lupes, and began their own genre of boards. Lupes are one of the oldest pets in Neopia (next to Chias, who's design is so poor they had to have been drawn on a napkin, and Bruces, who looked so horrendous I fear to describe them), and this might also make them attractive to RPers But whatever the reason, Lupe RPs have been used over the ages by so many people that they have evolved into a higher form. Many people don't like them, and insult the sacred art of Lupe RPing, saying that forming packs and creating mating rituals are disgusting. Annoyers invade the boards, often destroying the mystique and wonder of their world and driving them away. But let me be clear: These RPers are probably the most intelligent Neopians in the world. They usually speak in old English, and they often find colours with such interesting names that they sound prettier than they actually look. I noticed a pattern in many of the boards--They always describe the Lupe's 'pelt' colour, eye colour, and characteristics before they start RPing. For instance:

Stenchpaw, Stinky Lupe of Skunk Pelt, sits upon the edge of a tall, powerful cliff. His ebony orbs scan the horizon, searching for another Lupe.

Apparently, 'Orb' means 'Eye,' which is probably the weirdest eccentricity the Lupe RPers have. Also, many of them create patterns with the ~ and * marks before every addition to the board. They also hunt down the most stunning colours and fonts to use for their text. Many of them are fond of light blue and violet.

Now, allow me to explain the difference between a 'Lupe RP' and a 'Chia Hunt'. Lupe RPs are very exclusive, but they often do not bring up the topic of Chias. I am guessing many of them wouldn't hunt them anyway, but you can never be sure. If there were any attacks on Chias within a Lupe RP, I'm sure they would be wittier than if it were with the Chia Hunt boards, with more verbal than physical abuse. With Chia Hunting, Chia Hunting is the main subject, and anyone opposed to mauling Chias and other small creatures are immediately rejected. When (and if) there are battles in the Lupe RPs, they are often very descriptive, and pleasant conversation always takes place in perfect grammar. Chia hunts have passages like:

I RIP OFF THE CHIAS HEAD GUTS SPILL OVER THE PLACE I RIP HIM UP DRINK HIS BLOOD I HATE CHIAS!

Basically, my point is that Lupe RPers are poetic, and Chia Hunt RPers are about as smart as pet rocks.

In conclusion to this report, I would like to strongly recommend Lupe RPing. Anyone with an imagination and/or a Lupe can participate. As a matter of fact, I strongly recommend RPing in general. It helps you develop character interaction within stories, and if the RP lasts long enough, you may even have a story within it! So Neopians, get off the dullness of General Chat and the pointlessness of the Shop Ads, and climb aboard the RP wagon! Interact with your pets! And travel places beyond Neopia!!

Your Pal,

Al the Lupologist
