A NeoPet Faerie Tale

Once upon a time (most faerie tales start out this way), there was a young kacheek who lived with her parents, who ruled a small kingdom called Crystal Star. The kacheek's name was BlueLily, and she was blue (that was kind of obvious). Her parents were Sir BraveOne and Lady GoldenRose. She had always wished for a younger sister, but her parents were getting old and were unable to have another child. BlueLily always got what she wanted because she was slightly spoiled. Her parents talked one of their servants in to giving up her baby daughter-a blue kacheek. The servant was young and didn't have much of a choice. The young girl was given money to help her dying mother in exchange for her baby daughter. No one knew who the father was. The baby was named SweetDream. The two girls grew up to be lovely children. BlueLily was always favored though and had the most privileges. She was spoiled and always got her way, but things would change as the girls became older.

Twelve years later, BlueLily was 18 and SweetDream was 15. The girls were in the meadow picking wild flowers. BlueLily was a beautiful girl but had mean spirit and a quick temper. SweetDream had become even more beautiful than her sister and had a nice personality with a kind heart. She was admired very much for those qualities.

"Excuse me, young maidens," came a voice, "which way to the Crystal Star Kingdom?"

The voice belonged to one of the King's loyal servants who came to talk to their father about BlueLily's hand in marriage for the prince. The marriage was of an agreement between the two fathers and the prince did not really love BlueLily.

"Too bad you are too young," said BlueLily after giving the servant directions.

She was always jealous of her younger sister and was quite happy with being able to marry the prince BlazingStar.

"I could if I was older," her sister replied tired of being teased.

"No you can not!" BlueLily said devilishly. She knew her sister was not her real sister and knew of her mother.
"Why not?" SweetDream asked surprised.
"You are not my real sister. You were born to one of the servants and my parents bought you from her because I wanted a sister. You could never marry royalty." BlueLily said letting the truth out at last.

SweetDream was quite surprised and near the brink of tears. She ran back to the only mother she knew of, the Lady GoldenRose. She confronted Lady GoldenRose in the parlor and was told that what her sister said was the truth. A commotion came from the hall and the two dashed out to hear the news that one of the mighty kings had passed away without an heir. His name was King MidnightSea. He left a great fortune. His poor wife had died years before and there was no heir to the throne. A war was also to start if the two kingdoms didn't join and MidnightSea's kingdom had no ruler and couldn't make peace without one.

The dilemma was forgotten as BlueLily and Blazing Star were to be married. The day of the marriage a servant came across King MidnightSea's diary. Shocked by what he read, he ran to the church trying to not stumble on his short kacheek legs and tail. He burst in just as the vows were being made.

"Stop this wedding at once!" He shouted.
"What's going on?" BlueLily demanded . Her maid-of-honor was SweetDream and she too was wondering the same thing.
"This diary is of the late King MidnightSea. This page says that he did have a child with one of the servants of Sir BraveOne and Lady GoldenRose. The child is the heir to the throne," the servant said.
"The child's name is SweetDream," replied a female kacheek servant who was the real mother of the girl.

Instead, SweetDream and BlazingStar were married and they were very much in love. The kingdoms stayed at peace and the world was finally safe.

They lived happily ever after (most faerie tales end like that).
