THE STORY OF PEOPHINS

"Pheophins! Come to the moss rock to hear urgent news!" called the strange faerie.
All of the pheophins were wondering what was wrong. But they soon found out.
"Neopets!" she called. "I can sense one thing will go wrong with our life. It will be a large..." She fainted and could not finish her sentence.
Two strong pheophins carried her away and tried to wake her, but she had died.
"What will we do?" asked all of the pheophins."We will never know what happens!"
At that very moment, the waves around the island got rougher. Suddenly, a HUGE tidal wave approached over the island!
"AHHHHHHHIIIIIIEEEE!" All the the pheophins yelled.
They were terrible swimmers. The tidal wave took in all of the pheophins Slowly, they all floated away.
Then, all of a sudden, a mermaid appeared....
The mermaid's name was Aquera. She had seen the tidal wave and saw the pheophins being carried away. She tried to save them all, but she could only save one. She carried the "not-in-great-shape" pheophin down into the sea. Using some magic, she made a swirl of stars that looked like a tornado. She gently put the pheophin into the swirl. A minute later, the pheophin came out...but with fins!
"AHHHH!" screamed the pheophin. "What's this? Where am I? What happened?"
The mermaid gently spoke, "Shhhhh...I'm Aquera. I brought you down here from the island of Neopia. You can no longer live up there, so I brought you down here and gave you fins.
" "Wow!" said the pheophin "By the way, do I have a name? I mean, if this is a new life, and I look different, shouldn't I have a name?"
"Of course!" said the mermaid suddenly. "We'll call your species...peophins!"
"NO!" said the peophin "Not like that, though I do like the new name. I mean a NAME, name."
"OH!" said Aquera. "Well, how about my name? Aquera?"
"I like it!" said Aquera. They played together for a long time, and eventually they went back up to Neopia. There, they discovered several new pets and new faeries. The Faerie Queen was looking for a new faerie and pet species in Neopia. She made the peophins her new pet species, and Aquera the mermaid the very first water faerie.
