Gelert Race: Part One

by Leopardeyez

This story begins like this. My pets and I were wandering around the shops looking for my Lupe Wolfpard’s new PetPet. We were looking for a Tyrannian PetPet... my Lupe’s sharp eyes spied a Grunslen. He immediately fell in love with it he whipped out his Neopoints and bought it with a grin on his face.

“All of you have PetPets now!” I said melodramatically.

“Yippee!” my Cybunny said. “Now we can go home.”

“OK,” I laughed.

I jumped onto my Gelert Maylynnn’s reindeer like body grabbing onto her antler ears. On her dainty paw it seemed like she almost flew, while my Cybunny raced along side. Shyru3 my little blue Shoyru flew along and then grabbed onto my backpack with her baby Airex. My Lupe ran ahead since he wasn’t held down.

We were passing the gigantic News Board when we saw something. That read: “Great Gelert Race Sign up Soon! Only one pet per person, One race!”

A box of pamphlets was on the side I grabbed one and looked at it there were 30 competitions just for Gelerts.

“How about it Maylynnn?”

Maylynnn’s red Christmas fur went pale white then returned to crimson excitement. “Yeah…” she murmured. She looked like she was having a fantasy of winning.

My Gelert and I grabbed a pamphlet and went to my NeoHome on Wishing Well drive. Inside Maylynnn’s wooden room we settled down to find the race for her. Then I saw it, there was going to be races on every place on the world map for Gelerts and the Faerieland one was perfect. I paused.

“Maylynnn, I’ll sign you up for the Gelert Racing Endurance track its sort of like a obstacle course it has two sequels speed and umm endurance”

“Mommy what does Maylynnn get if she wins?” Shyru3 asked.

“Well when you win you get a medal of course, gold, silver, and bronze.”

“And they are supposed to have a talisman aura around it, it says here.”

I noted that at these words my Gelert’s eyes gleamed. “Don’t get your hopes up too much... May, we might not get in,” my Gelert sighed.

“Well,” I said abruptly. "All of you go to bed now.” Watching them troop to bed made me feel lucky to have such great pets…

The Next Morning...

“MAYLYNNN YOU GOT IN!” I shouted. Maylynnn bounded in and licked my face in pure canine joy.
