Lupina Returns: Part One

Missing

Amy looked out of her NeoHome. A few hours earlier, her NeoPets had gone outside. Amy was worried. Her pets usually told her if they would be gone this long.

Lupina, Rosy, Lily, and Emala weren't any ordinary pets. Each had many abilities and had been painted different colours. This had all happened before Amy had met them. They had been wild back then, and on a quest. They had gained their abilities and their colours from items they had gotten from Arlino the Wise Eyrie. Lupina, who said she used to be green, was now Fire-coloured, Rosy, who used to be red, was now Cloud, Lily, who you used to be green, was Faerie, and Emala, who used to be blue, was Shadowed. Lupina was a Lupe, Rosy a Gelert, Lily an Aisha, and Emala a Kougra.

Yes indeed, these were very special pets. Not only were they painted and blessed with many abilities, but these four NeoPets had saved the world. Lupina herself had battled the Darkness Faerie beneath a cloak of darkness for the freedom of Neopia. The others had helped. After the battle, Lupina, Rosy, Lily, and Emala had come to live with Amy.

And now these four special pets were missing. Amy knew them too well to go off for a long time without telling her where they would be.

Amy put out her coat and went outside. She set off into the extensive area of land she had around her NeoHome in Happy Valley. Her pets were often playing there. Perhaps they had lost track of the time.

After searching for a long time, Amy started scouring her neighbourhood. The four NeoPets were nowhere to be seen.

By the end of the day, Amy had searched all of Happy Valley with no avail. She was certain something had happened to her pets.

Over the next few days, a band led by Officer Chia scoured most of Neopia for the missing pets. It was in vain. Amy knew her pets had to be somewhere. So she set off to the only place the officials had not reached: VirtuPets Space Station.

A day later, Amy was inside the shuttle and ready for takeoff. She had journeyed to the Launch Pad.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!" said a loudspeaker. Amy was jolted backward as the shuttle rose from the launch pad.

After a while, the shuttle slowed down. It was docking. The doors slid open. Amy unfastened her seat belt and walked out, looking around. She had never been to the VirtuPets Space Station before. After a satisfying lunch at Grundo's Cafe, Amy set off to look for her missing pets.
