Clicking 'Psst' under the lost desert plot will bring you to the fortune teller. It seems she's been seeing things in her crystal ball...

So... you've returned," she says. "Something remarkable is happening. I am receiving many images in my crystal ball, images of strange, distant places..."
I see ancient pharaohs laid at rest.

You must do the following things to use this clue...

  • 1. Find out where the clue refers to
  • 2. Complete the task to find a parchment
A parchment will look something like this:
  • 3. Each column refers to a door.
The door you need to use is the one that corresponds to the NUMBER of clue you are on, so for your first clue you would use the column with the single dot and the second clue would be the column with two dots, and so on.
  • 4. Go to this door within the temple of 1000 tombs. Your door WILL BE THERE. It just may be hard to find.
  • 5. Take the broken fragment you get to Donny the toy mender in Terror Mountain. If he breaks it you will need to go to the door again.
  • 6. Take the repaired peice and put it in the mysterious tablet.

After you have found all of the pieces you can now 'translate' your tablet. This description on how to do it is from Neonewsnow.com
In each chapter from 1-3 there are 4 symbols. To translate the Mysterious Tablet after you have completed it. Click each of the symbols in each chapter in order according on your tablet. Let say you have the Ben symbol as the first piece on your tablet, you need to find that first and click it. do the same on the rest of your piece. It start from The top colum from left to right then to next colum. Once you have completed it, a new window will pop up and will show you an avatar and the translated tablet.
    This is the avatar:

    Temple of 1000 Tombs

An interesting top banner appeared after the release of the second chapter. Clicking on it would take you to the Temple of 1000 Tombs.

    http://www.neopets.com/desert/ldp/temple.phtml

On entering the temple you are presented with various passage ways. Entering a jeweled door with a symbol above it seems to lead to almost certain doom. You'll be either attacked by a jelly blob, be drowned, or various other dangerous activies. You will not be allowed to renter for an hour.
Sometimes choosing a bad door will turn your pet into a pile of sand!

Don't worry though as this is just temporary, and will go after about an hour.

Entering a different door however leads you to a library. Inside you asked to choose on of the scrolls that lay before you. The doors that lead to the library look like this:

    Finding Nuria

After completing your tablet you will now need to find your Statue of Nuria.

The riddle on the first page of the tomb (before you enter) refers to a specific Colour and Shape of door. This door will lead you to the Statue of Nuria. There are 12 of this door, each with a different symbol on it. Only one of these will lead you to the statue.

The Shape part of the riddle:
A humble portal of stone (rectangle)
    Mouth of the river (triangle)
The aspect of a star (pentagon)
    Window into the soul (oval)

The Colour part of the riddle:
Blinding radiance of the sun (yellow)
Thunderous clouds obscuring the sky (black)
The waking dawn on the dunes (red)
Banks of the mighty river (green)
    Kingdom of the lightgiver (blue)
Bright guardian of the night (silver)

Upon finding it you are asked for the 'Prophecy' and you will be rewarded greatly if you enter it. Also take note of the symbol on your statue.
Entering the translation of your tablet will result in you being buried in a pile of scarabs and thrown out of the temple...

    Getting into the Repository

Next you should exit the temple by entering a wrong prophecy to tell the Statue. When you are allowed back in you need to find the library that contains the symbol that appears on YOUR Nuria statue. Ra, Set, Ahn and Kha are in the Jeweled door, Ben, Lat, Sap and Nem are in the Maze door and Fer, Djo, Tep and Kar are in the River door.
After you have done this you need to go to the Lost Desert Scroll Repository and say the phrase the refers to the scroll you read.

For those who are clueless... the footsteps in the uppercorner of the lost Desert lead to the scroll repository. In order to get passed the guards, you need to say the phrase the refers to your symbol...

  • AHN: "I'm here with extra charcoal for the caterers"
  • SAF: "I'm here with the royal census. You're not a Ruki! Get out of my way!"
  • KHA: "I don't have sand that color yet! Don't you know who I am?"
  • BEN: "I'm here to prepare food for your Elephante workers."
  • DJO: "Did that Anubis get its 15-minute break yet?"
  • LAT: "This sand contains traces of faeryllium. To the laboratory!"
  • FER: "You guys should drink more water before you get heat stroke."
  • RA: "That tent over there has insufficient ventilation. I'll have to write you a citation"
  • SET: "I know I'm late, but I'm here to deliver an important royal message"
  • KAR: "I'm the food specialist for your herbivore workers"
  • TEP: "I'm here to chronicle the construction of this repository."
  • NEM: "Have you thought about triple-glazing your windows?? It's fun and functional!"

Doing this will mean you can procede to the scroll repository and help with goings on whether it be moving sand, blocks or furniture. (This part is currently over.)

The repository is now uncovered and the interior is now fitted.

We can now enter the repository. Before you do this make sure you have been 'Scarabed' by the statue.

First of all, you have to find the chef within the pyramid. He is found on row 20, column 5, floor 2. Talk to him and he will ask you to get him something.

Next, visit the Temple of 1000 Tombs Gift Shop which is found by clicking on the right hand tower on the tomb (or by clicking here) and you will be given an Empty Vial.

Equip the vial and fight the "Spirit of the Ruins" in the Battledome. You do not need to win the battle, just use the vial to attack the spirit.

The Empty Vial will then become a Smoky Vial. Unequip the vial and take it to the gift shop and you will get a t-shirt.

Bring this to the Chef and he will give you a Useless Crystal. That is currently it.

    Battledome Opponents

Two new battledome opponents have been released. It is currently unknown whether these will influence the plot but 'Spirit of the Ruins' and 'Scordrax' are now available to fight. Sticky Hands are disabled which suggests they are infact war opponents.

    Difficulty: 50

    Interesting TCG and Plot Points

The TCG 'Qasalan Tablets' does not show up when clicking on it on the TCG checklist. This image is from the Wizards website. It says...

If the tablets were correct, the prince they had followed to the ruined city was .... nearly a thousand years old
So Jazan isn't exactly the young Kyrii he's pretending to be, and he's most likely a spirit from Qasala too, like his horsey. These tablets are seen in chapter 11 of the plot. Thanks to neostuff246, WoNtOnSoUp & kenotia12 of neoitems.net for helping me decipher the tiny print.

    Interesting Notes from the TCG

  • Prince Jazan is from Qasala. According to the TCG 'Spirit of the Ruins', The living had not set foot in Qasala for centuries, and quite frankly, the evil spirts were getting bored. May become a future map and will most likely be the evil in this plot.
  • Also mentioned in the TCG is the 'Plains of Dispair'. As the card of the same name says it is A land of misery and torment created from the prince's twisted imagination. with 'the prince' refering to Jazan, this again links Jazan to more evil doings, and may appear as part of the plot.
  • The TCG 'Vanishing City' features the city of Sahkmet.. well... vanishing! A prediction of things to come? If so I'm sure we know who is behind it. -no js-favourite Kyrii (No. We hate Capara.) is holding it. The card's text tells us 'the curse will soon be broken'. A curse on Qasala maybe?
