How to draw Nuria : Printable Version

First, create a small oval for Nuria's head. Lightly sketch a vertical line down the center of the oval and two horizontal lines to serve as guides when you draw her face.

Below the face shape, draw a larger, wider oval for Nuria's shoulders and chest.

Connect the face shape to the second oval with two short, curved lines to form Nuria's neck. Make a pair of longer curved lines that come from the bottom of the larger oval and connect them with another curving line to define Nuria's waist and torso.

Erase any extra lines. Next, draw a slightly lopsided egg shape under Nuria's torso. This shape will be her hips and thighs.
Make the bottom of the egg shape that you just drew flat. Then, add two leaf shapes to the sides of Nuria's head to create her pointy ears and sketch two large eyes on her face.

You can now begin working on Nuria's arms. For her right arm (the one on your left), make two long, narrow ovals coming from her shoulder. Underneath the second oval, draw a circular shape for her clenched fist. Her left arm is bent, so make one long, narrow oval connected to her shoulder like you did with her right arm, but then draw the second oval pointing upward, at an angle from the first. Lastly, add a smaller oval shape for her left hand.

Connect the ovals in each arm with short, curved lines and erase any extra lines you might have. Give her right hand some definition by adding a short, bent line to indicate her closed fingers. For her left hand (your right), make two of her fingers point upward. Add a curved line to her chest for more definition.

It's now time to give Nuria the hood that she uses to keep out of the blazing Lost Desert sun. First, draw a straight line across her forehead that connects the tops of her eyes. Then, make an arched line above her head that starts at one ear and ends at the other to create the top of her hood. Draw a curved line from her left ear (your right) to her shoulder for the rest of her hood. On the right side (your left), draw a long, curved line that sweeps from the bottom of her right ear to her left shoulder. Then, make another, longer, curved line from the middle of her right ear to her left shoulder. Also, add a pair of short, bent lines to form a "c" shape on her right shoulder, which will show how Nuria's cloak hangs over her shoulder. To finish off the shape of her cloak, make two sweeping lines behind her to form her cloak as it falls down her back. Finally, draw a narrow wedge cutting across the bottom right corner (your left) of the shape you made for her legs.
Make two flaring wing shapes behind her.

Give Nuria's hood some more detail by adding a few curved lines to the top and sides of it. Draw some circles in her eyes for pupils, a pair of eyebrows, and some eyelashes. On the center guideline that you drew earlier, sketch in a delicate nose and a mouth.

Make two pairs of curved lines on each of her wrists to form her bracelets, and another pair on her right upper arm for her cuff. Add one curved line on her left upper arm (your right) to hint at her other cuff bracelet. Now, sketch in pairs of curving lines around her waist and one across her chest to give detail to her clothing.

Add a small triangle to each ear to provide detail, plus lots of curved and bent lines to her dress to create texture and hint at the folds of the fabric. Then, make the edges of her wings look really rough so that they appear like flames.
Erase any extra lines that you might have left.

Finally, give your drawing some colour and shading using markers, coloured pencils, crayons, or a computer program.
