Begin by drawing two circles, one above the other. The top circle should be slightly
smaller than the bottom one. Then draw a cross shape on the top circle, like so. This
cross will be your guide when you come to put the eyes, mouth and nose on.
Now join the two circles by drawing on your Scorchio's neck. Draw two smaller circles
overlapping either side of the lower one, like this picture. These circles will become
your Scorchio's legs.
Draw a cylinder shape (sort of like a squished circle) on the top circle. This will
become your Scorchio's muzzle. Next add two small circular shapes on either side
of your Scorchio's neck, like so.
Add two circular shapes underneath your Scorchio's legs (the lower circles). This
will form the feet. Then draw a tail shape curving out to one side.
Next add two arms like so. Draw a small circle for your Scorchio's hands. Don't worry
if your picture is becoming confusing, very soon you can erase all the guidelines and it
will start to fall into place.
One of the last things you add are the Scorchio's wings. The easiest way to explain these
is just to copy the shape shown in the picture. Once you have added the wings, draw a dip
in the middle of your Scorchio's nose, like so. Lastly add two little points on the left
side of your Scorchio's mouth.
Now erase all the guidelines and you should be left with something like this.
Draw spikes along the top of your Scorchio's tail and add toes and claws to its feet.
The right leg needs to be made a little less round, so draw a line from the leg to the
body and back to the toes, like so.
Now you need to add more detail to your Scorchio. Draw triangle shapes along your
Scorchio's wings and add a claw to the top of the right one. Next draw a straight line
down your Scorchio's body from its neck, to the top of its leg. Draw an arch on the right
side of your Scorchio's head to form the eye area. Draw a triangle
shape on the top of your Scorchio's head. This will be a guideline for its spikes.
Draw a circular shape inside the eye area, this will form the eye. Then add a few
lines here and there to form the knees, elbows, nostrils and eyebrows.
Draw your Scorchio's spikes on its head using the guidelines. Then draw three lines
across your Schorchio's belly. Finally add a pupil in your Scorchio's eye.
Now just erase the guidelines and you should be left with a finished Scorchio that looks
something like this. Add some colour if you want to make your Scorchio more life-like.
It is quite a tricky pet to draw so don't be sad if it didn't work first time. Try again
and it will get much easier with practice :)
