Neopets - How to draw the Coconut Shy Quiggle
How to draw the Coconut Shy Quiggle : Printable Version
Start by drawing a large oval for the Quiggle's head.
Next, make a large rectangular shape to create his body.
It's now time to give the Quiggle some limbs. First, draw his raised arms at the top of the body shape. Be sure to add a pair of round shapes to the ends of his arms for his hands. Then, at the bottom of his body, draw two rounded diamond shapes for the Quiggle's feet.
To form the Quiggle's legs, add a pair of diagonal lines to the bottom half of the body shape. These lines should connect to your Quiggle's feet. Then, above the lines, make a curve for his chubby stomach. Finally, add the little lock of hair that sticks out of his forehead.
Erase your extra lines, and then divide the hand shapes you made into separate fingers. Remember to include the Quiggle's distinctive rounded fingertips.
Clean up your drawing a bit by erasing any extra lines that might be left. It's now time to start working on the Quiggle's face. Draw two circles on the head shape (just below that lock of hair that you drew) for his eyes, and then add his large, open-mouthed grin by making a pair of curved lines that meet just below his left eye (the one on your right).
Add some more hair to the top of the Quiggle's head.
Put a bit more detail on the Quiggle's face by adding pupils to his eyes, crooked teeth in his mouth, and a wart on his chin. Finally, make a slightly curved line above his mouth for the Quiggle's nose.
Next, refine his face by making some curves on the sides of the Quiggle's head.
At this point, add some more definition and detail to the Quiggle's arms. Be sure to include the tattered edges of his shirt.
Erase any extra remaining lines. Then, draw the Quiggle's trousers. Add a few patches to the trousers' legs. Finally, turn the diamond shapes you made for his feet into little boots.
Your drawing is almost finished! Remember to erase any leftover lines that might still remain.
It's now time to give your drawing some colour. Use anything you like, from coloured pencils to a computer program.
Add some highlights and shading to make your Coconut Shy Quiggle look extra realistic (and slightly sinister, too)!
