How to draw King Roo : Printable Version

Begin by drawing a tilted oval for King Roo's head. Then, make a large kidney shape for his body.

Add the King's crown to the top of the head shape you just drew. Next, draw King Roo's floppy ears. Make it so that his right ear (which is on your left side) is connected to the top of his head, next to his crown. For his left ear (on your right), draw a leaf shape just below the crown. You'll finish drawing the rest of his left ear later on.

Now, connect King Roo's head to his body by making two short parallel lines for his neck. Draw a rounded shape on each side of the King's body for his arms. Next, it's time to work on the King's legs and feet. To make his left foot (on your right), simply draw a heart shape on the lower part of his body. For his right leg (on your left), make a small oval that's slightly beneath and to the side of his body. Then, connect that oval to the body shape with a pair of curved lines to form his right leg.

Draw King Roo's long, bouncy Blumaroo tail.

It's now time to give some more detail to the King's head. Connect his left ear (the one on your right) to his head, and add the markings on the tips of each of his ears. Give him two dark eyes (though his right eye will mostly be hidden because his head is turned), a curved Blumaroo nose, and a happy smile.

Erase any extra lines you might have, and then begin adding some detail to King Roo's body. Separate his paws into three fingers each. Finally, make a curved line linking the heart-shaped foot you drew to the side of the body shape, forming the King's left leg (on your right).

Add heart-shaped markings to the bottom of the King's feet, and give his tail a bit more shape.

Draw the King's flowing cape around his shoulders. Don't forget to add a bow where the ends of the cape are tied together.

Since King Roo is enjoying his favourite game (Dice-A-Roo, of course!), we'll give him a few dice to toss in the air. Also, add dice-shaped decorations to the ends of his crown, and draw his long sceptre, which he's holding in his left hand (on your right).

Erase all of your remaining extra lines. Your drawing is almost finished!

Give your drawing some bright, vibrant colour using markers, coloured pencils, crayons, or a program on your computer.

Add some shading to your picture to give it a bit of depth and realism. Does your drawing look like it's ready to challenge someone to a game of Dice-A-Roo?
