How to draw a Tuskaninny Sailor : Printable Version

Start by drawing a circle for the top of the Tuskaninny's head. Then, lightly sketch a pair of crossed lines where you want his face to go. These lines will help you place the sailor's facial features later on.

Next, draw the Tuskaninny's snout. Don't forget to add some curving lines for his mouth.

Just above his snout, give the Tuskaninny Sailor a pair of glaring eyes.

Now that you have most of his facial features in place, you can erase the guidelines. Next, finish drawing the Tuskaninny's mouth, which is open. Then, give some more shape to his snout as well.

Add an oval-shaped nose to the middle of the Tuskaninny's snout. Next, draw a pair of thick, furrowed eyebrows just above his eyes.

Make a few curved lines in both of his eyes for this sailor's pupils and irises (the coloured part of the eye). These lines should be in the upper left corners of his eyes, because the Tuskaninny Sailor is looking in that direction. Don't forget to colour in his pupils.

It's now time to start working on the Tuskaninny Sailor's body. First, make a short line on either side of his head, which will be for his shoulders. Next, draw a long curved line that starts beneath his right shoulder (which is on your left) for his body.

The Tuskaninny Sailor is leaning against a barrel, so begin shaping that barrel by drawing a wide almond shape for the top and two curved lines for the barrel's sides.

Draw the lower part of the Tuskaninny's body.

Finish the Tuskaninny's body shape by adding his tail.

Begin to form the Tuskaninny Sailor's arms by making an oval just below each of the lines you drew for his shoulders.

At the ends of the ovals you just made, add two small circles for his hands.

The Tuskaninny's right arm (which is on your left) is bent, and his hand is curved into a fist. His left arm (the one on your right) is resting on the top of the barrel. Add separate fingers to the circle you made for his left hand.

The Tuskaninny Sailor needs some detail to make him unique, so give your swashbuckler a mop of hair on top of his head and a short t-shirt.

This Tuskaninny doesn't look like much of a sailor yet. To give him a true nautical look, add a bandanna tied around his head and a hoop earring for the end of his tail.

Give the barrel a bit of extra detail by drawing some studs around its rim.

It's time to really make your drawing interesting and unique with lots of finishing details. Start off with some spots on the Tuskaninny's snout for his whiskers, and then put an anchor tattoo on his arm so he looks like a real sailor. Next, draw a striped pattern on his shirt and spots on his bandanna. Finally, include some wooden texture on the barrel hes leaning against.

Erase any remaining extra lines. Give your drawing some vivid colour using markers, coloured pencils, or even a computer program.

Finally, add a bit of shading for extra depth and realism. Your drawing of the Tuskaninny Sailor should now be shipshape and seaworthy!
