Lisha's eyes are wide, her smile even wider, as she listens to the story.

"I've been a knight of Meridell ever since," Jeran says. "For many years now. I trained with Peredur, and he taught me many things. But being a knight came so naturally to me... everything just... seemed like the right thing to do."

Lisha hugs her brother. "I'm so proud of you!" she says. "But why... I mean... you were a little boy when you left!"

Jeran laughs. "With time travel... who knows?"

Lisha joins him in his laughter. "Who knows?!?" she said, throwing up her arms.

"I do know one thing," Jeran says. "Now that you're here, everything is perfect. I missed you so much."

"And I missed you," she says to him. "But we're together again! And nothing can change that!"

Jeran nods. "Yes. Nothing can change that."

They hug again, and Jeran sees a cloud pass overhead. No, not a cloud... a shadow. A shadow from a citadel, floating high on the horizon, blotting out the sun....
