Fighting with the Big Boys (and Girls): An Equipment Guide for the Rich

by drewspets

Are you affluent and need help in equipping your pet for the Battledome? Well, we've read equipment guides for lower income and middle income owners, now it's time to learn how to equip when you've made it to the $big_leagues$.

Attack Weapons:

Ultra Attack Chives: This weapon is good, but not great. It does 10 icons in the Battledome, 5 earth and 5 water icons. The problem with this weapon is that it's not worth the 3 million it retails for. I've used this weapon and it breaks after 1-5 rounds. For me, this weapon averages 3 rounds before it disintegrates until the next battle. Ultra Attack Chives are also easily blocked by experience battlers, since there are an abundance of defence items out there that block both water and earth. 3 out of 5 stars

Golden Butter Knife: I personally recommend this weapon. It does 10 Physical icons in the Battledome. It's quite expensive at nearly 7 million, but physical icons are one of the more difficult icons to block. This weapon is a must have for a pampered pet. 5 out of 5

Zaptwig: This weapon is a step better than the attack chives. It does 5 earth and 5 light icons and it does not break. My only problem with this weapon is that the 5 earth icons are easily blocked in the Battledome, especially if the other pet is carrying a greater staff. This weapon is good for its price of 4 million. 3 out of 5

Balthazar Claw: I highly recommend this weapon, especially with the combination of the ability berserk and Golden butter knife. It can do twelve icons overall, 3 earth, 3 fire, 3 light, and 1 physical + has a chance of doing 2 addition physical icons. The price is numbing at 8 million, but it's a great attack weapon to have. 4 out of 5

Hat of the Muffin Man: This weapon is one of the retired weapons from the hidden tower and fetches nearly 10 million in the trading post. This weapon creates muffins, which are capable of doing 15 icons of damage, depending on what muffin you pull out. Generally the muffins taken out of the hat are pretty good. I recommend this weapon for high hit point pets. 4 out of 5

Spectre's Battledeck: Also another retired weapon from the tower, which generally fetches 2.5 million in trades or auction. I don't recommend this weapon, even for high hitpoint pets. When I used it, I took out a lot of red battle cards, which is a waste of attack time. Spectre's Battle Deck is capable of doing nearly 15 icon damage if you pull out a gold Spectre, Fernypoo, and 00 Hog Battlecards. So if your patient and don't mind getting really bad pulls once in a while, then get this item. 2 out of 5

ATTACK and DEFENCE in ONE:

Greater Staff of the Earth Faerie: This weapon is my absolute favorite out of the hidden tower. It does 3 earth icons and 1 physical with a chance of doing 2 additional icons. The attack on this weapon is not impressive, but its defence is awesome. This weapon defends against all earth icons, and can defend 4 air icons as well. I highly recommend this weapon at the price of 1.5 million. 4 out of 5

Rod of Dark Nova: This weapon is pretty good as a defence item. It does 1 light, dark, fire, and air icons, and it makes 3 dark novas which does 5 dark and 4 light icons. The Rod by itself heals an average of 35 hit points, and the dark nova that it produces heals an additional 13-22 hit points. This item is priced at 14 million, but its healing capabilities gives any pet an advantage in the Battledome. 4 out of 5

DEFENCE:

Umbrella Shield: This item can be found in the cove, and can be bought at the trading post or auctions at nearly 2 million. This item is probably the best defence item out there. It defends all light icons, all water, up to 5 earth and up to 5 air, and defends against 2 fire. I highly recommend this weapon since it makes a lot of the weapons out there useless against you. 4 out of 5

Hypno Helmet: This item freezes an opponent for a round and disappears for the battle. Freezing is highly effective in the Battledome With the price tag of 125,000, this defence item is a must have for all battlers. 5 out of 5

Jade Scorchstone: If your pet has hitpoints over 80, I highly recommend it at 2 million. This item heals your pet completely, but when in battle, and if your opponent attacks and does damage, it does not block those damage. 4 out of 5

Jeweled Scarab: The best healing item out there. It heals your pet fully, and when you heal with it and your opponent attacks, your pet will not incur any damage. If you have 8 million of junk change, spend it on this weapon. 5 out of 5

Thyora's Tear: This weapon is great if you want to freeze or heal in the battle. It blocks all the damage that your opponent sends your way. This weapon is especially great when your opponent is using weapons that are over 10 icons, but unfortunately it disappears until the next battle. 3 out of 5

That's all for now. I hope that especially helpful. If you have further questions on the Battledome, feel free to Neomail me.
