The Chocolate Touch by ticketytock2kay | |
Kazookee was a brown Aisha who loved chocolate. She could eat mountains of
chocolate without stopping. Chocolate Bars, Chocolate Tacos, Chocolate Donuts,
Chocolate Sprinkles, Chocolate Ice Cream - anything she could lay her little
brown paws on, provided it had that chocolate goodness, of course. In fact,
her owner told her that she was brown because she had eaten so much chocolate.
"You are what you eat, you know," Shirley, her owner, always said.
This morning was the same as any other morning. Kazookee was busy eating her
chocolate ice cream and chocolate cake along with a chocolate milkshake for
breakfast, and her owner was out buying a copy of The Neopian Times. Suddenly
she saw a sparkle of white light dash past the window near the bushes outside.
Curious, the brown Aisha left her chocolate, and went outside to see what it
was. She couldn't believe her eyes! A very tiny Air Faerie - the size of her
right paw - was sitting amongst the bushes eating the Kraku Berries!
Excited, Kazookee remembered that if she caught a Faerie, they would have
to bless her. Quietly and slowly, she crept up behind the bushes and clasped
the Faerie into her cupped paws. The tiny Faerie screeched as loud as she could,
but Kazookee merely went back into the house, the Faerie still in her paws.
Opening her paws slowly, she let the Air Faerie go. The Faerie fluttered her
wings and rose to the air indignantly. "What do you think you're doing, scaring
me like that? I thought you were that mean old blue Lupe..." she shuddered, darting
around the room.
"You have to bless me now," Kazookee said promptly, for she knew the Faerie
would have to. "Oh, that's what you want, is it now?" the Air Faerie said, landing
on the table beside the Chocolate Milkshake. The milkshake, believe it or not,
was three times the size of the faerie herself! She had to stand on tiptoes
to reach the end of the straw and she tugged it with all her might as she sipped
a little bit of the chocolate goodness.
Kazookee nodded, going over to the fridge and taking out a box of Kau Kau
Chocolate Milk, seeing her milkshake wouldn't last very long.
"Well, the problem is, I haven't been trained properly yet, so I can't bless
you, but I can grant you a wish, of course," said the Air Faerie, sipping the
very last drop of the milkshake. "But one only, not three, not two, ONE. I don't
have enough magic for more than one wish." She added. "And the only rule is:
You cannot wish for more wishes. Understand?"
Now this was new to Kazookee. She could have anything she wanted, anything
at all! But what would she ask for? A million Neopoints? No... maybe two million,
nah... ask for three million! Or better yet…
CHOCOLATE! Of course! Why hadn't she thought of that first? If everything
was chocolate, life would be absolutely perfect! Without a second's thought
or hesitation, she announced, "I would like everything I touch turn to chocolate."
The effect was enormous! "The chocolate touch!" the Air Faerie shrieked. "Oh
goody! I've always wanted to do this!" she said, dancing and prancing excitedly
on the tabletop. She fluttered her beautiful pinky-lavender wings and sprinkled
her Faerie Dust on Kazookee, while humming the tune that paint brushes hum.
"Try it! Please hurry!" said the Faerie, when she was done with her strange
performance. She seemed much more excited than Kazookee herself. "How?" asked
the Aisha, looking rather flushed. "Touch something... anything!" urged the Faerie,
tap-dancing lightly on the tabletop.
"Okay," and with that, Kazookee touched the table, and it turned to solid
chocolate! That made the Aisha really excited. "Oh, is it edible?" she asked
the Faerie, who was now dancing on the chocolate table. "It should be... take
a bite and see!" came the reply, and the Faerie herself took a tiny bite from
where she was sitting. "Oh yes, oh my, yes it is edible, oh and it is so good!"
cried the Faerie in delight. "Touch something else, quick!"
This little brown Aisha didn't need anymore encouragement at all! She pranced
around the living room touching everything she could - the fridge, the carpet,
the sofa, her Robo Meerca, and when she was done, she flew upstairs to her room.
In almost no time at all, all her plushies and Usukis (and all her other toys,
for that matter), were made out of solid, creamy, chocolate. Even her bed was
chocolate.
Just then, Shirley came back home, carrying her fresh copy of the Neopian
Times as well as a bag of Chocolate Donuts and Dark Chocolate Bruces for her
little brown Aisha.
She stopped suddenly and seemed frozen to the spot. Then she shrieked, "Kazookee!
Come down here this instant!" The little brown Aisha ran down the stairs (which
were turned to chocolate) to greet her owner. "Hi Shirley! Look! I caught a
faerie, and it gave me the chocolate touch! Everything I touch will become chocolate!
Isn't it great? It's edible too! You should try some!" Shirley stood rooted
to the floor, and then she suddenly started screaming incomprehensible words
at Kazookee. Not knowing why, Kazookee fainted.
An hour or two later: "Kazookee? You're up! Finally! You've been sleeping
for hours and hours but you simply refused to get up! Every time I called you,
you would just grunt. Anyway, come downstairs and have lunch. It's too late
to be called breakfast." Shirley shook the sleepy Aisha as Kazookee sat up in
her bed.
A bit puzzled and confused, Kazookee trotted down the stairs (which were NOT
chocolate, by the way), and ran into the kitchen. Everything seemed normal -
that is, not chocolate. Kazookee went into the living room. It, too, was normal.
Nothing was made of chocolate. "Thank goodness, it was just a dream, then,"
Kazookee breathed a sigh of relief.
"Kazookee! Come in here! Lunch is ready." Kazookee made her way back into
the kitchen happily. "What's for lunch?"
"Chocolate Milkshake, some Chocolate Chias, and Chocolate Cake."
"Sorry Shirley... but I feel as if I really can't eat a thing," Kazookee admitted,
rubbing her tummy. She then walked out of the kitchen and started completing
her homework. Just then, she picked up her pencil, and to her amazement, it
turned to chocolate! She shook her head and rubbed her forehead. Then, picking
up the pencil again, she realised it was still a regular pencil - not a chocolate
one. She shook her head again, saying, "Nah... it couldn't be."
