The Alien Aisha: Part Three

by krazy4kikos

I walked through town aimlessly, occasionally checking the stores to see what they held. Many of the shopkeepers gave me free food from their shops to see what I thought of it, because they could tell I was foreign.

I learned that the bakery had what they called bread, like round "donuts" covered with sweet stuff and long "loafs" of "sourdough." The gardening supplies store sold beautiful things called "flowers" in bright colours and a variety of exquisite scents. Hubert sold long bits of meat wrapped in bread and covered with other things that looked disgusting to me, so I declined his offer to try.

The Pizzaroo sold various things on triangular pieces of bread. Those also looked inedible. Usukiland sold lovely dolls that looked like the grooming supplies shopkeeper dressed in different outfits. They also sold clothes and accessories for the dolls. Unis Clothing had cloth to cover yourself with different patterns on the front. Fresh Smoothies was one of my favourite stores. They had flavoured juice and ice in plastic containers. I went crazy for the Ice-Creamy Jelly Large that the Tuskaninny offered to me. There were more shops that would take much too long to describe, so I won't.

As I sadly left the town area, I bumped into a creature with its head down. "Excuse me!" it cried indignantly. "Nobody bumps into Karl the Kyrii and gets away with it!" The yellow and brown animal in his arms yapped in agreement.

"I'm sorry, sir," I mumbled.

"Who in tarnation are you?" the Kyrii demanded. "And what is wrong with your head?"

I could feel my quick temper raging. "I could ask the same thing of you!" I yelled. "I said I was sorry and you had to keep on making cracks! If I wanted to I could get the whole Coco tribe to chop you up and eat you for dinner, but it would probably make them sick!"

Karl the Kyrii raised his eyebrows. "Yes, I'm sure," he remarked. "Come on, William, my precious little Warf." He waltzed off with his nose in the air.

As quickly as it came up my rage disappeared. "I will find a way to help the poor people of Neopia," I told myself.

I continued walking down the street. Then I saw a magnificent creature with four legs, two wings, and a horn coming from its forehead. "What are you?" it asked in surprise. "You look a little like an Aisha but..."

"I'm an Aisha from another planet," I told it. "My name is Noluny. Who and what are you?"

"Uni, Restrus," he said proudly. "Can I help you, Noluny?"

"Yes," I replied. "Can you take me to see the Faeries?"

"Oh, gee." Restrus bit his lip. "I can't fly all the way up to Faerieland but I can take you to see the Snow Faerie."

I thought about it. "Okay," I agreed. "Let's go. But how will we get there?"

Restrus pointed to his back. "Get on, Noluny." I obediently climbed on and we soared over Neopia. I peered over Restrus's wings so much that he begged me to lean back so I wouldn't fall.

At last we landed in Terror Mountain. "Okay, go past the Slushie Shop and turn right at the Snowball Game. Go to the Ice Caves, and then at the back you can get to the Top of the Mountain. The Snow Faerie lives right next to the Garage Sale, can't miss it. Good luck!"

"Thanks," I replied. "Thank you so much, Restrus, for everything!" I headed toward the Ice Caves.

Once inside, I could easily see the sign that said, "Top of the Mountain," but I got distracted. There was a big oval-shaped store that said Neggery. I went inside.

"Hi I'm the Negg Faerie can I help you?" a lady with green hair, green clothes, and green wings asked.

"The Negg Faerie?" I cried.

"Can't help you with Faerie stuff, sorry," she replied instantly. "But would you like to trade in a Negg or two?"

"What in the galaxy is a Negg?" I wondered.

"This!" The Negg Faerie held out an orange oval. "Here, let me show you."

The Negg Faerie led me to a room where there were thousand of animals called NeoPets with thousands of Neggs. They shoved the Neggs into machines and it spit out bright coins. "They're trading their Neggs for Negg Tokens," the Negg Faerie told me proudly. "Trading?" I asked. "Oh! I, I, I have to go."

I know how I could make something to help the Neopians, I thought. Make some sort of vending machine where they exchange something for money and food!
