"IT'S SO GOOD to see you again, Jellybraun," said Kay, on the verge of tears.
"Yeah, Jellybraun. What Kay said," said Brian,
then he laughed.
"It's good to see the two of you once again.
But, how did you get captured" asked Jellybraun.
"Rowfort sold us out to the Lupes while we were
sleeping. The next day, right before we were going to part with Brian, we were
captured by the Lupes. They took the egg from Kay and then let Rowfort run off
to Tyrannia. They say they will take the egg to Tyrannia when they send their
invasion army into that country." Brian was panting when he finished he had
tried to say it all in one breath.
"The Lupes have the egg!" exclaimed Jellybraun.
"Yes," replied Kay.
"Then we have to go retrieve it! We have to take
it there ourselves, we can't trust the Lupes with it! I'll get a platoon ready
in one hour have the egg back by tonight. I promise you."
"All right!" exclaimed Brian and Kay together.
Jellybraun left and went to another war war tent.
Brain and Kay turned and looked at the ongoing battle. Despite the fire power
the Chia army seemed to have, the Lupes were mauling them. Some were even devoured
by the Lupes, if they were injured badly enough. However, though the tide was
in their favour, the Lupes weren't doing to well either. The frost cannons,
bubble guns, snowballs, and other weapons of the Chia's were taking a toll on
the Lupes.
"It's terrible," said Kay.
"Yes I know," answered Brian.
"Why must this war be happening? We all know
that Neopia is supposed to be a peaceful place, and it almost always has been.
It's people like these Lupes that ruin it all."
"Yeah, I know what you mean. This war is possibly-"
Jellybraun walked in, whistling cheerfully.
"The platoon just left to get the egg, they say they'll have it by morning.
In the meantime, we might as well sleep."
"Good idea," said Kay. The group went to sleep
on the cots inside the war tent, dreaming happy dreams of recovering the egg
and doing away with it. They slept soundly, hardly moving at all...
"General Jellybraun!" yelled a soldier running into the tent. The group opened
their eyes, it was a dark, foggy morning. A light drizzle was falling, soaking
it, overall, a gloomy morning in Terror Mountain.
"What is it?" asked Jellybraun, feeling groggy.
"The Lupes, they gave the egg to some Grundos,
who brought it into their spaceship, which took off only moments after. Then
a few space transports landed and Dropped off at least five hundred Grundo soldiers,
and weapons. It seems that they are in league with the Lupes, which is not a
good thing for us. All but one of the transports returned to space."
"This is not good," said Jellybraun. "How
are we supposed to fight them all?"
"We'll help you," said a familiar voice.
All of them turned around and saw the figures of Magister Wally and Princess
Vyssa with a large army behind them.
"Magister Wally!" screamed Kay joyfully, as he
ran to the Lenny. "It's so good to see you! Especially now! Oh I love you! How
are you doing?! Are you still injured?!"
"Oh I'm flattered," said the Magister.
"And as for the answers to your questions, I'm doing fine, thank you. But I'm
not the only old friend here."
"Who else is here?!" piped up Brian.
"Me," said Butterwort, stepping out of
the rain. He too, wielded an army, obviously the Haunted Woods Militia. "Let's
get onto that extra transport and go to VirtuPets! Maybe we can resolve this
all."
The friends agreed, and so Jellybraun, Magister
Wally, Butterwort, Kay, and Brian, set off to take the transport and fly it
to the VirtuPets space station, currently stationed over Coltzan's shrine in
the Lost Desert. Soon, the were only about ten yards from the transport. Two
Grundos guarded the door going into the ship. They were heavily armed.
"How are we to overtake them, Magister? We have
no fire power," said Kay.
"That is no problem," said the Magister. "Look
to the coast." The group looked toward the sea. Out of the fog came an armada
of ships, all flying the Lost Desert flag. The Magister groped in his pocket,
until he retrieved a radio. He spoke into it. "Aim at the two Grundo guards
at the transport, then fire." A moment later, steady streams of electricity
came from the two ships and hit the Grundos. The collapsed. "Now run into it!"
yelled Wally.
The group ran into the transport and encountered
two more Grundos, who they overtook, then proceeded to the cockpit. Jellybruan
started the ship, and began flying into space. They moved on for a few hours,
until they reached VirtuPets. Without sending a radio message to inform the
bridge of their coming, the transport plowed its way into the space station's
landing bay. Before leaving the ship, Jellybraun, who had been exploring the
transport, handed them each a Sword of Domar. They thanked him, then the group
exited the ship, immediately meeting resistance from Grundos. They attacked
the Grundos, then moved on into a long white, empty hallway.
