Kauvara finished, "The Muntox Gem must of been
attracted to another genetic similarity. There must be something strange inside
the Wishing Well." She stood up, and fetched a few potions and placed them in
four backpacks. "Why are you packing?"
Kauvara smiled. "Don't you want to find what's
inside the well?"

"Okay, egold, spacegold. Your coming with epk
and me, you won't need a backpack," Kauvara said. She then turned to my other
two pets. "Then splashgold, your going to examine the Lose Desert river. Here's
a backpack. And lizzagold, your going to stay here if anything comes up. Take
a backpack, just in case."
Lizzagold was confused. "Just in case what?"
Kauvara gave a vague answer, "Just in case."
I told my pets to get to bed, since we had a
big day tomorrow. I asked Kauvara if she wanted to stay overnight in the guest
room. She rejected, saying she had to close up shop.
Swimming the 8th; 7:04 AM; The Wishing Well
I arrived at the Wishing Well with my backpack,
Kauvara with hers. Egold and spacegold were behind me. "Everyone ready?" asked
Kauvara. We nodded. Sooner then not, we had already jumped inside the well.
It was a long drop, but Kauvara used one of her potions to protect us from injury.
Swimming the 8th; 7:14 AM; Underneath the Wishing Well
After a ten minute drop, (Kauvara's Potion slowed
us down a bit) we found ourselves in a dark cave. Kauvara used a Magic Torch
to light everything up. We saw a huge dome built out of granite and marble.
We stood in awe, but we suddenly heard footsteps. A colony of about seven or
eight Grundos were walking towards the dome. I was surprised, and turned around
to look at spacegold's reaction. But he too, was also walking towards the dome.
I asked egold to get fetch a Camouflage Potion
out of the backpack and put it on. Egold soon became 98% invisible, a dim outline
was hard to see. I directed him to follow the Grundos, and he gladly volunteered.
As the Gelert ran off into the distance, and later inside the dome, I sat back
and started reading a book.
"EPK! EPK!" egold came back barking, his camouflage
wearing off.
"Be quiet egold!" I told him. "What did you see?"
"It was a...*gasp*...huge...*gasp*...like four
stories...Mutant Grundo...huge!" egold panted.
I turned to Kauvara. "How could a Grundo be huge?"
She didn't know. I asked egold if he saw anything else.
"Millions of those Muntox Gems! Millions!" egold
yelled, then fainted.
Kauvara exclaimed, "Epk! Those Grundos are magnetically
attracted to the Muntox Gem's, the Gems are attracted to the Mutant Grundo!
The more gems that get to the Mutant Grundo, the stronger the power of the Gems
are! In weeks, no days, all the Grundos and Muntox Gems will be down here!"
"What are we going to do?" I asked her.
"We'll have to wait for egold to wake up and
he'll have to back in for more information."
Swimming the 8th; 8:27 AM; 22851 Aisha Avenue
Ding-Dong!
The Doorbell rang at my NeoHome. Lizzagold wasn't
hesitant to open the door at all. "Hello?" she greeted a Yellow Kyrii and Slorg.
"Is this 22851 Wishing Well Road?" the Kyrii
asked.
"No...this is 22851 Aisha Avenue. You need any
help?"
"Thank you no," the Kyrii rejected. She then
saw a picture of egold on the wall. "Hey, that's the Gelert that beat me yesterday,
isn't it?"
"Oh, so your that obnoxious Furdark egold told
me about!" lizzagold laughed.
Furdark growled. "Well, where is egold?"
Lizzagold told Furdark about our quest. Furdark
jumped up. "I knew it! He's trying to find the tag-team Battledome! The stupid
mongrel! C'mon Minion, we're going after them." She then looked at lizzagold.
"Oh, did I say that your coming with?"
Swimming the 8th; 8:34 AM; Sakhmet River
Splashgold was tired. He had searched the entire
pond near Coltzan's Shrine and found nothing except for a small two meter radius
hole in the ground that was too deep to investigate. He dragged himself out
of the river and crawled over to the nearest Pay Phone. (Cybunny Communications
has been placing them in convenient locations) His inserted his 5 NP and called
our NeoHome. *RING* *RING* *RING* No answer. Splashgold assumed lizzagold was
taking her daily 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM shower that wasted all the hot water.
His next goal was to contact us underneath the
Wishing Well. To his luck, a Faerie Zafara just happened to be whizzing by.
"Yo, Zafara!" he yelled. The Zafara slowed. "Can you send a message to some
people inside the Wishing Well?" The Zafara nodded. "Good, tell them I have
checked the pond and found nothing but a hole that was a little curious." At
that moment two Rainbow Grundos jumped in the pond, and vanished. "Oh...also
tell them Grundos are jumping in the pond..."
Swimming the 8th; 9:21 AM; 22851 Wishing Well Road
Furdark, Minion, and lizzagold were all sitting
down while listening to a old Scorchio told them Furdark about the Tag Team
Battledome, not knowing Furdark had an evil scheme. Lizzagold was too scared
to speak, and besides, Furdark had threatened her she would get revenge is she
spoke.
The Scorchio told his story, "Ah yes...the tag
team Battledome. No, none of the Neopets Staff created it. I myself built it
out of rocks with my friends, two Quiggles and a Blumaroo. It was a prototype
that we planned to show to Neopia on Neopets 1st Birthday, but the Neopets Staff
heard about our plan and stopped us, saying they didn't need it. I've since
then forgotten where we hid it, but there were two entries."
"Thank you Mister. Here, would you mind baby-sitting
this Krawk for us while my Slorg and I continue on my quest?" Furdark asked
sweetly.
"Bah...I'm older then her. She needs to be baby-sat,
not me! And that sweet voice is soooo fake!" lizzagold thought, but was unable
to speak due to shock. She noticed a Faerie Zafara whizzing by outside the window.
Lizzagold watched the window for anything else for a long time, she had nothing
else to do.
"Does baby-waby little Wrawk want some pannycakes?"
the Scorchio said in baby talk. Lizzagold dared to say something, but Furdark's
threat remained in her mind.
Swimming the 8th; 9:27 AM; Underneath the Wishing Well
"Grundo number two-hundred-thirty-three, two-hundred-thirty-four,
two-hundred-thirty-five..." I counted the little aliens walking by.
"Be quiet!" Kauvara yelled at me.
"...two-hundred-thirty-six, ohh, a Starry one!"
"SHUT UP!" Kauvara yelled even louder.
A younger Grundo who walked by lectured Kauvara,
"My mommy say Shut wup is a baaaad werd." The Grundo then joined his colony
of Grundos.
I waited for the Grundos to stop coming from
above the Wishing Well and out from nowhere before asking Kauvara something
that had been bugging me. "Any idea why these Grundos are walking towards the
gems?"
"I said, the Muntox Gems are genetically
magnetically attracting them towards the Mutant Grundo, the Muntox Gems are
attracted to the Grundo."
"But the Grundos aren't aware of it? Shouldn't
they be in a trance of something?" I asked.
"They just don't know they are walking towards
the gems," Kauvara said.
"Ohh...but when they see the Mutant Grundo wouldn't
they react?"
"They then go into a trance, since they can't
get any closer to the Gems. The Mutant Grundo is unaffected by the Gems, and
so are all other Mutant Grundos. This one is larger and can possibly use the
Grundos to make an army," Kauvara explained.
"AHHHHHHHH!" egold yelled. He had just awoken,
but still had bad memories.
"Hey, egold, ready to go back in?"
Swimming the 8th; 9:32 AM; Inside the Stone Dome
There were about 240 Grundos inside the dome,
and it was a little cramped, especially with the four story Mutant and thousands
of gems in one corner. Luckily, egold was able to manoeuvre around it nicely
with help of the Camouflage Potion and a prototype Levitation Potion. About
half the Grundos were darker and also wet, an interesting discovery. He noticed
strange markings on the floor of the dome. It resembled the Battledome, but
had an extra square on each side of the field. Was this the Tag Team Battledome?
