Kiko Christmas Story - Transcribed: Part Two

by too_kule

Santa's sleigh slowly landed in the snow of Happy Valley. Takeeran the Christmas Scorchio and Nyorla the Christmas Kiko hopped out of the sleigh. It was 11:30 PM NST, so they didn't have much time.

"Where's your workshop?" questioned Nyorla. She knew that they had to hurry or else Christmas would be ruined for Neopets nation-wide.

"Follow me," replied Takeeran. He led Nyorla through a small forest until they came upon a small cabin.

"This is it!?!" exclaimed Nyorla. She had expected it to be a little bigger. How could hundreds of elves fit into this cabin, when she and Takeeran could probably barely fit.

"As if," snorted Takeeran. He knocked three times on the cabin door. It was opened by a Christmas Koi. Nyorla looked in to see it was empty except for a set of stairs that led down into the ground. Nyorla followed Takeeran down the stairs. She gasped when she looked what was down there.

"Welcome to Santa's Toy Shop!" greeted Takeeran. It was gigantic, with red and green walls. Hundreds of little Christmas Koi and Christmas Usul were shoving all of the toys into a sack.

"How can millions of toys fit into such a small sack?" asked Nyorla.

"It's magic of course! It's also very light too, I can lift it with one hand," said Takeeran. A Christmas Usul was carrying the sack to the sleigh.

"What time is it?" Nyorla asked the little Usul. The Usul opened the sack and pulled out an Official Usuki Clock which was ringing.

"Midnight! You'd better hurry!" cried the Usul. Nyorla and Takeeran followed the Usul outside to the sleigh. She put the sack inside as Takeeran and Nyorla jumped in.

"Good luck!" called the Christmas Usul as the Christmas Gelert pulled it away into the night.

The red sleigh flew into the darkness as it climbed higher and higher to the peak of Terror Mountain. There were hundreds of little cabins to visit.

"How are we going to visit all of these?" questioned Nyorla.

"Simple," Takeeran answered. Out of his sleeve he pulled a Christmas Magic Wand. "Everyone thinks that these don't do anything! The only reason they were made is to help Santa Clause deliver the toys, so they won't work for anyone else."

     "How do you use it?"

"You wave it in the air and recite the incantation," he said right before he cleared his throat. "Cindy wants a doll and Billy wants a ball, make sure these toys are given to one and all!" With that toys magically shot out of the sleigh and flew to the little cabins. They entered through the chimney.

"I thought Santa delivered all of these by hand!"

"He does, this is just for emergencies. This counts as an emergency so I used it. Hold on, Tyrannia here we come!"

***

So they delivered the toys in every world. In Terror Mountain, Tyrannia, Neopia Central, Haunted Woods, Faerieland, Lost Desert, Meridell and Krawk Island too, pets were assured to wake up to.

"That leaves Mystery Island. We can deliver the toys and then we can pick up Santa! OK guys, we're nearly there!" Takeeran yelled to the Christmas Gelerts who were starting to look a little exhausted. It was 3:30 AM NST. Since pets always woke up early on Christmas (especially on Mystery Island because it's lighter more often) they were very rushed. The sleigh slowly made it's way onto the cold sand.

"We're here!" cheered Nyorla. Takeeran pulled out the Christmas Magic Wand again.

     Snap!

As the wand was being pulled out of Takeeran's sleeve it had been bent and it snapped.

     "Uhoh!" cried Takeeran.

"Don't worry, there must be another one in the bag! Some Neopet might have asked for a Christmas Magic Wand," suggested Nyorla. She looked through the sack with no luck.

"We'll just have to deliver these by ourselves," Takeeran said. They set off to deliver the toys.

***

It was 4:30 AM NST. Takeeran and Nyorla had just finished delivering the toys to all of the houses...well almost all of them.

"Last stop, everybody out!" exclaimed Takeeran. It was still dark but sounds could be heard throughout the island as young pets were waking up early to check their presents.

"Good luck," said Nyorla to Takeeran. Nyorla had gone into the first house but since she was a Kiko it had taken her a while to get onto the roof. Since that happened, Takeeran always flew up to the chimney and dropped through. Seconds turned into minutes as Nyorla waited. She was starting to get worried.

"I'd better help," muttered Nyorla to herself. While flying, Takeeran had told her all about the sleigh. She looked in and pulled out a Wand of Ultranova. She walked up to the door and waved the wand. She waved it and an Ultranova appeared. The Ultranova emitted purple light that knocked the door down. Nyorla gasped.

"Santa! Takeeran!" They were tied up on the ground with Malkus Vile standing there. He looked at the little Christmas Kiko and smiled...until he saw the wand. Nyorla waved it and an Ultranova appeared.

"I'M ON FIRE!" screamed Malkus Vile right after the Ultranova was set on him. He ran out of the hut and down to the beach.

"Are you OK?" Nyorla asked as she untied Santa and Takeeran.

"Yes, but the important question is: Did you deliver the toys?" asked Santa Clause. Nyorla nodded. "Oh good! I arrived here, my vacation house to get the NP but Malkus was already here! He tied me up but thanks to you, I'm OK."

"Yeah he tied me up too," Takeeran chimed in. Then Takeeran and Santa looked at each other.

"Thank-you for helping us Nyorla. As a Christmas present from us to you...would you like to stay with us and deliver toys?" Santa asked.

     "Really? Thanks!" cried Nyorla.

So that is the story of how a little Christmas Kiko and a little Christmas magic saved Christmas. Nyorla still help Santa Clause out to this day. So on Christmas Eve, if you see a little Christmas Kiko assisting Santa you'll know how she got there.
