"How's the lab working for you Shaeylan?" Myyth the diabolical
fire Eyrie asked his companion Shaeylan. Their secret lair was currently being
built on the plot of land they had taken for themselves and at the moment Shaeylan
was at work in their half built lab. The construction workers that they had scared
into building their lair for free were quickly building around the two of them.
"Quite all right really. I don't need many things
for this project," responded the green Aisha referring to the Robot Blumaroo
that lay in a pile of parts before her. Slowly, but surely, she was putting
the Blumaroo back together as well as rewiring her. Hopefully, if all went well,
the Robot Blumaroo would do their bidding and become a very loyal minion.
"Good, we're going to need all the help we can
get around here. Now I'm off to find us some breakfast." With that Myyth picked
his way through the random building materials that lay strung around the are
and exited the pile of wood that was their lair.
Shaeylan plucked at some of the wires in the
Blumaroo Robot, attaching blue ones, cutting red ones, tying green ones. She
was so lost in her work that she didn't notice Rhapsody approaching her.
"Hmph. This part of one of your domination plan
things?" Rhapsody asked sitting on her haunches and peering over Shaeylan's
shoulder. "A robot Blumaroo?! Where'd you get her? If I find you've stolen her
from her family I will personally..."
"Calm down Rhapsody. I found her in a pile last
night when I was on a walk. No idea how she got there, I just brought her here,"
was Shaeylan's calm and calculated response as she continued to put the Blumaroo
together while tinkering with her wiring.
"Oh, right. You brought her home out of the goodness
of your heart." Rhapsody's drawl was so thick with sarcasm that a knife could
have cut through it.
"She's going to be a faithful servant to Myyth
and I," Shaeylan stated plainly, not looking up from the robot Blumaroo
"You two sicken me," Rhapsody muttered as she
turned around and tried to think of someway to stop Shaeylan from controlling
the robot Blumaroo

Myyth hummed the theme to "Jaws", the blockbuster hit where a Jetsam went crazy
and randomly attacked things, under his breath as he jauntily trotted through
Neopia central. He was in a rather pleasant mood. After all, he was getting
his very own secret lair built. That was enough to get any evil villain in a
cheerful mood. Even though Rhapsody had unexpectedly moved in with them, Myyth
had a darn good feeling that they'd be able to get her out of the way somehow.
"Hmm...I don't have much...maybe Shaeylan would
like a donut." Myyth shook the near empty pouch of Neopoints and frowned. "Oh
well. This should get us two plain donuts." He turned through the crowd of people
in made his way towards the food shop. That's when he caught the tail end of
a sentence that very quickly got his attention.
"...This will help out a bunch in my Neopia Domination
meeting! Mwahaha!" said a voice form somewhere in the mob of people that were
out doing their day shopping. Myyth froze midstep his eyes darting around, trying
to find the source of the voice.
He found it.
It was a boy with bushy black hair and glasses
that sat on his nose. He had a sort of smug confidence about him and wildly
flung a flamethrower about. Myyth instantly despised the boy and glowered at
him in fury. How dare he thing that he could even have a chance of Neopia Domination
against Myyth?
"Hey. You. Kid," Myyth said sullenly to
the boy.
No response.
"Hey kid, I'm talking to you. When Myyth
talks to you, you drop what you're doing and listen! Got it?" Myyth hissed.
The boy raised his eyebrows turning away from the random people and pets he
was threatening to flame with his flamethrower.
"I'll do whatever I please, thankyouverymuch!"
The boy shot back at Myyth before a look of recognition passed over his face.
"Oh! You're THE Myyth. I've heard about you."
"Good, because I am going to be your future leader,"
Myyth responded as if that cleared everything up. Neither Myyth or the boy noticed
the odd looks they were receiving from various passerbyers.
"No, no, no. Maybe you haven't heard of me, but
I'm Soggydude, and I'm going to take over Neopia. Just thought I'd clear that
up." Myyth wanted to thwap that cocky smirk right off Soggy's face instead he
continued in a calm and rational manner.
"I am afraid you are quite mistaken my friend.
I am Myyth. Fire Mage. Diabolical Eyrie. Do not trifle with me," Myyth
said, trying to sound as polite as possible through a gritted beak. His eyes
flickered dangerously. He did not like people questioning his power.
"Whatever you say Myyth..." but there was a mocking
tone in Soggy's voice. "I have a feeling we'll be meeting each other again."
Then Soggy disappeared into the crowd.
"I hate kids," Myyth grumbled.

"There," Shaeylan said proudly, clipping the last wire on the robot Blumaroo
Slowly, inside the Blumaroo, things begin to whirr. Her red eyes slowly began
to light up, going from dim to bright and finally she sat up.
"Hello there. I am Shaeylan. What's your name?
And who do you serve?" Shaeylan asked experimentally to the Robot, slowly pronouncing
each word.
"Brightist is my name. My primary function is
to serve both Myyth and Shaeylan," was the monotone response. The robot
just sat there looking forward. It didn't move at all. Just stared blankly.
"Very good. Very good indeed." Shaeylan grinned
proudly at her creation. "Now go have a seat until Myyth and I decide what we
can do with you." The robot nodded firmly in response and hopped off the table.
Brightist found a place in the lair to sit and did just that.
"That's it. I can not let you just take that
poor pets soul!" Rhapsody growled at Shaeylan, circling around the green Aisha.
There was an icy gleam in Rhapsody's eyes as they bored right through Shaeylan.
"Oh? What are you going to do about it?" asked
Shaeylan not losing her calm.
"This," was all Rhapsody said as she spun
around and thrust all her concentration into forcing the soul back in Brightist.
It was a very strange thing. "Soul Hiding" was
what it was called and it could only be worked on robots. When Shaeylan was
rewiring Brightist she had actually overridden the command that gave her a personality,
a soul, and replaced it with commands that made her a very simplistic robot
that mindlessly obeyed commands.
Rhapsody closed her eyes as Shaeylan watched
sceptically. In her mind she saw the inside of Brightist and telepathically
put the wires back in their original positions.
Instantly there was a very visible change in
Brightist's demeanour. She was no longer a blank emotionless robot. In fact,
she looked a bit wary as she peered around the room.
"W-w-where am I?" she asked her voice no longer
monotone but very life like.
"Hmph. I think they tables have been turned don't
you Shaeylan.?" Rhapsody smirked. Shaeylan gave her a very dirty glower in return.

Myyth was in a rather sour mood after his run in with Soggydude.
Donuts in hand he ambled through the dense forest brush that surrounded the
building site of their lab. He wasn't in any particular rush to get home. He
figured that it wouldn't be good to snap at the workers in this state of mind.
He really didn't want them to rebel or anything, not that he couldn't handle
it.
That was when the rabid petpets struck.
A angry looking mutant Noil with foam coming
out of his mouth can trampling out of a shrub and latched onto Myyth's leg.
Myyth howled in pain, shaking his foot and trying to dislodge the violent little
petpet. At first he thought this was just a single petpet randomly attacking
him.
He was wrong.
Soon after he shook the Noil off tons of petpets
flung themselves at Myyth from nowhere.
"What is going on?!" Myyth hissed reeling around
and trying to knock off the various petpets that covered him. He broke into
a run, almost making all the petpets slide off of him.
"Ha, so you think you're so powerful Myyth? Well
you're not!" a voice cackled from a tree. Myyth paused for a moment to look
up. As he peered into the canopy he saw Soggy flinging rabid petpets down into
the forest at him.
Myyth was now furious, and if it wasn't for that
fact that he was being attacked by rabid petpets then he would have harmed Soggy
right then and there.
As it was he was he was being chased by
rabid petpets so he had nothing better to do then run as fast as he could back
to their not-yet-built lair.
"Ha! See ya soon Myyth!" Soggy yelled over the
ruckus of the oncoming rabid petpets.
"I hate him," Myyth growled under his breath
as he raced through the underbrush as fast he he could.
Then he decided that he may have to sacrifice
the donuts. With a sigh he flung a donut into the forest and was relieved that
a majority of the petpets ran after it.
He was a bit irritated to find that the rest
continued to gnaw on his leg.

"I despise you," Shaeylan said as her eyes narrowed at Rhapsody. "Do you know
how much effort I put into her? She's my creation! Then you go and ruin it!"
"Put a sock in it," Rhapsody replied smartly.
"Where am I?" Brightist asked in a bit of a melancholy
tone.
"Great. I couldn't recover her memory..." she
trailed off then faced the robot. "I'm Rhapsody. I suppose this is your home
now until we can find out m ore about you. First lesson to learn...Shaeylan
and Myyth are evil. Do not listen to them."
"Got it," was Brightist's brisk reply as
she stood up and got a feel for her legs. As she wandered around aimlessly Myyth
came in.
A Doglefox had it's teeth clasped into Myyth's
ear.
"I don't know about you Shaeylan but I've had
an awful day," Myyth said in a dejected tone as he pawed at the Tyrannian
Doglefox.
"Oh I'd have to second that motion..." was Shaeylan's
reply.
Rhapsody just grinned broadly.
