“OliPoli! TikaTaka! MaziDazi! Get your lazy butts out of bed!” Bunnystar
yelled to her Aishas. MaziDazi and TikaTaka slowly drooped down the stairs
five minutes later. “Where’s OliPoli?” Bunnystar asked as she finished
preparing breakfast in a hurry.
MaziDazi yawned. “Somewhere under her blanket, I suppose,” said MaziDazi
sleepily.
“OliPoli, if you don’t get downstairs right now, you just won’t get breakfast.
Thumps were heard as OliPoli heaved down the stairs. She sat down at the
table and looked quietly at her plate. Bunnystar started scooping eggs
and bacon on to everyone’s plate.
“I’m giving you 300 NP each. You need to go do your Christmas shopping.
As for me I will have to be working major overtime at the shop. I warn
you, don’t spend it on yourselves,” Bunnystar said.
“Oh, Miss B., you ain’t gotta give me money. I’m sure my owner will
be around to get me soon,” said MaziDazi. She had of course been living
temporarily, as her real owner was out of town.
“I know, but as long as you are with us, I’ll treat you as OliPoli or
TikaTaka,” replied Bunnystar.
“Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!” shrieked TikaTaka with excitement.
“I love shopping!”
“Well, finish your breakfast and you can start pondering Neopia, here…”
Bunnystar hands them 300 NP each. “Here’s another 200 for lunch. I must
be off,” and with that Bunnystar left to tend the shop. The three finished
their meals and left as well.
Passing the bakery, OliPoli stopped and stuck her nose against the display
window, eyeing a homemade Cherry Pie. MaziDazi and TikaTaka literally
had to pry her face of the glass. “You just ate!” MaziDazi scolded. A
low rumble sounded from OliPoli’s stomach.
“I know, but my stomach doesn’t,” replied OliPoli. Next, they past the
Toy Store (which was sold out), Clothes Shop, and then the Chocolate factory.
”Hey, I know!” said TikaTaka excitedly.
“Oh did you finally figure out what one plus one equals?” said OliPoli.
MaziDazi giggled.
“No, I know what the perfect gift to everybody would be! We could buy
a truckload of White Chocolate Aishas. And just send one to every one
on our list! They’re inexpensive, yummy and-“
“Yummy,” OliPoli said, cutting TikaTaka off.
“Reasonable,” finished TikaTaka. “C’mon, let’s go!” They entered the
factory. The Kiko at the front had just turned to them.
“Just a moment, please,” he said thickly.
MaziDazi whispered in TikaTaka’s ear, “He gives me the creeps!”
“What may I do for you – erm – little ones?” They explained their order.
“Hmm… mighty big order. I will require you pay in advance…” They each
dug in there pockets. “And your grand total is 860 NP for 43 White Chocolate
Aishas. Your order will be done in precisely an hour.”
“TikaTaka, you are a genius! Our Christmas shopping is done, in only
one day!” MaziDazi praised her. “Let’s walk around town to find what we
want for Christmas!”
They walked around town, into the market place, Maraqua, The Mystery
Island, and what not. Within that hour, they had figured out what each
of them wanted. OliPoli wanted a purple skateboard, TikaTaka had wanted
a Fuzzle (any color), and MaziDazi would settle for many books.
They started toward the Chocolate Factory (their order was probably finished).
In three large brown bags were 43 White Chocolate Aishas, as they had
ordered. They stopped at the gift shop and bought wrapping supplies with
the remainder of their money. Then bought some coffee at Shoybucks.
When they arrived home, they started wrapping all 43 Aishas. Once they
were finished, MaziDazi stared at the huge pile “Uh, TikaTaka, if we give
one to each person on our list, that leaves us with 38 White Chocolate
Aishas. One for Bunnystar, one for MaziDazi’s owner, and one each for
us, which leads to 38 left. What shall we do with the remaining Aishas?”
“Oh no!” TikaTaka cried.
“I know! I’ll eat them!” said OliPoli with joy in her voice.
“900 NP, not for ourselves,” said MaziDazi. “Not for ourselves, that’s
it! We’ll donate them!”
“All of them?” said TikaTaka wearily. “But that won’t get us back the
800 NP we spent on them.”
“Yes, but there are Neopians who need them to feed to their pets. All
the poor little homeless pets… We could make a stand out in front of the
Money Tree!” wailed OliPoli. It was only noon, and for the next half hour,
TikaTaka made posters and MaziDazi and OliPoli were busy pulling a foldable
table from the attic.
“Well, that’s it!” said MaziDazi. They headed over to the Money Tree.
It was cold, windy, and dark out, yet it was only 1:00 PM. They set up
there stand and signs, and as soon as you’d know it people were gathering
around the table. Even rich people were leaving donations. They were running
low, so TikaTaka ran back to the factory and bought 300 more White and
Milk Chocolate Aishas, just with the money they got from their donations!
Many pets and owners left the table with a wrapped gift in their fingers.
They stayed out in the cold ‘til 7:00 when people started to go back home.
Their supplies were gone anyhow, and they headed back home. “That,” said
MaziDazi “was the best ever!” Bunnystar was at home when they got there.
The three Aishas had told her what had happened and Bunnystar had told
them a surprise as well. “Somebody bought a 7000 NP item from the shop!”
And so Bunnystar had given them more money for Christmas shopping because
she was so proud of their good deed.
