Part Five: The Plan
It was three months before the Dark Queen took action. Deep in the mountains
where she would strategically plan her every move swiftly, so that none
would suspect her. And there were only three main characters in her little
sly plan: Theodora, Riana, and Alston. Their friendship was the perfect
thing to frame them. None of them trusting each other after a period of
many years was more than enough a quality for the Queen. And three months
was long enough for her, believe me.
As the three would go deep into the woods, following the path of the
map, she would change their course. Whether they knew it or not would
be of no difference. Slowly, but carefully, she would steal the little
captured faeries, then sell them. She would absorb a few powers, play
a little with the people, and then continue. From the black market she
was she would move to the river near the kingdom of the Queen Faerie.
Although it was heavily guarded, she would take over that heaven in no
time. Her powers she had made leveled up nicely to that of the Faerie
Queen. She wanted a fair battle, and as sure as she was that she would
win the Queen, she wanted to plan. Surely, she had said assuring herself,
the Queen would know about it. Unfortunately, the Queen knew nothing about
it, but she fought best, when angered.
The sun rose as Theodora stretched. Riana was up, sitting at the edge
of the water, splashing at herself. Although Riana was still not use to
the pain, Theodora was. It was as if everyone had it. She felt it inside
her everyday, a power wanting to get out, but could not. She had it ever
since she could remember, and to her it was nothing. Therefore among the
three, she was the strongest. She knew the pain like it knew her.
Alston was not around. Walking over to Riana, she heard Riana singing
a song, so bright and wild. Theodora felt alive for a moment. Breathing
in deeply, she spoke to Riana.
"We have to move. Where's Al?"
"Don't know. Left before I wok-worked up."
She cleaned herself, and then both of them searched for Alston. There
was no need. He appeared before them the moment they were finished.
"Moving so soon?" Alston said.
"Unfurl-chew-nut-lee," said Riana.
"Unfortunately," corrected Theodora.
They left. The sun was shining brightly where they were; different from
where they had came from, where the rays of the sun had to pierce through
the canopy. The birds chirped, and the clear rushing waves from the crystal
clear water made them relaxed, and lessened their pain.
Pita was pointing to a small little hut. It had a well-planted garden
outside, and it looked so homey. The front door burst open, and little
children came out of there. They saw the three of them, and bowed. From
that simple gesture they learned from the children to love life, and they
walked each step, like having just awakened.
Darkness came soon enough. They had been walking the whole day, seeing
sights of wonder and love. They did not know they were at the darkest
place possible, the dark valley of the Crossbeam. As they walked the lush
green of the forest started to disappear, and be replaced by the rocky
grey scenery of the Crossbeam. The riverbeds were almost dried up, and
Pita showed a spot called the Crossbeam on her body. It was represented
as a skull…
"ENOUGH!" came a monstrous shout.
The three quivered, and then glanced uneasily about. The low voice spoke
again.
"MOVE NO FURTHER! YOU! HOW DARE YOU! YOU INTRUDERS!"
The three scrambled and ran forward, as fast as their legs could carry
them. They tripped on small rocks a few times, but picked themselves up.
Turning her head Riana saw a monster, grey like the grey they saw all
day, it's eyes hard, and black, and cold. The horns from its head moved,
and it's footsteps, loud and heavy, echoed through the valley. Riana let
out a short high-pitched screech. The monster roared in anger, picking
up pace, moving nearer, to them.
Part Six: Healed
Suddenly, as if knowing it in her senses, Theodora burst with a white
shining light. The monster shunned the light, and all were in awe of her.
Then, as if following her, Alston burst too, this time with a blue light.
Next was Riana, with her silver light. As if being awaken from the sleep
they had for a thousand million years, they found themselves with the
power of color. The gift of the Queen Faerie was showing at last.
"Hashanah!" the Dark Faerie shouted, with her voice filled with authority
and cunnings.
"Aha," she said, smiling. Her red dark lips were alluring. Her dark black
hair only showed the darkness in her. She was beautiful, like the darkness.
"Finally. All three together for a nice, perfect friendship reunion
huh? Tell me, how has the celebration been so far? Or is the pain still
hurting? Or perhaps, you would like to tell me what you are doing with
Hashanah here? Delivering that blood-curling scream Riana? Was that your
ideal of the perfect celebration? Ha. The Queen should be here shortly.
Her 'wisdom' so they say, never fails. Go crawl to her for help. I think
now would be the perfect timing to do so. Go run! Her kingdom is just
after crossbeam. What are you waiting for?" She said to them smiling like
only a loved one would.
"We would rather fight," Alston spat.
"Sure! I would welcome a fight. What can you three do to me with your
confetti colors? By the way Al', I've already been to hell," the Dark
Queen replied.
Snapping her fingers, the Dark Queen made a fireball, which came running
in their direction. Ice was delivered by Theodora to stop it. Then came
the rushing waters of Alston to cool it. Finally Riana jumped up into
the air and the moonbeam lighted the black dark place.
"Very nice," The Queen said with a lopsided grin, "Too bad that's child's
play."
The hells opened up as if, when flames shot up in a circle around them.
The heat was more then unbearable. Riana, who was a species of the water
Shoryus, kneeled down in agony. Again Alston shot water in every direction.
Theodora snapped a layer of ice over the moving waters. Riana got up,
and then to everyone's surprise, she rushed towards the Queen. The moonlight
shown solely and only on her, and then Riana went into the Queen. She
became the Queen, like a spirit taking control of her body. Theodora and
Alston quickly understood. Alston rushed waves and waves and tons of waters
towards the Queen, while Theodora threw blocks of ice the size of a continent.
Riana then stepped out of the Queen, while she received their thanks.
She fell to the ground. Her monster picked her up, and they flew away.
Humiliation was enough to hurt this Dark princess.
Now it was the Queen Faerie's turn to make an appearance. The sun rose,
flowers grew around them, slowly opening as the sun shone brighter. And
then, the most blinding holy light fell on them. They felt blessed. They
were released of the pain, healed, at last. They tried to see the Queen,
but they saw nothing but a purple figure. Then an angelic voice spoke.
"You three have been given powers. Theodora, you have the power of ice.
Alston, you have the power of water. And Riana, you have been blessed
with the power of moonlight. Your color is the only way people will know
you three as my special NeoPets. The pain was a curse from the Dark Faerie.
She wanted you three to lure me out into fighting her. But she did not
know that I give you all my powers for the time being. You will still
have a portion of my powers, but use it only for the good. You have passed
the test, the test of unity."
The Queen of faeries finished her speech. And then everything became
normal again. They were all transported back into the place they had gathered.
They were healed at last.
Just then Alston grabbed Theodora, and looking into her eyes, delivered
a passionate kiss. As their lips locked in passion, the flowers sprouted
open. It was spring, the start of a new life. The birds sung for the lovers.
All three walked home hand in hand. It was after that that little snatches
of the story was told worldwide, and presently became what you now know
it. And now that you know the full story, won't you spread a little joy?
Joy to all, because there was three in the world, who survived the entire
test put together. Joy to all.
