My name is juracicpark and I recently visited Mystery Island. It is a
good place to go exploring for people who are bored of just searching
around the shops for something to do. It has a lot of places to go and
things to get. I must admit from my point of view I think the game Catch
a Coconut is a fun game to play. You have to move the little monkey on
the screen in order to catch the coconuts falling from the trees. The monkey
in the tree tries to distract you, but you really don't notice. The game
is slow at the start, but when you play for a while, it gets fun.
The Tiki Tack is a great place to buy unusual and weird items for your
pets to have a look at. Although they are expensive, the items at the
Tiki Tack are well worth a browse. There are a lot of strange items, like
a Cherry Wish Stick, which is supposed to bring good luck to the owner.
They could all be Neopia collectors items in the future. I didn't know
you could buy lava lamps!
The Abandoned Arena was a good place to read about. Apparently it was
discovered by Benjamin the Chia while he was exploring. Although it is
a short passage, it is interesting to read about. The Ancient Training
School is a great place to teach your pet special skills and strategies.
Of course, you don't train the pets, the trainers do. There are 4 types
courses to take:
Basic, costs 1 codestone and goes for 1 hour.
Advanced, costs 2 codestones and goes for 2 hours.
Master, costs 3 codestones and goes for 4 hours.
Grand Master, costs 4 codestones and goes for 6 hours.
You can teach your pets skills on strength, defence, agility, endurance
and levels. It's good for pets who want to fight in the Battledome because
they can learn a few things to help them fight. I once found 2 codestones
but, not at the same time. Not knowing what to do with them, I put my
Orb in my shop-- jbowyer bought it for 500 NP. A few days after I found
another one, though I can't remember the name, and I gave it to jbowyer.
For some reason, I had the option of that. I didn't know then how to train
my pets so I just sold it. It would have been good for me, because my
pets are all at level 1. I regret it deeply!!!
The Tiki Tour is a short but good way to learn about the island. From
little passages about the island to pictures of dancing Aishas, which
are native to the island. The best part about the tour is the 'free stuff'
at the end. The Magical Cooking pot is a good way to get rare items. The
Island Faerie, Jhuidah, tells you about the Great Pango Pango. Give three
items to him and he will bless you with a great reward. Don't worry, if
Pango Pango doesn't like the items you get them back!!
Overall, I think it was a pretty good place to explore and I would recommend
it for all new Neo users.
