Faerieland--Good or Bad?

WOW! NeoPets has been advancing more then ever lately, and it definitely shows. Tons of pets got a makeover, you could move your shop to different places, and, most importantly, they opened Faerieland.

Yes, Faerieland--that amusement park in the sky. The Faerie Paintbrush, Poogle Racing, and so much more came from it. But the bad thing is: you need a Faerie Totem to get there. To me, that comes as no surprise. The team’s sponsors need more people to sign up. Lately, that’s been at a standstill. NP can be gotten in other ways. And if you’re like me, your parents simply don’t allow you to.

This happened before, with Mystery Island. They experimented with getting people to sign up with their sponsors by offering a “totem” that allowed access to a new and truly cool world. Naturally, it was flooded with Neopians that wanted to see what the mysterious isle was like. That was good for a while. But then word got round that all it had was a Cooking Pot and a Training School. You didn’t really need them. Popularity died down, and very few people bothered to sign up to get the totem.

So they officially decreed that you didn’t need one. The Ice Caves came later on, and some wise people signed up. Others waited to see if you didn’t need one after a while. And waited….and waited….and waited….you get the picture. Totems were popular again!

But now, the grand finale of totems has arrived. New pet pets. Three new games. New books. And the promise that they are working on an Employment Agency there. BOOM! Everyone ran to get the totem for Faerieland! But there are still some that doubt it. To prove just how wrong they are, and how wrong some of the totem-users may be, here’s a list of Faerieland’s pros and cons.

Pros:
Cool stuff
More chance of getting a Faerie Paintbrush (yes, this is true)
Awesome Battledome items
The Employment Agency
Cool Crossword Puzzle

Cons:
Totem required
A lot of the stuff will be bad for modem-users
Expensive Battledome items
You don’t need a Faerie Paintbrush anyway
It will take weeks to get finished, perhaps even months
