The survivors slept in late that night. It was the first
night of good sleep they had in 12 days. They had reached the final stretch.
Only 2 more days until the game ended. Breadmaster was the first up. He
thought he had to win immunity today. Thyassa was the next up. He wanted
more than anything to win immunity. Sarkis was the last to wake up. He
also thrived on the immunity challenge.
“Good morning survivors. Today we will have the immunity
challenge early so the winner can think over the vote he will cast. Today’s
immunity is not won by a challenge. It is pure luck. I will put each of
your names into a hat and pick one out. The name I pick out is the pet
that will be immune to being voted off today and will be able to decide
who will be the final two. The names are in the hat and I will pick one
out. Congratulations Sarkis, I picked out your name. You will make it
to the final two and you will be able to decide who leaves today,” the
Light Faerie said.
“Wow, that is a huge responsibility,” Sarkis said, trying
to think of who he should vote off that night.
“Think it over Sarkis. You have the whole day. We would
like to pull you aside for questioning for a minute Sarkis. Thyassa and
Breadmaster, will you guys head downstairs?” the Light Faerie asked. Thyassa
and Breadmaster left the room and the questions began.
“What is your plan for your vote at this moment?” the
Light Faerie asked.
“I want to vote off Breadmaster because I don’t think
he should get a shot at the money for his alliance days. At this moment,
which could possibly change, I am getting rid of Thyassa. He is way too
nice and a threat to my winning. I think Thyassa is a great pet but he
has definitely outstayed his time. I have a feeling he will try something
funny today but I’m not sure. I know both pets will try to persuade me
to vote for the other. My vote will probably change many times throughout
the day,” Sarkis said walking away. That day, the survivors got to take
a cruise around the Mysterious Isle and stop at landmarks.
“Here Sarkis, let me get you a drink,” Breadmaster said
sucking up.
Thyassa refused to suck up. If he was going down tonight,
he was going down with pride. The rest of the day, Breadmaster was Sarkis’s
slave. He waited on him hand and foot. Sarkis didn’t mind. He had no worries
at all at this time. He was happy as a clam. Tonight, he held the power
of who is staying and who would be going.
Breadmaster was getting Sarkis a pillow when a tragedy
took place. A huge monsoon blew into the bay and the tour boat had to
anchor and stop sailing. The storm blew closer and the captain had jumped
overboard in a life vest at this point. The survivors grabbed a life raft
and paddled away. The wind and rain tossed them around and they fell out
many times. Then, everything went dark for them.
Sarkis was the first to get up from his blackout. They
were all still in the life raft but their was no land in sight, just water.
Sarkis shook the other survivors awake to tell them about the problem.
“We really are stranded now,” Thyassa said.
“I hope we get back in time to vote,” Sarkis said.
“Someone should come looking for us soon,” Breadmaster
cried.
They were in a mess. They had no food or shelter.
They desperately needed a miracle.
The stormy clouds above started to let out more rain.
“Oh no. If this boat fills up, we could sink!” Thyassa
said.
The rain continued to fall for hours. The life raft was
half full and the survivors lost more esteem.
“What’s that?” Sarkis said pointing to a small dot in
the sky that kept getting bigger.
“It’s a plane!” Thyassa yelled.
The pets jumped up and down and the plane approached
them. The pilot of the plane was none other than the Light Faerie.
“We’ve been scanning the area and looking for you forever,”
the Light Faerie said.
“I’m just glad you found us. We were worried for a while,”
Breadmaster said.
“I just want to get back, vote, and get the whole thing
over with,” Sarkis said.
“I’m so weak,” Thyassa moaned.
When they plane arrived at the Light Faeries castle,
the pets jumped out and ran inside for cover. They were all feeling pretty
down and low about the cruise.
“Breadmaster, how do you feel about tonight’s vote?”
the Light Faerie asked.
“It could go either way. I think it pretty much comes
down to a coin toss,” Breadmaster replied.
“How do you feel about being so vulnerable to the vote
tonight?” the Light Faerie questioned Thyassa.
“I feel awful. All those days of being on the island
could come down to this one vote. I could have said or done things differently
but if I get taken down tonight, I will be in the jury and I could turn
the game around for someone. I know exactly who was in the secret alliance
but I’m not going to say. I just know who I think out of the three of
us, who should make it to the final two,” Thyassa said.
“How do you feel holding all the power?” the Light Faerie
asked Sarkis.
“I feel wonderful. I finally cannot be voted out and
I can decide who my competition for the billion Neopoints will be. I truly
believe that my vote tonight is the right one and that the person I think
should win the money the least will be going home. I just want to say
to both my tribe mates that it has been a great game and both of you have
kept me on my toes. You both deserve to make it to the final two but one
of you will have to go and I hope you don’t hold it against me. I’m just
playing the game the way it should be played. To both of you, good game
and to one of you, good-bye,” Sarkis ended.
“Okay Sarkis, go cast your vote for who should be leaving
tonight,” the Light Faerie said. Breadmaster and Thyassa waited for what
seemed like hours to them for Sarkis to finish voting.
“Okay, first of all, you know I support all three of
you completely and that I want all of you to win but the vote I hold in
my hands gets rid of one of the most caring pets I know. This pet I have
grown really attached to and I hope he returns for the final council.
I’m sorry but the vote reads BREADMASTER. Please step on the warp pad,”
the Light Faerie said. Breadmaster, with a look of awe on his face, stepped
on the warp pad and left the island.
“Congratulations to the both of you. One of you will
become a billionaire in the next 24 hours. Sarkis, you made a strategic
move and I hope it works out for you. Thyassa, your attitude has been
wonderful throughout this and I hope that earns you some votes. If I had
to vote for which one of you should win the money, I couldn’t do it. I
have never before seen such fine individuals then you two. Rethink what
you said or did the whole time you were on the island because tomorrow
you will have the chance to have a plea to the tribe of why you should
win. Tomorrow is when your voting history and exchanged words will come
back to haunt you. Good night survivors and good luck,” the Light Faerie
said flying away. Sarkis looked down at the ground thinking of what he
had just done. He was proud of the decision he made and was ready to finish
the game. Thyassa gazed before himself. He was surprised that he was in
the final two. Tomorrow would be a day neither of them would EVER forget.
Day 14
Thyassa and Sarkis woke up with nervousness in their
eyes.
“I just want to thank you for not getting rid of me last
night,” Thyassa said.
“Thyassa, I don’t know how you found out but please do
not tell the jury I was in a secret alliance with DJ Roo,” Sarkis pleaded.
“I won’t, but DJ Roo might,” Thyassa said.
“That’s what I’m afraid of,” Sarkis said.
“You were just making a strategical move. You shouldn’t
feel too bad because DJ Roo had to go that night. He didn’t move a finger
to help the tribe,” Thyassa brought up. Sarkis nodded and the two pets
headed down to the beach.
“Welcome survivors. Today, there will be no immunity
challenge. You will not have to worry about who you should vote. The game
is slowly coming to an end and you don’t have to worry about a thing,
it is out of your hands. Luckily, Safari Techo decided not to show up
so an odd number of 13 tribal council members will decide who wins and
who gets the boot. Both of you have done an outstanding job in eliminating
the other fourteen. What were your strategies?” the Light Faerie asked.
“I usually listened in on who everyone was voting out
and I went with the majority,” Sarkis said.
“I voted whoever seemed out of place or lazy. I voted
who I thought should go home,” Thyassa said.
“Were any votes hard to make?” the Light Faerie asked.
“I thought when I had to decide between Breadmaster and
Thyassa was the hardest vote I ever had,” Sarkis said.
“The hardest vote for me was when Blooplum was voted
out. I knew I had a chance to get Blooplum off and that was something
I had to do. I liked Blooplum a lot but I knew that she was so well liked
that nobody could ever stand a chance of winning against her,” Thyassa
said.
“Well, you both seemed to have had the game planned out
before you got to the island. Good job to the both of you and I will see
you at tribal council tonight,” the Light Faerie said.
Thyassa and Sarkis took one last look at camp. So many
memories were in the air. So may emotions. This game was never fair to
any of its players. Only one would become the soul survivor and the others
would be memories of the past. There was a possibility for a brief stage
of being famous for each of them. One thing that all the pets could say
is that it was very difficult and not every pet could do it. It was really
hard both physically and mentally. The night of tribal council finally
came. Sarkis and Thyassa walked into the Light Faeries castle to be greeted
by DJ Roo, Breadmaster, Brian, Chiala, Ursula, Nigel, Blooplum, Benjamin,
Kevin, Alien Aisha, Buckley, Chesterpot, and Sunshine. Everyone except
Safari Techo was back together again. Everything seemed to be going smoothly
until the Light Faerie entered the room. They knew that the ultimate survivor
would win today but another would be denied the billion Neopoints
“Okay survivors and fellow survivors, it is now time
to start the process of finding the soul survivor. Both of the remaining
survivors will get to make a plea of why you should vote for them to win.
Next, everyone in the council will stand up one by one and state who they
want to win and why. Whoever gets the most votes wins. Okay Sarkis, we’ll
start off with you,” the Light Faerie said.
“I have been out here for fourteen long days. I have
been through thick and thin with each and every one of you. We’ve had
good times and bad times. I know this game is not fair. It has never been
fair. Please, if you have to make a decision this hard, make the right
one. I really do want you to vote for me but I will not hold it against
you if you don’t,” Sarkis finished.
“Okay Thyassa, it’s your turn,” the Light Faerie said.
“I think it takes a lot of heart and soul to get in this
spot. I really hope you vote for me because this could change my life.
No matter what happens in the end, I am looking forward to being life
long friends with all of you,” Thyassa said.
“Okay, those were the final words. Now starting with
DJ Roo, stand up and state your vote and a reason for it,” the Light Faerie
said.
“My vote goes to Thyassa. He is very strong willed and
deserves to win. Sarkis and I had a falling out which I will not mention,”
DJ Roo said.
“My vote is for Sarkis. He and I were good friends on
the island and I think he had some very good points in his final words,”
Sunshine.
“My vote goes to Thyassa because Sarkis went behind my
back and voted me off,” Breadmaster said.
“I don’t really know either of the two contestants but
I will vote for Sarkis to make the votes even,” Brian said.
“I love both of you very much but my vote is going to
be for Sarkis. I think Thyassa is a great person but I think Sarkis needs
this more,” Chiala said.
“My vote is for Thyassa. Sarkis plotted against myself
and my alliance and cost us the game,” Ursula said.
“My vote is for Sarkis. No offense to Thyassa it’s just
that I knew Sarkis better,” Nigel said.
“I want Thyassa to win all the way because he is so kind
and caring,” Blooplum said.
“I don’t like the way this game came out but my vote
will go to Sarkis,” Benjamin said.
“I think Thyassa should win because he tried to keep
the tribe in good order since the beginning,” Kevin said.
“I vote Thyassa because of the same reason Ursula did,”
Chesterpot said.
“I vote for Sarkis because we had some great times together,”
Alien Aisha said.
“Okay this is turning out to be a really cutthroat game.
You are both tied with 6 votes each. Only Buckley’s vote remains. Whoever
Buckley votes for, wins the billion. I just would like to congratulate
all of you for being here and a special surprise is that King
Roo of Neopia gave you all special names to honour you. DJ Roo,
your code name on the island is water. Sarkis, yours is Earth. Safari
Techo who is not here was nickname air. Breadmaster is space, Brian is
sand, Chiala is wildlife, Ursula is sky, Nigel is trees, Blooplum is clouds,
Benjamin is wind, Kevin is calmness, Alien Aisha is light, Buckley is
power, Chesterpot is darkness, and Sunshine is danger. This is a high
honour to be named by King Roo. Okay Buckley, It’s time to vote,” the Light
Faerie said.
“This is not an easy vote for me but I have decided.
Both of you are worthy of the billion but only one will get it. I don’t
want either of you to get mad at me for this decision but I believe, that
because of the braveness and faith of this pet that... Thyassa should
become the next billionaire,” Buckley said.
Sarkis shook Thyassa’s hand and went to sit with the
rest of the tribal council. Thyassa could hardly breathe.
“How do you feel about his Thyassa?” the Light Faerie
asked.
“I feel great and nervous all at the same time,” Thyassa
said.
“Well, the game is finally over. No more hard feelings.
Thyassa, you did a great job and you will go back to Neopia with thousands
of fans cheering you on. If you would all step on the warp pad I will
follow you. This has been a good game and now we need to put it behind
us,” the Light Faerie said. One by one, the pets stepped on the warp pad
until only Thyassa was left. He looked behind to see the ocean and the
island. It was time to go he thought to himself. Thyassa stepped on the
warp pad. It certainly was time to go.
