The Dreaded Wooden Spoon Award

Hi, I'm Lighting27_2000 a blue Kougra. As you may already know there's a watch over what kind of pets are born. The loser is given the dreaded WOODEN SPOON AWARD! It's hard to explain but here it goes....

I know that the Lenny is not very popular nowadays with the Poogles, and Shoyrus and Blumaroos and such, but I was on Mystery Island when I heard sobbing by the Golden Statue of Pop Tart, the winner of Sacrificers.

Anyway, I turned around and saw a Lenny and a Moehog crying with a piece of paper in the Lenny's hand. "What's wrong?" I asked, feeling very sorry because I had a feeling it had to do with its Wooden Spoon Award.

"Shut up and scram!" cried the Lenny, "You're number six.... while I have... have... have... THE WOODEN SPOON AWARD!!!" he screamed in agony.

I looked at the paper. Turns out the poor Lenny was less popular than the Moehog. I felt sorry for him, but he told me just go. I was doing some research in the NeoPets record book and found out Lennys and Chias were very popular in the beginning. Unfortunately the Poogles and Shoyrus and those wonderful, cute, cuddly pets came along.

Now you're also saying, "What's so special about those UGLY Lennys." Remember who gave you those excellent trivia questions? The Lennys! And those brain teasing Conundrums? The Lennys! And where do you go for the lime snowball puffs for the Snow Faerie? The Snow food shop run by a Lenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now they are very smart and magical so they are a great pet, even though they aren't too pretty. Please, before you abandon your poor Lenny think, "Is it worth it?"

Now that you know don't worry about your pet's popularity, be a good owner. Give it an omelette, or paint it. Spoil it rotten, but NEVER EVER abandon your pet because it's not popular or it has the Wooden Spoon Award!! That's mean and wrong! My old owner abandoned me because of popularity and Megz400 could have simply made a new pet! But, she had a heart unlike some people who go in that pound and laugh at us!!!!!!

Anyway, this article is not just about the Wooden Spoon Award but how to treat your pets! Have a heart, go to the pound and adopt a pet. Or make a lovely Lenny. Have fun in Neopia and give your Lenny some love.
