Two very different Poogles were walking down to the bus
stop together. Pugsley the husky, bossy Poogle didn't take much notice
of the others, except taking their lunch money. Pugs the shy Poogle was
so scared to even step foot on the big yellow bus. In spite of her fear
she went on it anyway. One step at a time. She knew nothing about anyone.
So she sat next to Pugsley. He gave her a little punch on the shoulder
and told her to bring money to him every afternoon at 1:15. She was too
scared to say anything so she nodded.
On her first day of school she met three friends: Gypsy,
Lilly, and Murry. When she got back on the bus she sat down with Pugsley
again.
He gave her a look and said, "Don't Forget Geek" She
got scared at that moment and stood up and yelled in a little voice, "I'm
not a geek, I'm a Poogle and I'm not giving you my money!!!"
As Pugs sat back down she realised that she stood up
to everyone. Pugsley barked an order to her, "Sit down and be quiet!"
She asked the bus driver to drop her off now and he
did. It wasn't her stop but that was the least of her worries.

When she got home her owner, Brittany, asked her about
her day. She just started crying and ran to her room. So Brittany climbed
up the stairs to Pugs' room and asked her why she was crying.
She replied, "A bully asked me for my money and I agreed
to it then I finally stood up to him and told him no and he got really
mad and now... now--"
"Now what, Dear?" Brittany asked.
"Now... now I feel horrible," Brittany said, "Well
that isn't the real way to solve a problem, what should you have done?"
Pugs replied, "I should have said No but not the way
I did. I could have told him that I didn't want to give away my money
because it was for lunch."
"Yes, so tomorrow please do that," said Brittany. Pugs
nodded her head and stared on her homework.
The next day Pugs got on the bus with no fear at all.
She sat next to Pugsley. Before she could say anything he said, "I bet
you can't beat me at a fight!"
She said, "No, I probably can't beat you at a fight
or save my lunch money, but I can kindly ask you to stop. Please don't
pick on me. I need this lunch money for school, okay?"
Pugsley was speechless that someone didn't back down
from him so he had to use his head and hands to express his answer. It
was clear he said yes.
Pugs was so happy that day. She did the right thing.
When she went home to her mom she gave her an ice cream treat for doing
the right thing.
