Hidden Villains In the Hidden Tower

Did you ever wonder why items in the Hidden Tower were so few and high priced? Well, the whole thing started when two Aishas got bored...

"What do you wanna do?" KiiroiTomodachi (or K.T.) asked her boyfriend. She rolled onto her back, her white coat of fur blending perfectly with the clouds of Faerieland.

"I dunno," replied the rainbow Aisha sitting next to her. He was _lil_xtc_boi (or just xtc for short) K.T.'s new (and favorite) boyfriend. "What do you want to do?"

K.T. sighed. Their conversation hadn't changed at all since earlier that morning. The day before, they had done just about everything there was to do in Faerieland: they played with all the cute Faerie PetPets, spun the Wheel of Excitement, watched the Poogle Races five times, and visited the Healing Springs so many times that the Water Faerie banned them from returning until the next day. K.T. scanned Faerieland, seeing if there was a place they could visit. The Employment Agency? Nah, too boring...they could always try to go back to the Wheel of Excitement, but K.T. had the feeling that the Light Faeries there would probably throw them out. She turned to xtc to suggest going to another part of the Neopian World when she noticed that he was staring at the sky, a slow grin creeping across his face. She glanced in the direction he was looking at and she began to smile wickedly as well. For, in plain sight, was the Hidden Tower.

Normally, K.T. would keep her distance from the Tower, for her owner had warned her about the Queen Faerie's bad temper. Only those who planned on spending big NP ever went in, but K.T. was so bored, and she had never been in the Hidden Tower before...

Because it was getting dark, the two Aishas knew the Queen Faerie would take her coffee break soon (she never closed her shop, for fear that she would upset her customers who lived in all time zones). With all the prowess that only Aishas posses, xtc and K.T. swiftly made their way across Faerieland, stopping to hide in the ever-growing shadows. Finally the had made their way to the door.

Up close in this darkness, the Tower looked dark and sinister. K.T. Was having second thoughts, but before she could say anything, xtc grabbed her paw and slid through the unlocked door.

The two NeoPets crept quietly down the maze of hallways, ducking under the cover of the fluffy cloud floor whenever they heard even the slightest noise. They had almost made it to the top of the Tower when they felt the familiar aura of magic that most Neopian Faeries tend to have. They quickly covered themselves up with clouds as the Queen Faerie rounded the corner. The Queen quickly passed by two Aisha-shaped clouds, not noticing them in her rush to have a relaxing coffee break in the Catacombs. The pair giggled loudly as the dusted the clouds from themselves. They had the whole place to themselves, and they could do anything they wanted with the Queen Faerie out of the Tower and the outer doors securely locked.

K.T. and xtc hurried around the next corner, where they were presented with a choice of two doors to enter. The first door read: "Hidden Tower Gift Shop", and the second door had a sign that said, "Store Room: Employees Only". K.T. And xtc looked at each other and grinned. It wasn't every day you were able to see the Queen Faerie's private store room.

Not surprisingly, the door was locked, but it was a very old like and quick work for an Aisha with a talented tail. They slowly opened the door and gasped at the sight before them. Hundreds of items, toys, food, attack and defense weapons were piled before them. K.T. And xtc dove right into the abundant stock of items.

A glitter from a nearby box caught her eye, and she opened up the dusty cardboard to reveal a shiny new Crystal Boomerang.

"Wow," K.T. breathed at the sight of the sparkling object. "It's so pretty..." But xtc was not wasting time staring at all the amazing items in the room. He had set up a row of Stone Hourglasses and was using them for target practice by throwing Crystal Boomerangs at them. Since, of course, Crystal Boomerangs are very delicate, each one would smash to pieces on one of the Stone Hourglasses. He had pulled an entire box of them next to him so he could get a new one when he needed too.

Xtc's carefree attitude was beginning to rub off on K.T. She grabbed and Enchanted Kiko Toy and squeezed. Unlike normal Kiko toys, this one played a soft lullaby. She was still hugging the adorable doll when xtc came running up to her.

"Heh heh, look what I found!" xtc proudly displayed two green apples.

"So?" K.T. Asked "We didn't come here to steal the Queen Faerie's lunch, you know."

Xtc shook his head. "These are Everlasting Apples, they never go away. Have a bite."

K.T. sank her teeth into the most delicious fruit she had ever tasted. "Wow, this tastes really good!"

Xtc quickly kissed her, then smiled. "Yeah, but they aren't as good as you!"

K.T. giggled. "I bet I could make one of this disappear." K.T. promptly threw the apple out one of the windows, but was startled when she heard an angry shout. Peering from the window, she saw that the apple had hit the Queen Faerie right on the head as she was coming back from her break. As the Queen stormed into the base of the Tower, K.T. turned around and noticed how many things they had broken of destroyed.

"Xtc," whispered K.T., who was, if possible, a shade whited than she had been before. "We gotta get out of here! The Queen Faerie was on the way up!"

K.T. remembered all the stories she had heard about the Queen Faerie's temper and she shivered with fright. If she would turn a Kyrii into a Meekins just for bumping into her, who know what she would do to a pair of sneaky NeoPets who had just broken every single item in her private store room. She ran for the door, but xtc stopped her.

"There is only one staircase that leads up to this floor," he explained urgently. "If we went out this way, she would catch us for sure!"

"What will we do?" asked K.T., panic rising within her. Xtc grabbed her paw and without a backwards glance ran towards the window.

"Jump!"

Lucky for the two Aishas they were in Faerieland, for the soft clouds cushioned their fall from the top of the Hidden Tower. The two Aishas scurried off, leaving the Queen Faerie to scream over the room full of broken objects.

The pair were never seen near the Hidden Tower again.

So you see, because the two Aishas destroyed almost all of the Queen Faerie's merchandise, she was forced to up the prices, much to the displeasure of her customers. To this day, the Queen Faerie never, ever takes a coffee break.

Author's Note: This is a true story. The two Aishas in this story, KiiroiTomodachi and _lil_xtc_boi_, are now happily married. They both live in the Kijustu Kumo Shrine. Though the Shrine is located on the outskirts of Faerieland, they never venture to the center of Faerie City, for fear that the Queen Faerie will find them. If you ever see her, please don't tell her this story. ^-^
