The Middle of the Beginning

The life outside isn't so bad as I fantasized
I always knew I could survive myself
So owner no need to look for me so crazed
It's time that I should be independent

I've found a place I think I could consider home
It won't be the same but this is me
My friends surrounding me I'm not alone
Stop worrying because I'll be all right

For many nights now I dreamt of you
But I feel that this is just my destiny
An independent start clean and pure
But the memories are still there

Learn to accept the way I do so for us
That this is the way things have to be
We can do this without any fuss
Fate or light this where I always should have been

The seven friends traveled together looking and feeling brave, but there are always times when one must rest and times when some wouldn't accept it at all. It was almost midnight and everyone were tired and hungry. They decided to stop at a river bank to sleep through the night. They ate and chatted happily, most were enjoying it.

"OK, we'll take turns to take watch while others sleep, how about it?" announced Chippy2000.

"Yamakarasu can watch alone because she's strong, and we can watch two by two," added Gyka.

Yamakarasu glared at Gyka, but found that the others agreed too as there were seven of them, so she finally gave in. As everyone drifted off to sleep, Gyka and Chippy2000 stood guard. Each listening for unusual sounds and movements, they were getting tired, when suddenly, there came a squeak. Gyka jumped and whispered, "Did you hear that?"

Chippy2000 shuddered and whispered back frowning, "Yeah, sounding from that direction." He pointed to a large tall and uneven grass land in the South.

Gyka hopped on to a tree, as Usuls are terribly good with trees, and looks down closely with his glowing eyes. Then the squeak came again and Gyka motioned Chippy2000 closer. Chippy2000 climbed onto the tree too and Gyka pointed towards a rocket fast of rustle through the grass. The two NeoPets reached for their weapons fast as whatever it was came closer and closer. Gyka lifted a Grand Lightning Beam to illuminate the darkness, and it was too late when Chippy2000 said, "No!" as the Grand Lightning Beam flashed and shot across the grass land making a clear trail. It was only a Psimouse and it squeaked before it ran away again. Chippy2000 wiped away sweat before saying, "Whew! And I thought we were done for it!"

"Me too!" exclaimed Gyka catching his breath.

"Now next time, don't use the Grand Lightning Beam again," said Chippy2000 climbing down the tree while Gyka hopped down, "because it attracts a lot of attention."

"Is that a bad thing?" asked Gyka.

Chippy2000 gave Gyka a look and then they laughed quietly. Their watching time was up and so they woke Nsynca and SkarIX up. These two didn't encounter anything, but that was probably a bit of an understatement because they woke up finding Pozialle and Exlund yelling at them for dozing off during their watch. Pozialle and Exlund watched as the night passed safely and so did Yamakarasu.

It was already morning again and the yawning NeoPets were all groaning and moaning about waking up early, but they had to keep going to find a good place to live. As they passed a few towns on the way, they also bought some food and even sold some items too for Neopoints. It was probably lucky that they also had a Pink Job Coupon with them which got them almost 100,000 Neopoints at the employment center. Their luck didn't last very long though as they encountered with a large group of Chia Bombers, but they were an easy group to defeat for their relatively low hit points comparing to the gang of friends.

After a messy battle, the seven friends went straight to a public bath and washed themselves clean. When they were finally clean again with shiny furs, they were ready to rumble again. They arrived at a clearing of green hills and large trees with friendly wild NeoPets, and it seemed like the perfect place to live in. Gyka grinned at the possibilities and hopped around looking for a tree to build his treehouse. Pozialle followed him and they decided to share a house for it may be safer to be with someone.

They started collecting materials and wood for the treehouse and started building. It was a long day's hard work and when they were finally finished with the basic plan, they slept through the night safely. The next day, they added more things to make the house fancy and it was getting to be a very comfortable home to live in. They all built their home close to one another so they could work together, be together, and be safe. Another reason that it was good was because they would always have someone friendly and known nearby. Food was easy to get because the plants in the space was rich and selling the food made quite a fortune too. The first week was something all seven friends took granted for, the richness and friendliness of the land. Little did they know that it would be the only week.
