Neopian Aristocracy

I have a great vision that one day, all worthy Neopian citizens will one day become rich and respected. Please share in this delusion.

No, really.

I've been on NeoPets since what was a boring afternoon on June 17th of 2000 (I have switched accounts since then). My eyes were filled with nothing but delight as I clicked away and created my first pet, alykii. She was a lovely Chia (now an Acara), and she will always be my baby. Now, about 10 months later, I also have my wonderful Akiiah, Dratynii, and Kiikah.

I know, I am not filthy rich. Of course, I nowhere near poor. My position lies comfortably in between, nearer to the filthy rich point. 530,000 NP in my bank account last I checked, size 18 shop, size 19 NeoDeck, and wonderful size 20 NeoHome. 15 High scores, a considerably high rank in the Tyrannian Army, and a few medals and trophies. I also have a nice gallery. Go ahead. Drool.

Ah, Neopian Aristocracy. It's a beautiful thing. And ooh, you know you want it. I'm quite willing to share my secrets...

Y'know those free towels they give away at the beach? Steal them. Steal 'em all. Then resell. Repeat as necessary.

Well, I admit. It takes a lil more than that.

You need the free beach balls. Now those are cool!

Getting serious now, I'll tell you several simple steps, that'll cost you nothing but time. So here is a guide to becoming Neopian Aristocrat, written by me, Chel. You can thank me later. With Neopoints, thankyouverymuch.

1) Set your goals
You can't aim your arrow without a target, you know. So make yourself some goals. Think: What do I really want, and think I can aim for? Don't say "I want a size 555 shop and Pets stronger than the Battle Faerie on steroids". Because if you do, I shall personally come over and kick you. Fool. No really, come up with goals that seem reasonable. I would suggest the following:
* Size 15-20 Shop/NeoDeck/NeoHome
* 100,000 NP+
* Considerably strong NeoPets, all with PetPets and their own Battledome weapons
These goals may be high, but what use is a goal if you do not need to strive to reach them?

2) Fix your expenses
Don't fire that arrow when your bowstring is tangled. So you know where you wanna be. But where are you now? Find out what position you're in, and work out a nice budget. Nobody's beginning expenses are perfect. For a while, you'll need to spend NP on only what you really need. Save the rest.

3) Earn!
Watch the arrow fly! How on earth do you expect to get rich, if you earn nothing? No, don't answer that. In my honest (and wonderful) opinion, Neopian Games are the best way to earn NP. You may earn NP three times a day from each game, so only hit "Send Score" when you have a good score. Try these games:

Kiko Match - Very simple Match game. Only hit Send Score if you got at least 200 points. You should get at least 600 NP from this game, a day.

Meerca Chase - Happy and fun game! One of my most favorite games, its like that old Snake game, but with a Neopian twist. Try to get at least 600 NP from this game each day.

Treasure Hunt - This is actually in the Neopian Bazaar, but y'know. If you need help with the clues, there are lots of people on the Chat Boards that can help. I've also found many sites with clue answers/help. But when you complete the hunt, you'll receive a piece of Space Map, with you can sell for almost 2000 NP.

Poogle Solitaire - Solitaire + NeoPets x Poogles = a wonderful way to get Neopoints! You can only play once a day for NP, but its fun, and the Poogles are so cuuute.

Chute - Remake of a classic. If you like Tetris, you'll love Chute (: Remember; only hit Send Score when you've got a score you're satisfied with.

Destruct-O-Match - Ooh, addicting. Work your brain power, and you'll get da big NP in no time ^.^

Kacheek Seek - Find your pet, earn NP! Easy as Meerca Pie.

And there's lots of other games. With those games, and more, you'll be getting about/over 4000 NP...a day. Ooh, booya. Told you.

4) Neopian Netiquette!
Your arrow hit! Reload, to hit again. You've gotta hit that target labeled "Respect". So you've got your NP. Wait, you need respect. This'll be a bit harder to earn. Work yo magikal people skillz, and get people to like you.

A - Donate.
No, not to the Money Tree. The only people who'll get that stuff is the people with fast Internet connections, so they really don't deserve it. When you donate, donate to some medium-sized guilds with good intentions. And in my opinion, the best way to donate to people is to buy from their shops. Items you don't need. You can donate those items to random NeoFriends, or give them away to people who buy from your shop. You can even sell that stuff.

B - Interact!
Don't get all overprotective of yourself, and sit in your NeoHome all day. Post on the NeoPet message boards (make sure to use nice-sounding posts), and help out Newbies or other users. And don't be afraid to expand your NeoFriends list. C'mon now, the bigger the better.

C - Remember your manners.
Never, ever, threaten to yell at other Neopian citizens. Treat everyone with respect, and kindness, even if they're mean to you. Its all about the karma, baby.

5) Don't forget your pet!
Hello? he-llo?? Says your little Shoyru. Don't ever forget that dear, sweet, wonderful NeoPet(s) of yours. Isn't that the whole reason you joined NeoPets? No, the world of Neopia does not revolve around your bank account. It revolves around your NeoPets. ...AND your bank account.

No, really, your NeoPets should be what you put most of your attention to. And remember to have fun. Yea, yea, it sounds cheesy. But it's the reason you join NeoPets, silly goose. Even if this article leads you to becoming the evicts of evilish evils, and poor, remember that you should just have fun with your pets, and Neofriends.

So sum it all up, follow these steps, slightly adjusting anything you'd like. Then soon, you will be referred to as a Neopian Aristocrat!

Or at least you'll be rich. "ALL YOUR NEOPOINT ARE BELONG TO ME!!!"
