Three Cheers to Vega

As the cold breeze blew in our faces, we shivered. It had been several days since we ate, slept, or drank. We were homeless. My owner had lost her job and we were chucked out of our lovely jelly NeoHome. We probably would have eaten it in the end though. My owner had been a Wocky warden and a Wocky escaped, so she lost her job. She had adopted me when I was a day old in the pound because my other owner (who I do not know) had put me on courses. She adopted me because of my strength. She did not love me.

I’m Vega. Vega_28 to be exact. I am a male red Shoyru and before my owner had gone bankrupt she had intended to paint me. To show off and put in the beauty contest. Ha! My owner said to us.

“I got a new job! Come and see!”

I knew she was lying but the little ones jumped up and down and squealed excitedly. The fun ended when we got to the pound. My owner started crying. So did we. She paid the mean Techo all she had. 380 NP for all of us.

My youngest sibling cried as the kind Uni put us in a cage. She looked sad. She told us a secret.

“Dr_Death isn’t really mean. He just acts mean so people will not abandon their pets.” She smiled. I knew she knew we would be adopted soon. And we would. The others were cuter, there was an Acara, a Poogle which got adopted instantly with a Cybunny, and there was me. A Shoyru I was dying and all my hp was gone. I cried.

Then a woman came along. She had a Kacheek, a Bruce and a Meerca with her. She saw me and paid Dr_Death 780 Neopoints for me! It was only until she got home she realised I had D'achoo! and she bought me Neopkins which cost her 8000 NP! Then she realised I was level 4 and had 3 abilities! She loved me even more. The lovely woman had a name, miss_trouble_maker. I began to love my new life, miss_trouble_maker even got me flying lessons so I could learn to use my little wings.

Little did I know I would need to use those wings soon. I was asked to take Cutie’s, my sisters, pet Angelpuss into the market bazaar and buy some pet pet food. While I was buying some of the food, Mewee the Angelpuss wandered off. She was stolen by some thieves! I came out of the shop just in time to see her in the back of a van.

I had not used my wings much before but it was time. I took off after the van. It was sensational. I was determined to get Mewee back, if it was the last thing I would do. I grabbed hold off the handles at the back of the van and prized them open. Mewee jumped onto my back squealing, just loud enough to catch the attention of the thieves. Luckily, we got home safely.

I told the story to my whole family, the police guild, and The NeoPets Team about the chase. They admired my bravery. They tracked the robbers and put them in Neo-Prison. As a reward miss_trouble_maker took me to the food shop, where we bought a feast, she also took me to the toy shop and bought me my own set of Shoyru plushies. I was in heaven. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better she took me to the Neolodge and booked me in for a week in AstroVilla!

I thought I was the luckiest Shoyru on earth when she bought all the extras such as a restaurant, room service, free parking etc. Wow, family sure is important. It is about love, responsibility and happiness. Cutie didn’t half thank me, giving me slobbery kisses (yuck!) and saying I could borrow her white bike any time I wanted because she loved me so much. I was practically fainting; lol.

I went to the Neolodge saying I would miss them so much and would send them a postcard. My owner gave me 500 NP to spend on souvenirs. In said a last good-bye and went on enjoying myself in the Neolodge’s best accommodation with all the extras.

I came back in a week all smiles and happiness. I gave the gifts I had bought to my siblings and my mom. I went into my bedroom to unpack and held the little souvenir I had bought. I little model Angelpuss

Authors Note: All these characters are real, I am not sure if that is what happened to Vega, but it is a good story. Part of it is true too. Scammers tried to take the Angelpuss from Cutie and I had to get out of the shop I was haggling in and change my password quick.

Family is about love and responsibility. Even though your NeoPets are not real, it does not mean you should abuse them. I battle only 2 times at the most each week. It decreases your pets happiness usually if you battle too long.
