Semi-Healthy Ways to Deal With Edna by chunky12316
--------
Every day across Neopia, pets and owners set out on the long journey through the spooky paths of the Haunted Woods. They make their way past the booming Brain Tree, hungry Esophogar, and chilling screams of the Game Graveyard, all en route to their final destination, Edna's Tower. Many users flock to the tower on a daily basis in hopes of completing a quest to find the elusive Edna - Cackle avatar that slips past many eager hands. The lone witch sends Neopians and their pets trudging across the different worlds of Neopia to find items that she needs to complete her latest spell. Once completed, she thanks you with a small neopoint reward and some gross food items... some so revolting that not even the hungriest of all neopets would take a bite! However, if you happen to be a lucky one, Edna might reward you with that coveted "Something Has Happened" event, so you can show off a shiny new avatar (with her face on it, of course) to all of your friends and awaiting hopefuls crowded outside the tower waiting for their chance. Unfortunately, the avatar seems to be few and far between, with more unsuccessful stories than happy endings. So, if you are still one of the many waiting to get your grips on the avatar and about to your wits end with Edna, continue reading for some advice on some peaceful thoughts to deal with Edna when you are down to your last straw of patience. Unleash the Meepits
Everyone knows that Meepits have a touch of evil locked deep within their tiny bodies, maybe even more than Edna herself has in her whole tower! Imagine the sweet satisfaction that would come from unleashing a Meepit army and directing them towards Edna's Tower, only to drag her far, far away, in turn allowing you the time to raid every inch of the dreaded tower in hopes of uncovering your very own avatar! It would sure be a lot easier than running back and forth gathering quest items! Perhaps if you waited outside her tower for a while you would be able to catch grip of some of those Ghost Meepits that hop on past. If only they had an attention span that lasted long enough to be trained.. Go Invisible
I know at one point everyone has just wanted to paint themselves invisible for a day. And with the powers of the Invisible Paint Brush, we may as well take advantage of it! If you are tired of running to and fro on Neopia, there is no doubt that your poor neopet is, too! To go invisible, you may have to run off to the Trading Post and then back to the Haunted Woods... but think of all the things you could move around to mess with Edna's Tower! It is like Edna is haunted by ghosts, but unlike the results of the Ghost Paint Brush... she will not be able to see you! Perhaps she would fall into such a confused state of mind that she would just hand out the avatar to anyone who stopped by! Taste of her own Medicine
As mentioned before, the reward items that Edna hands out upon completion surely were not created in a fancy kitchen! Some of the treats MAY be acceptable to feed to your pets, like the Toffee Classic and Vanilla Ice Cream Lantern, but how could Edna expect you to feed your pet things such as a Tongue Wrap, Tongue With Veggies, Baked Intesteen, or a Bogie Berry... and that is just a tiny sliver of the amount of gross foods she hands out! Imagine, if only for a day you had the power to control what Edna ate, there is no way that she could possibly enjoy those things, right? Surely she would give a second thought as to what rewards she hands out after a day of eating her own "treats." The Ultimate Betrayal
Edna is not the only quest giver in the Haunted Woods! The Haunted Woods is also home to the Esophogar and Brain Tree. While the Esophogar oftentimes hands out less than satisfactory looking rewards, too, he does seem to hold the answers for quite a few of the Brain Tree's questions! And in turn to that, once you have the answers for the Brain Tree, you can turn them in and collect a petpet, a weapon, or maybe even a rare food item. In addition to that, you also have a shot at collecting a shiny new trophy to show off on your user lookup! What better way to make Edna as angry as she makes you than by doing quests for her competitors? Possibly by taking away the majority of Edna's business will make her so desperate that she will beg people to come to her tower and take the avatar off her hand for just doing one simple quest! The Forces of Dr. Sloth
Dr. Sloth really does not like many things around the Neopian world. However, if you are brave enough, you might be able to catch up to him... and hope he dislikes Edna more than he dislikes you! If by chance Sloth is on your side to get revenge on Edna, you will have more resources at your disposal than you could even begin to dream of. Sloth of course is one of the most powerful (and feared) creatures in Neopia! Many years ago, Sloth was even once known to have a huge Grundo army. Since those days, Grundos have found safety in the arms of many owners across Neopia, but there could very well be more that we do not know of! On the off chance that the Grundo army still exists, it would be MUCH better and easier than the Meepit army discussed earlier. Grundos tend to have a lot longer of an attention span than those Meepits, but do they have enough evil in their bodies to assist you in getting back at the witch? Probably not. In recent days, though nobody can truly confirm, Sloth is thought to have a robot army, clones, spaceships, and some powerful ancient artifacts that have not yet seen the light of Neopia! Teaming up with Sloth and all of his knowledge and power could definitely manage quite the take down of Edna! Getting to evil forces pitted against one another might be too much of a challenge on its own, though. Now in reality, the above scenarios are likely to never happen. But on those days when Edna just really gets under your skin, you can hide away in the corner of your mind and dream up these scenarios along side many others in hopes of making Edna just a fraction of as angry she makes you! But remember, it is always rewarding in its own way to think of the simple fact, once you have the treasured Edna - Cackle avatar, you will never again feel obligated to return to the tower to complete another quest!
