Having a Hoot: The Vandagyre Way

      Flying Championships

     Although this is not an official event, it is an annual activity that takes place in their homeland, within the peaks of Terror Mountain. Although the Vandagyre may seem as if they are not aerodynamic, they are extremely competent flyers. Whizzing around the skies is one of their favourite activities (wouldn’t yours be if you could fly too!?), and they love to show off their abilities. This event can now be attended by anyone who wishes to observe, and you are heavily encouraged to join! Although they are still very shy, they are some of the most welcoming pets in all the land and will go above and beyond to ensure that you are looked after in every respect. You will feel as if you are one of the family, cheering alongside the rest for your favourite to win the Championships!

     Shopping

     Vandagyre are extremely picky about what they will wear, as they are very proud creatures. They like to be preened to perfection, and only the best clothes will do! Their thick and luxurious feathers should not be cramped, as it will negatively affect their flying abilities if feathers are damaged. Loose clothing that allows them to fly at any given moment is the best type of clothing, as they are not able to fly in restrictive clothing. Vandagyre are creatures of comfort, and enjoy the comfort of clothing that is designed with them in mind. They are often very fussy about the colours, patterns and everything else. But who can blame them? They all have their own personalities and styles to suit. Tagging along on a shopping adventure may even give you a chance to update your own wardrobe with some more fashionable items, and everyone loves that!

     Tea

     Take it slow and steady while enjoying a relaxing cup of tea in an out of the way nook. A warm cup of tea is just what they need after a long day of darting through freezing winds and sludging through the snow. Their thick feathers are well suited, so no need to worry too much! But a warm cup of tea and quiet corner can revive a Vandagyre like nothing you’ve seen before. Many choose to have a vast collection of tea at home, and every Vandagyrne will be able to passionately argue the superiority of tea over coffee. The ritual of making the tea is just as important as the tea itself, it is extraordinary to watch. Their dedication is second to none, however, sometimes it can be nice for them to take a break and enjoy a cup brewed in the comfort of their favourite tea room.

     Get a Companion

     These neopets are a very calm and caring species, thriving when given the responsibility to care for a friend. They can easily become lonely, as they are used to living with large groups of their own species. By giving them a petpet, they are able to have a companion all the time! Watch your Vandagyre thrive with his or her new best friend, it will be a gift that they will never forget! If you’re not sure where to start, why not try a Pawkeet?      Read a Book

     The Vandagyre are an extremely wise species and enjoy keeping their mind sharp by exploring new books. It might be hard to find a book your genius hasn’t read yet, but you’ll enjoy the journey of browsing the bookshop in search of the best novel. Once you’ve found the perfect book, head to your favourite spot so that you can read it together. There’s nothing more special to a Vandagyre than time spent bonding with their favourite owner (YOU!!). It might be smart to buy more than one book while you’re there, as they are very fast readers and just one book may not keep them entertained for long. Once a Vandagyre starts reading, it can be hard to get them to stop, so make sure you set aside plenty of time!

     Paint a New Colour

     Is your Vandagyre’s colour a little bit dated? Have they been feeling a little gloomy lately? Well, this is the best day to spice up. We know that they're oh so stylish and on this special day a new colour is released. Your Vandagyre will be the talk of the Neopia, especially being one of the first to pioneer a new trend! If the colour that’s released isn’t for you, that’s fine as well. There are currently many colours that Vandagyre can be painted, and you can explore some of these over at the Rainbow Pool. Or if you’ve been super lucky, at the Rainbow Fountain with the assistance of the Naia the Fountain Faerie, who will personally assist you in picking out your new colour.
