The Neopian's Guide to Gardening by ringsinger9795
--------
Spring! Spring is here-- and we all know what that means! It's time to get
out the shovels and spades and plant our neogardens! Now, you can catch a ton
of crummy plants in Maraqua, but our gardens can be a lot better than that!
I, as a journalist and fellow Neopian, researched the cheapest, and most beautiful
plants (mostly flowers), and made this guide for you. Enjoy!
1. Autumn Blush:
The Autumn Blush is a really interesting plant. Every Spring it sprouts red
buds, in the summer yellow buds, in fall orange buds, and in the winter brown
buds. An Autumn Blush is pretty easy to take care of and is common around Neopia
Central, thus making it pretty cheap.
Approximate Cost: 500 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 700 NP
2. Sponderolas:
Sponderolas are beautiful and very fragile. They have a weight of approximately
100lbs! Despite their beautiful easy-to-grow appearance, these beautiful flowers
are difficult to grow because they are native to the deepest part of the jungle
on Mystery Island. But if you get sponderolas to bloom, it will be WELL worth
your while.
Approximate Cost: 76 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 102 NP
3. Snake Rose:
The snake rose is a spooky but interesting plant from the Haunted Woods. It
will keep intruders at bay. When the snake rose blows in the wind, it really
DOES look like a serpent!
Approximate Cost: 324 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 525 NP
4. Colour Lillies:
These lovely flowers are usually a reddish-orange color with some yellow. When
the wind picks up in your garden, these colorful Colour Lillies will do a little
trick. The center of the flower will spin, spin, spin like a pinwheel. These
will add a lot of excitement in your garden with its soft whistling song!
Approximate Cost: 161 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approx.: 432 NP
5. Perfume Mallows:
An interesting plant these perfume mallows are. From the second that you plant
them, these plants will release a marshmallowy scent. It may attract UNWANTED
guests, so a snake rose with perfume mallows is a good idea!
Approximate Cost: 402 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 500 NP
6. Glass Rose:
A couple glass roses will add a touch of false wealth to any neohome's garden.
These roses are fragile, and relatively expensive because they come from Faerieland.
If you have rough little moppets, I do NOT suggest this plant for you!
Approximate Cost: 475 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 756 NP
7. Bluesticks:
Bluesticks are a common plant that is supposedly magical. Legend has it, that
if you pick a bluestick (Don’t worry! By the next morning it will grow back!)
and brush your neopets' teeth with it three times daily, they will grow up to
be big, strong, healthy, and handsome / beautiful.
Approximate Cost: 85 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 234 NP
8. Poppies:
Poppies come in several colors. Red are the most common and very original (approximately
290 NP). Pink poppies are slightly more unusual than red poppies and will add
a splash of color to your garden (approximately 611 NP). Purple Poppies are
EXTREMELY rare! You don't usually see a purple poppy (approximately 837 NP)!
Yellow poppies originated in Brightvale and when you get one from there, it's
absolutely perfect (approximately 1000 NP)! The Large Purple poppy is at least
twice as rare as the purple poppy. It is very hard to get a pure purple poppy,
let alone a large one, to grow! As the most expensive poppy, it costs approximately
1600 NP for ONE POPPY!
9. Fire Bush:
The fire bush is a truly cool plant. On extremely hot days, the fire bush will
ignite into flames! Make sure to have this bush surrounded by sand at all times!
(Also make sure not to have any flammable plants around!)
Approximate Cost: 145 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 532 NP
10. Blossom:
This flower is a pale purple color. It releases a sweet fragrance and would
be great for a walkway border or around a picnic area in your garden. But be
careful! These plants, the blossoms, originated in Faerieland, and are fragile.
They also attract some birds.
Approximate Cost: 285 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 294 NP
11. Spiky Bush:
The spiky bush weighs approximately 100lbs! Wow! And these magnificent plants
are quick and easy to grow. Just plant a seed, water it, add a little bit of
fertilizer on it and POOF! You have a spiky bush! These plants add a bit of
spiky spice to ANY neogarden! How much better can that get?!?!
Approximate Cost: 397 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: (!) 728 NP (!Yikes!)
12. Ring Vine:
This plant is a cross between parsley. For many people (neopets), this means
a snack and a way never to lose keys again! But be careful! Because if you don’t
trim the ring vine regularly, it will get out of hand and destroy your garden!
Approximate Cost: 244 NP
Cost shop owners sell it to you for is approximately: 428 NP
13. Rubber Plant:
The rubber plant is a great looking plant. It is also very, very easy to take
care of! The rubber plant also makes really great play things (toys) for young
(or old, or any age for that matter!!!) neopets and Neopians. Tee-Hee! They
tickle people!
Approximate Cost: 294 NP
Cost that shop owners sell it for is approximately: 527 NP
14. Yolkalia:
This plant (well, it is REALLY a flower) is beautiful. Its red petals will
dazzle your guests (and also your neopets!). Its center resembles an egg yolk.
Approximate Cost: 258 NP
Cost shop owners sell it for is approximately: 421 NP
Well, take my notes on these terrific plants and flowers into consideration
as you set up your neogarden this year!
Author's Notes: I did the best and trust job I could while writing this
guide. Please, if you have any feedback, or info on other plants that I can
put into a second guide on spring flowers, neomail me! Thanks!
