Grey Day – Grey Day comes once a year in Neopia and is a day to celebrate all things grey and gloomy. Many Neopians don’t like Grey Day, which is understandable. Most Neopians who do celebrate this occasion actually own a grey Neopet – for any grey Neopet, it’s like a second birthday and with any birthday comes a party and with any party comes… food. Delicious food! You don’t have to be hosting a Grey Day party to sample some of the fine grey cuisine that’s available in Neopia, you don’t even have to like Grey Day in the slightest.With lots of different grey food items to choose from, how do you know which ones are the best? Well your troubles are over as we have taste tested and compiled the top 10 grey foods in Neopia just to save you the trouble! #10. Grey Cheese Available from Neopian Fresh Foods for 506 NPS There is nothing unusual about this choice cheese, except the colour of course. Who doesn’t love cheese? If you don’t want to eat it by itself, you can eat it with some Neo Crackers. The taste of this cheese is very similar to Soft Tyrannian Cheese but is a bit stronger and greyer and is made from Kau Kau Farm Milk. Not only is this wedge of colourless cheese simply delicious, but it’s healthy too! #9. Grey Sub Available from The Bakery for 173 NPS This sad sub makes for a perfect lunch, containing Grey Cheese, Cheery Tomatoes which are no longer so cheery, and a range of other fresh grey ingredients! Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to stop it drooping, and it may cause the inside ingredients to spill out – but who cares? It’s delicious, a bit soggy, but delicious! #8. Grey Hot Dog Available from Hubert’s Hot Dogs for 1,293 NPS This heavy hearted hot dog even comes with its own little rain cloud. Whilst this sombre snack doesn’t look very appealing, it’s probably one of the best that Hubert has to offer but probably one of his least popular refreshments. It doesn’t exactly stand out next to an array of Hot Dog Sundaes or Triple Hot Dogs but it’s what’s in the inside that counts, or in this case taste. So next time you head over to Hubert’s Hot Dogs, pick up a Grey Hot Dog instead of your usual – you won’t be disappointed, we promise! #7. Grey Layer Cake Available from The Bakery for 982 NPS There’s no better way to celebrate Grey Day with style than with a Grey Layer Cake! This cake is a bit lop sided but who cares, it’s cake and a delicious cake at that – just the thing to turn your Neopet’s frown upside down! This tantalizing treat is made with A Dozen Neggs, Wheat Flour, copious amounts of sugar, Grey Doughnutfruits, spices exclusive to Shenkuu, whipped cream and a thick layer of gratifying grey frosting. Not even Baelia can resist this heavenly creation. #6. Grey Ice Cream Cone Available from Neopian Fresh Foods for 1,042 NPS Don’t be put off by this ice cream cone’s droopy appearance and the fact that it will go all over you, as this ice cream is simply savory and if you really need to you can just tip the ice cream into a bowl and eat the cone separately. Or if you have the time you can cheer the ice cream up a little by telling it about your day and it will perk up a little, just don’t inform it of your intentions to eat it afterwards. #5. Grey Toast Available from Neopian Fresh Foods for 88 NPS This gloomy gourmet grub is a perfect way to start your day, just add a Pat of Butter or perhaps some Baked Beans and you’re ready to go! Unfortunately, there are no grey topping that really go with this troubled toast unless you’re feeling particularly adventurous, in which case why not add some Grey Scorchipeppers? Grey Peach Pie Available from Neopian Fresh Foods for 1,102 NPS A deep filled pensive pastry filled with organic grey peaches grown in the Tyrannia. Whilst many Neopians have never seen a grey peach tree, we can assure you that they really do exist somewhere deep in the Tyrannian Jungle and are very scarce. Luckily only 1 peach is needed for this recipe, after all they are very big but you’ve probably never seen one. #3. Grey Pancakes Available from The Bakery for 151 NPS A stack of thin but appetizing pancakes with a large helping of thick grey syrup, how heavenly. These pancakes have a delightful buttery, fluffy taste and are a Neopians favourite – much more appealing and tastier than Fluffy Faerie Pancakes which currently hold the Best Neopian Pancake title. Grey Pizza Slice Available from Pizzaroo for 1,374 NPS One of the more unique pizzas available from Pizzaroo but also one of the most popular. Whilst you only get one slice opposed to a whole helping, this is one big slice if you haven’t seen or tried one already, maybe it has something to do with that little raincloud hovering about it? Many choose to eat this pizza slice alone but it tastes great with a helping Snot Fries – scrumptious. #1. Grey Eggs and Bacon Available from Neopian Fresh Foods for 89 NPS This heartbroken yet hearty breakfast is the perfect start to the day for the more battledome going Neopet who needs to build up their strength. Grey eggs, much like grey bacon are very nutritious and are great to compliment strength training. Of course, you don’t have to want to build up your strength to enjoy this mouth-watering meal made from succulent grey bacon and rich runny grey eggs. Why is this our number 1 top grey food? Because this fit for a king feast is so delicious, it could even put King Skaarl in a good mood and of course it’s quite simply exquisite in taste.
