Four Legged Friends (FLF) NP Wearables: Jan-June

NOTES:

1. If you have any questions regarding customizing, don't hesitate to mail us. If you would like to know the names of any of the items used, we would be glad to chat with you! A lot of these customizations were created with DTI using the Flash setting, so they may look different as an image!

2. "Where to Buy: N/A" simply means that it is not available in Neopian shops. It was given away by an event, that's all! You will be able to find it on the Trading Post, and even the Shop Wizard.

A: Okay, let's get down to business! Hi there everyone! We are back with another edition of Four Legged Friends. Not familiar with us? Well, I (Amanda) am a huge eyrie fan and Hayley is a huge Gnorbu fan - we want to highlight wearables and show customizations that are specifically dedicated to four-legged pets!

H: We have been busy with work and school, but thought that now was a good time for another edition of FLF. Why? Because there have been so many awesome NP-only wearables out so far this year, we want to bring them to your attention. We get super excited about customizing, and we want you to get excited with us! YAY!

A: This edition will be extra beneficial for those who cannot (or don't want to) buy NC. We are featuring neopoint-only wearables that can be purchased in Neopian shops or user shops. Customization is a super fun thing to do, so we have decided to bring together fifteen of the most universal (and gorgeous) wearables for you to view and hopefully use in the future.

H: Within this article, we will tell you where to buy the cute little wearable as well as the general price of it. Just note, these prices are as of: August 26, 2016. Also, we will list where to buy these wearables if you are hoping to restock them. Please note, some of these wearables were released from events and are not available within Neopian shops. We are also going to show you two examples of these wearables -

A: 1. Frozen Cherry Tree

With Winter just around the corner, you definitely want to add this wearable to your closet! It is absolutely adorable and can add just the right amount of colour to your Winter customizations! Also, it layers beautifully! It's not animated either, so it will not take away from an animated background. There is tons of room to be creative with this tree. Honestly, it is truly worth it's value.

H: 2. Lit Candles on a Stream Foreground

What a cute foreground item! Although this item isn't animated, it can add a tiny bit of detail and colour to any customization. It is pretty versatile and can be used in both daytime or nighttime customizations AND can layer easily!

A: 3. Hanging Hearts Tree Garland

This garland is really simplistic and adaptable to different customizations. It's not animated and doesn't cause much distraction. It's great for Valentines day!

H: 4. Quaint Negg House Background

This item was available as a bonus prize during the Negg Hunt of the 2016 Festival of Neggs. It is a gorgeous, spring-themed background that gives off a cheery sense. Remember, backgrounds are key when creating a customization for a four-legged pet as they can't hold things. Therefore, it is crucial to choose the right background! Even with Autumn just around the corner, if you are looking for a cheery background that allows you to reminisce about the warmer weather, this is the one for you! Unfortunately, you cannot restock this one from any Neopian shops, but keep an eye out for it on the trading post or if you're super lucky, on the Shop Wizard!

A: 5. Grey Road

Feeling down? Want a background that matches your mood? You might want to try this one. Keep in mind, it won't come up on any of the fan sites if you search "Background" as it was created without the word in its name; but it is, indeed, a background. This dreary background is great if you want to use colourful contacts, face paint or markings. Play around with it a bit!

H: 6. Altador Forest Background

I know Amanda was absolutely ecstatic when this item came out because she LOVES nighttime customizations. This is a gorgeous background, and it goes very well with many of the other forest-themed wearables available already. It isn't animated, but it is still gorgeous! Take advantage of the fact that it is not animated by adding some pretty garlands and foregrounds to detail the customization and truly bring it to life! This was given out during Daily Dare 2016.

A: 7. Breathtaking Night Sky

This was given out during Daily Dare 2016. This is definitely one of my favourite NP backgrounds. Again, you have to be very specific when searching as it is another background without "background" in the name. The night sky in this one is almost flawless - you can hardly tell that it is not animated! Even if you are someone who prefers bright customizations, it is very hard to resist adding this piece of art to your closet. You can easily use it as a general nighttime background, or do what Hayley has done below - use it as a seasonal one with the help of a foreground.

H: 8. Deserted Volleyball Court

This was given out during Daily Dare 2016. Ah, Summer! So many of us never want it to end. This is yet another background without "background" in it's name, so look carefully! Anyways - check out the colours in this background! It is so diverse that it is almost hard to find a pet that it DOESN'T match. The sunset is gorgeous, and even with the use of a foreground and garland, you still get the astonishing colouring. Don't miss out on this background, and let Summer live on forever!

This was given out during Daily Dare 2016. This fence is a subtle way to add a burst of colour to your customization. Whether it is in front of a garden, a beach or in a forest, the cute little flowers add adorable detail.

This was given out during Daily Dare 2016. This fence is great because its affordable, it's minimalistic and it can layer. To me, it seems more like a nighttime item and gives off a spooky vibe - but you are encouraged to play around with it and see what you can come up with!

You were given this background for participating in ten Altador Cup competitions prior to the 2016 cup. It's an elegant, celebratory background. You must really love the Altador Cup if you decide to add this to your closet!

Ever wanted a gorgeously detailed faerie background, but couldn't get your hands (or hoofs, or paws, or claws) on NC? TNT has given you the gift of Fyoras Balcony! The only problem here has that there is no "background" tagged onto it, so try not to miss it when searching for the perfect background.

This cute little kad was the hype of Summer 2016! Everyone wanted a little friend for their pet. They are still super popular, but a little more affordable now. It is an adorable addition to your closet, and is a great friend for your pet!

H: 14. Sky Blue Lipstick

You're probably sitting there like "WHAT? LIPSTICK?" Yes, this one is truly worth mentioning. Personally, I like it on eyries because it changes the colour of their beak entirely! This can be SUPER useful if you are using a dark base colour and need something to pop. See down below, I used the lipstick on a Halloween eyrie base, and it looks awesome with the rest of the blue in the customization. On other pets, it is awesome for Winter, or to match contacts. It is super easy to be creative with this, and can add detail to your customization.

Just take a moment to look at this work of art. What a gorgeous foreground! The colours are so diverse that it can be used in the Spring, Summer or Autumn which means it is a great investment! The colour variation makes it easy to match with many different colours on your pet or in the background, or you could use this foreground as an accent on its own.
