Notable Neopians of Terror Mountain by yellowflower7
--------
We are entering the winter season in Neopia, but on Terror Mountain, it’s winter all year long! Its denizens are quite used to the freezing cold. Perhaps we can learn a lesson or two from these famous snow-lovers on how to stay warm! Taelia the Snow Faerie Taelia has chosen a cosy igloo on top of Terror Mountain over her native Faerieland. Like her Faerie sisters, she is often honing her magic with various spells that she sends Neopians on quests for. If you’re lucky, you can trade in a few food items and get an Ice Cream Coupon from her! For those who brave the harsh snowstorms of the mountain, you can always count on Taelia to have your back when the going gets rough. Kari the Negg Faerie Kari is another special Faerie living on Terror Mountain. She runs the Neggery located in the Ice Caves, where you can trade in neggs for tokens. These tokens can then be redeemed for special neggs with all sorts of effects such as stat increases or colour changes. Each year, she also hosts the Festival of Neggs for Neopians to search for and paint limited edition neggs. Snowager This gigantic being might have once been a little Snowickle, but now he is a fierce guardian of the Ice Caves. Most hours of the day, he can be found carefully guarding his pile of treasure, threatening to blast thieves with his icy breath. If you time it right though, you could catch him sleeping and snag a negg or other treasure. You can also test your fighting skills against him in the Battledome, but be warned -- he is a formidable foe! Armin the Small As one of the first Bori to be freed from his civilization’s frozen curse, Armin became famous for rescuing Hannah during the Ice Caves plot. He teamed up with Hannah and Kanrik to fight against the Thieves Guild. A well-aimed stone from his sling brought down the Bringer of Night, thus saving the rest of his people from their curse. Years later, he continues to serve as a role model for other young Bori on Terror Mountain, and has become good friends with Taelia the Snow Faerie. Mr. Chipper This jolly blue Lutari runs the Ice Cream Cart in Happy Valley. He was one of the first Lutari to venture from Lutari Island in order to start his own business. By trading in an Ice Cream Coupon from Taelia, you can get all sorts of sweet treats. You may even redeem an extra rare ice cream such as the Rainbow Sherbert Ice Cream or massive Five Scoop Ice Cream! Scratchcard Kiosk Wocky Try your luck! The Wocky who runs the Happy Valley Scratchcard Kiosk has three little shamrock charms in his mane. Most of the scratchcards in his stock are disappointing Race to Riches Scratchcards. If you want a chance at the jackpot, you’ll need to scratch a rare Icetravaganza Scratchcard. This Wocky seems to have quite the affinity for games of chance -- sometimes he’ll hand out free lottery tickets in random events! Dieter the Polarchuck Dieter is famous for his ability to eat, eat, eat! You can help guide him through the ice caves as he eats his favourite food--snow! But he often runs into trouble with Snow Wurms. And as big as his appetite is, he does eventually hit a limit and needs to drink some Bloat-B-Gone to soothe his stomach. Snow Beasts These terrifying creatures seem to be the adult form of Snicklebeasts. They roam the mountains and will chuck snowballs at those who dare intrude on their territory. They seem to come in several varieties, including an extra fierce kind with red fur. If you plan to hike through Terror Mountain, best be wary of these monsters! Donny Oops! Looks like your pet played with one of their toys a little too hard! Instead of buying a new one, you can make your way to Donny’s Toy Repair Shop! While he may seem grumpy at first, this old Bori really enjoys fixing up toys and giving them new life. He can even fix that Bag of Broken Neopoints that you fished up the other day. He does seem to have a perpetual cold though and you may need to pat him on the back to help him through his coughing fits. For someone who lives on Terror Mountain, you would think he’d bundle up some more! Tarla If you enjoy surprises, then visit Tarla’s Shop of Mystery! Her shop is full of unmarked bags at varying prices. Many of them contain junk or broken toys, but you could get lucky and snag a paint brush or negg for just a few hundred Neopoints. Hm, where does Tarla get all these items from anyway? Mika and Carassa’s Igloo Garage Sale This pair of chias have hoarded way too many items over the years in their attic (perhaps trying to get the packrat avatar?) and run a never ending garage sale. You can stop by to help them clean up. All sorts of items are available at bargain prices, though you’ll need to take your turn and wait a few minutes between purchases. Who knows, there might be some treasure in there if you visit at the right time! Terror Mountain Altador Cup Team Terror Mountain fields its very own team for the yearly Altador Cup. Led by team captain Prytariel, these players are well-adapted to practicing in the cold. Although not always a high performing team, they managed to win the cup in Y21 over second place Team Virtupets and third place Team Maraqua. Since then, they have been working hard to repeat that win. Altador Cup fans can observe their practice sessions down in Happy Valley. Now that you’ve learned about all these famous denizens of Terror Mountain, it’s time for you to pay them all a visit and make some snowy memories together! Grab a hot cup of borovan with someone and visit the Advent Calendar each day together!
