10 Must-Have Warm Weather Wearables for Baby Neopets

     Pollen in the air... Blossoms on all the trees... Springabees taking flight… Spring is here and Baby Neopets are changing into their cutest spring outfits! Most Neopet species can be painted Baby by virtue of the Baby Paintbrush available in The Hidden Tower. Alternatively, you can trade one of your Neopets for a Baby Neopet or - if you are lucky - stumble across one in the Pound. However you come across your Baby Neopet, here are ten of the must-have spring wearables for any Baby Neopet's closet.

     1. Baby Spring Body Paint

     Type: Neocash

     This was initially a limited edition item from the Baby Bottle Mystery Capsule in 2018 and therefore quite difficult to come by. Luckily it was re-released in the 2020 Baby Bash Retired Mystery Capsule. While there are numerous body paints, face paints, and make-ups designed for basic Neopets, only a limited number are available for Baby Neopets. The majority of these are geared towards Halloween and Valentine's Day, and so Baby Spring Body Paint has the distinction of being the only spring-themed Baby markings. With its curlicue leaves and violet and pink buds, the Body Paint is a must-have for any Baby Neopet.

     2. Baby Spring Wig

     Type: Neocash

     This was buyable in the NC Mall in 2012 and was later re-released in both the Baby Bottle and Baby Bash Retired Mystery Capsule. The Pastel colour and crown of flowers pair nicely with many spring outfits. It was recently released in Dyeworks in Orange, Pink, and Brown versions, which gives it the versatility to be worn by a wider array of Baby Neopets. I would say that any - or all - of these is a staple to any Baby Neopet's closet.

     3. Baby Bubble Wand

     Type: Neocash

     What Baby Neopet doesn't love playing with bubbles in the springtime? As one of the few Baby handheld items, the Baby Bubble Wand works nicely with both springtime and backyard backgrounds. It can also help transition to summer when worn with the ever-popular Baby Wading Pool (NC). It was initially available through Wonderclaw in 2013 but was re-released in multiple Mystery Capsules since. Why not pair it with MME6-S2: A Bunch of Popping Bubbles (NC) or Bubbles in the Lake (NP) for a truly bubble-ific effect?

     4. Dyeworks Green: Baby Polka Dot Dress

     Type: Neocash

     The original Baby Polka Dot Dress was available through Wonderclaw. As adorable as the pastel pink hue was, it was re-released through Dyeworks in 2020. The additional colours give it the versatility to be used in various seasons. The Orange version is great for autumn and Halloween customisations; the Blue is fantastic in wintery and icy looks; and the Green really spruces up springtime outfits. On brisk spring evenings, it can be layered with the Baby Spring Jumper (NC) to keep your Baby Neopet nice and toasty.

     5. Polka Dot Baby Jumpsuit

     Type: Neocash

     While many of the Baby wearables available are tailored for female Neopets, this jumpsuit can be worn by either gender. Like Dyeworks Green: Baby Polka Dot Dress, it blends nicely into springtime looks. And like the dress, it can be worn under the Baby Spring Jumper (NC). It has the additional benefit of being buyable in the NC Mall for 150 NC so you don't have to worry about trying to trade for one. So why not go pick one up for your Baby Neopet today?

     6. Pretty Baby Stroller

     Type: Neopoint

     This is not only one of my favourite Baby wearables but one of my favourite Neopoint wearables in general. After all, what Baby Neopet does not enjoy being pushed around in a stroller on a warm spring day? I find that it works well with backgrounds with tree-lined paths such as Peaceful Park in Spring (NC) and Spring Path background (NP). Being such a versatile wearable, it can also be used on balmy summer days and foliage-lined autumn streets. Although initially hard to find and expensive when released in 2019, the price has since come down. It is now available through Shop Wizard and the Trading Post for just under a million Neopoints.

     7. Spring Baby Dress

     Type: Neocash

     This is the quintessential spring dress with a skirt that resembles flower petals. It was initially available for purchase in 2011 but has since been re-released multiple times. I find that it works well with flowery backgrounds such as Great Big Outdoors background (NC) or Among Flowers background (NC). It can be paired with the Baby Spring Wig in any of its colours for a truly floral effect.

     8. Baby in an Easter Basket Background

     Type: Neocash

     Although this background is more limited in its scope, the Festival of Neggs undoubtedly heralds the beginning of spring in Neopia. This background was initially released as part of the Baby Easter Gram in 2015. Other items available from the Gram include Baby Sequined Peach Dress, Baby Snowbunny Plushie, and Baby Wig with Snowbunny Ears - all of which look lovely with this background. The background can be worn by both basic and Baby Neopets, although the argument can be made that the latter fit the proportions better. And who could deny that Baby Neopets look cutest among those brightly coloured flowers and Neggs?

     9. Baby Blue Striped Dress

     Type: Neopoint

     This gorgeous blue sundress with a white sash looks perfect under any flawless blue spring sky. If you've fallen in love with it for one of your customisations, be prepared to pay a hefty price tag. Originally released in 2018 as a rare item code prize, this dress is available on the Trading Post for tens of millions of Neopoints. A similar alternative is the Baby Blue Fabric Dress, a Neocash version that was available in 2020.

     10. Baby Bunny Ear Shoes

     Type: Neopoint

     Another rare item code prize with an impressive Neopoint price tag, these shoes complete any customisation during the Festival of Neggs. Wearing them, your Baby Neopet will feel at home with the Snowbunnies that are making their ways out of their burrows at the first signs of spring.
