Quote of the Week

"Kindness makes Neopia go round, and there’s really nothing more gratifying than to get thanks from someone who’s been struggling!"

Brain Freeze: Perfect Altador Cup Slushie Selections

In true Altador Cup spirit, no summer is complete without kicking Yooyus, screaming until your voice is hoarse, and drinking slushies until your brain feels permanently frozen. But when you're craving a bit of an icy kick, there are dozens of options (literally) to choose from, and if you're racing back to see if your team has scored with that Darigan Yooyu yet, you may not have a lot of time to ponder your options.

Kau Day Fair at the Kau Kau Farmgrounds, but Vegan!

Ahre, reporting live from the grounds of Kau Kau Farms to bring some outreach to the fair goers during the weekend. My heart was called here today to report on the celebration of the Kau, pronounced as Cow, a gentle and kind creature living amongst its herds on the farm. It appears the Kau is treated with a free-range lifestyle, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that it is acceptable to drink the milk products that the farm produces.

Food Analysis with A

For this first edition of my Neopian food critique, I made it my mission to scour Neopia in search of the best desserts to recommend to the Neopian times readers. At the same time, as a food critic and expert in Neopian cuisine, I also made a point to warn you about the desserts you absolutely have to stay away from!

Other Stories
"Kingston the Gentle..Kougra" by rkbear
”And so the bird said to the trees, you shelter me, and I’ll care for you,” Kingston listened to his sister sing as he packed his bags for his next trip. He wanted to find more wild vegetables to add to their new garden. They’d had a much larger garden in Meridell, but Anne didn’t have the heart to dig them all up. She brought as many seeds and cuttings as she could when they moved.

"An Inventor's Dream" by therainbowsheep
”Yer sure ya want me to repair this thing? It'll cost ya 373 NP!" Donny held up a magnifying glass to the bent roller blades and picked up a neon green wheel with a small sigh as he rattled off a quote for arguably his most frequent customer. Sure, the older Bori repaired toys for a living, but he preferred the scenario where he was fixing a toy because a child broke it playing with as opposed to experimenting with it.

"Profiles of Players" by sleepythegrown
The Moehog sits across from me, and even the most discerning eye would be hard-pressed to find evidence of nerves. Nothing about him gives away that this cool player had just minutes earlier finished a hair-raising game of Cheat. He finished with a bluff that left fans on the edges of their seats, and a 1000-watt smile that knocked them right back down.
