Neopia's Top Grundo Day Commodities

by _brainchild_

--------

Around Grundo Day, many Neopians are at a loss when trying to decide how to celebrate. There are hundreds of wonderful Grundo items to choose from, each one seeming as promising as the next. Therefore, I have provided my recommendations for the best Grundo items, in my opinion:

Baby Grundo Plushie- This adorable plushie resembles a Baby Grundo, of course. It is light blue with large pink eyes and a white nappy. The oversized eyes give it a most adorable appearance despite its alien species. An actual living, breathing Baby Neopet would be delighted to receive this beautiful plushie as a gift. Best of all, it is affordable, whether at the Plushie Palace or by using the Shop Wizard. Most of the items on this list are inexpensive.

Halloween Grundo Plushie- If your Neopet isn't fond of cute plushies, he or she might enjoy this spooky plushie instead. It portrays a Halloween Grundo, complete with its eerie red eyes and vicious scythe. The detail put into this plushie is impeccable, so almost any Neopet will appreciate it. Being r101, it does not restock at the Plushie Palace, so you must venture to the Trading Post. It costs hundreds of thousands of Neopoints at the time of writing, so be prepared if you wish to purchase this item.

Blue Grundo Notebook- School is approaching fast, and therefore your pet will need some school supplies to start the new year. This notebook would serve this purpose greatly while looking stylish as well. It depicts a smiling Grundo's face on the front, complete with jiggling antennae. Although this item came from a rare item code long ago, you should be able to find one on the Shop Wizard for a decent price.

Faerie Grundo Sugar Cookie- This sweet treat is sure to delight the taste buds of any Neopet who tries it. It resembles a Faerie Grundo perfectly; it is cerulean with dark blue frosting and topped with light blue hard candies. Your Neopet will be pleased to pick off the hard candies and eat them, then gobble down the cookie. This gourmet food (r90) restocks at the Bakery in Neopia Central from time to time, or you may ask the Shop Wizard.

Grey Grundo Muffin- If the Faerie Grundo Sugar Cookie is far too sweet for your Neopet's palate, I suggest the Grey Grundo Muffin instead. Don't let its dreary appearance fool you; it is very tasty in its own right. It features a Grundo's face, complete with dark red eyes. This delicacy, also gourmet (r92), is also available at the Bakery, or you should be able to find one at the Trading Post. It costs over 100,000 Neopoints at the time of writing, so make sure you have the funds.

Milk Chocolate Grundo- Almost everyone loves chocolate! This delicious candy is made of milk chocolate, of course, and is shaped just like a Grundo. Your Neopet with a sweet tooth will be very excited to receive this for dessert! It is very inexpensive, so everyone can afford this simple indulgence. It restocks at the Chocolate Factory often, or the Shop Wizard can find one for you.

Raspberry Grundo Lollypop- If your Neopet prefers hard candy instead of chewy chocolate, then this lollypop is sure to please him or her. Tasting of raspberry, the candy is shaped just like a Red Grundo's head. How charming! However, it may pose a choking hazard for Baby Neopets. Otherwise, enjoy! You may pick this treat up at the Chocolate Factory or by asking the Shop Wizard.

Orange Grundo Sherbet- Yet another delicious dessert makes my list for the best Grundo Day items. This sherbet, tasting of oranges (of course), is shaped like a Grundo's head, complete with antennae. The swirls of terrific taste will dance delightfully across your Neopet's tongue. This savory treat is decorated by a sprig of red berries, so your Neopet will enjoy those as well! This gourmet food (r92) is obtainable at Café Kreludor, or you may ask the Shop Wizard.

Grundos Luxury Kebab- This delectable dish, although not a dessert, is very yummy nevertheless. It features three brilliant blobs on a stick, each of a different hue. Although one cannot readily identify what they are made of, they are delicious, which is the most important factor for many Neopets when choosing their edibles. This gourmet food (r95) is available at Grundo's Café, or the Shop Wizard can find one for you.

Grundo Beauty Book- Despite being aliens, who says that Grundos can't be beautiful? This interesting volume will teach your female Grundo how to look more attractive. Even if you don't own a Grundo, it is an intriguing read. It restocks at the Booktastic Book shop often, or you should be able to find one on the Shop Wizard.

Grundo Inspired Bed- This eclectic piece will look extraordinary in your Neopet's bedroom. It features orange sheets and yellow pillows, complete with red bed posts resembling Grundo antennae. How creative! Even if your Neopet is not a Grundo, he or she will surely appreciate this gorgeous work of art. Ironically, it is sold at the Furniture Shop in Neopia Central, not Kreludan Homes. Alternatively, you may ask the Shop Wizard.

Grundo Independence Day Usuki- This unbelievably brilliant Usuki specifically commemorates Grundo Day. Since the Usukicon took place recently, this delightful doll is very suitable for this time of year. It depicts an Usul dressed up in a Green Grundo costume. How cute! Since this item is r99, it will be difficult to find. With a LOT of luck, you might be able to buy one at Usukiland in Neopia Central, or you should be able to find one at the Trading Post... for at least a few million Neopoints.

Plushie Grundo Morphing Potion- If your Neopet is not a Grundo but would like to be one, he or she should consider drinking a Grundo Morphing Potion. Although they come in several different colors, the Plushie one is the coolest looking, in my opinion. It will transform your pet into a squishy, adorable Plushie Grundo. It will set you back almost one million Neopoints (at the time of writing), so if you can't afford it, there are less expensive ones to buy, such as Spotted Grundo Morphing Potion or Starry Grundo Morphing Potion.

Purple Grundo Stamp- Although stamp collecting is definitely the most expensive hobby on Neopets, here is a very affordable option to add to your collection. This philatelic prize features a Purple Grundo, complete with orange eyes and spots. The perforations on the edges of the stamp are also purple to match the Grundo it depicts. You may pick this item up at the Post Office in Neopia Central, or the Shop Wizard can find one for you.

Gardening Grundo Gnome- Last but not least, the Gardening Grundo Gnome will be a grand addition to your garden. It portrays a jolly, bearded Grundo, complete with a hat and shovel. If you are looking for a decoration to accent your beautiful blossoms, this accessory is the perfect choice. It is sold at the Garden Center, or you may find one using the Shop Wizard.

Those fifteen items are my recommendations for the greatest Grundo items in Neopia. Whether your pet is a Grundo or not, he or she will surely enjoy the celebration. Therefore, you may buy one or two of these items for your pet(s) to enhance the festivities, which are for everyone, not just Grundos. Three cheers for Grundo Day, and happiness to all!
