Helping your Jubble Bubble Troubles!

--------

MARAQUA - In Jubble Bubble, Kelby, a Maraquan Shoyru, and his Maraquan JubJub friends are hunting for pirate treasure near the ocean floor. However, the JubJubs can’t swim as deep as Kelby and now they are quickly spiraling down to the bottom of the ocean! Kelby can help his friends by blowing a bubble to soften their landing.

Do you have Jubble Bubble troubles? Hopefully this will help! In this guide, I will teach you tips that will help you score over 1000 consistently. That equals 3000 Neopoints a day from Jubble Bubble! We will also discuss the basic objectives and scoring.

First off, we should review the basic concepts of the game.

In Neopia’s new game, Jubble Bubble, your job is to play Kelby and help aim his bubbles so his friends won’t splat on the ocean floor. The object is to position Kelby underneath the falling JubJub and create a bubble to soften his landing.

Click the left mouse button and hold to adjust the distance that the bubble will travel. As soon as your bubble train has reached the falling JubJub, release the bubble by letting go of the mouse button. If you are accurate with your positioning, when you release the bubble it should capture the falling JubJub. If you miss on the first shot, it is okay to try again if you have enough time before the next object falls to the ground.

After the object (JubJub, shell, or dubloon) is captured in the bubble, you are done with it. It will fall to the ground and you will get the points. Each captured object doesn’t have to fall on Kelby, so just let it fall! If you worry about having Kelby “catching” each object, you will waste time and lose lives.

It is imperative that you capture the JubJubs, because each one that splats on the ocean floor loses you a life. Since you only get three lives in a game, you don’t have much room for error. That’s basically all you have to do. Pretty simple, eh?

Now, let’s go over scoring.

Scoring in Jubble Bubble is quite simple. There are three ways to score, each by capturing a different object in a bubble. A Maraquan JubJub will earn you 10 points, a white shell is worth 5 points, and the dubloons are worth 25 points each.

As I mentioned above, you absolutely HAVE to capture the JubJubs. Each one you don’t capture loses one of your three lives, which isn’t good.

The white shells are definitely a good object to capture. If you don’t capture the white shells, it’s okay as long as the shells don’t land on top of Kelby. If this happens, Kelby will be stunned for about two to three seconds and you won’t be able to blow any bubbles. When the objects start to fall quickly, this is a problem. You will probably lose a life if you aren’t in the beginning stages of the game.

If you don’t capture the dubloon, nothing will happen even if it lands on Kelby. But, who doesn’t want an extra 25 points? You should definitely have enough time to capture the dubloons in the early stages of the game. Try to capture the dubloons later in the game especially if you have enough time and won’t lose a life. However, you have to capture the JubJubs! So, if necessary sacrifice the dubloon for the JubJub. Dubloons won’t lose you a life, but JubJubs will.

Here are a few handy tips that I have discovered.

Tip #1: Place your mouse pointer on the object that you are trying to capture. This will help with the accuracy of your bubble trail. This one tip improved my score tremendously!

Tip #2: Make sure that the bubble trail reaches the bottom of the object you are trying to capture BEFORE you release. If it doesn’t, there is a pretty good chance that the object will not be captured in the bubble. This is a waste of time and could lead to a loss of a life, especially in later stages of the game.

Tip #3: Aim your bubble trail for the middle of the object you are trying to capture. You have to have pretty good accuracy to capture the falling object.

Tip #4: If you begin to shoot your bubble trail and notice that it’s not centered on the object, you can move Kelby so that your bubble trail is aimed for the center of the falling object. This is a very good thing to do!

Tip #5: In later stages of the game, it is almost necessary to begin to shoot the bubble trail before you are directly underneath the falling object. This is particularly handy if the falling object is still near the top of the screen and you have a long distance to shoot. If the falling object is at a closer distance (mid-screen and below), don’t begin to shoot too early or the trail will go up too far. Kelby moves fairly slowly, so if you have to move from one side of the screen to the other it is possible that you won’t reach the object before it hits the ground, unless you begin to shoot before you reach the object. Remember, you can always center your bubble trail once you get directly underneath.

Tip #6: Move Kelby back to center after each shot. That way, it makes it easier to avoid having to move slow Kelby from one far side to the other. You have a better chance of making accurate shots if you don’t have to move Kelby very far. However, it’s not necessary to move Kelby to the center if you see another object falling in his current area.

Tip #7: If you miss one JubJub and he falls to the ground, move on quickly to the next one. You don’t have time to waste thinking about how you missed it because a new object will be falling. If you get distracted and think about the last one you missed, it’s likely that you can miss the next one too! Two lost lives in a few seconds are not good! I don’t know how many times that I’ve been doing well, but then I’ll drop one JubJub and then two more in a few seconds. So, I lose in game in a matter of SECONDS because I dwelled on one lost JubJub. Move on!

Tip #8: As always, if you have a slow computer, play on low quality. This will help the game move faster and smoother!

Tip #9: Play with the music on! Okay, so you don’t have to, but I really like the music! I think it helps you get into the game and it makes it real. If the music distracts you, then you can turn it off by clicking the “Music Off” button on the main page.

Tip #10: Please turn off all parents/spouses and set your instant messengers to away before you begin to play! Make sure you have all your chores done, so you won’t be summoned from your computer. Also, make sure that there will be no windows popping up during your game because it is likely that you will lose a life if that happens. There is no pause button in this game and it can take a long time to play if you want to get a good score!

As always, practice makes perfect, or err... better than what you used to be! When this game was first released, I could only score about 200-300 each game. After practicing a few hours, my score improved tremendously! I can now score consistently above 1000 each game and I know I will get better the more I practice. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get a trophy sometime!

I hope my guide will help you improve your score. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to neomail me!
