Spectacular Slorgs, Color and Scent So Misunderstood
Hi! My name is Alice, and I am a Slorg. In honor of Slorg Day, I am here to dispel the common myths about Slorgs which have been circulating around:
"SLORGS ARE DIRTY!" "SLORGS ARE UGLY!" "SLORGS ARE SMELLY!"
No, we're NOT! We're just as clean as any other Petpet. We are actually pretty attractive---I have known some beautiful Slorgs of interesting and impressive colors. Our slime trails do not SMELL---they are actually very pleasantly scented. Slorg slime is actually an ingredient in some perfumes. Because I am sick of hearing that Slorgs smell like the Meridellian RUBBISH DUMP, I am here to tell you about the top ten Slorg colors, in my opinion:
---Faerie Slorgs: These beauties have an amazing pose, and they are also blessed with little blue wings! How cute! Although their wings are so small, they are still able to fly, but only for short distances. I've heard that there is a training class in Faerieland which teaches Faerie Slorgs how to improve their flying skills. The Faerie Slorgs' pink color is very pleasing, too. These lovely angels smell like strawberries. ---Fire Slorgs: These creatures are very cool-looking. They are pitch-black with yellow and red flames traveling up their bodies. Because of this, DO NOT TOUCH THEM! You will undoubtedly burn your hand, paw, tentacle, or whatever you use. They smell like cinnamon, which is diluted for perfume-making because otherwise, the scent would burn everyone's nostrils. ---Island Slorgs: These cuties are sand-colored with white flower markings. They also wear beautiful red blooms on their heads, and they also wear attractive grass skirts. Next time I see an Island Slorg, I will ask to borrow that skirt, since it is SO COOL! I wonder where they got it. Did they make it themselves? At any rate, it's awesome! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that Island Slorgs smell like coconuts, MY FAVORITE! ---Rainbow Slorgs: Need I explain? These Slorgs bear every color of the rainbow. If you can't decide on a single hue, these Slorgs have them all! The colors are in order, and they form horizontal stripes from head to toe. (Do Slorgs even HAVE toes? I don't, but I do have a tail.) Rainbow Slorgs create a different scent every day of the week. They can produce all kinds of pleasant aromas, such as rose and citrus, to name a few! ---Maraquan Slorgs: These lovelies aren't your typical Slorgs. They have a SNAIL SHELL! I wish I had a shell, so I could hide in it whenever I argue with my brother. I wish he wouldn't---I digress. Maraquan Slorgs also have eyes on stalks, which they rotate to see 360 degrees! I wish I had that ability. These Slorgs bear a deep purple hue, and they smell like the ocean breeze. ---Halloween Slorgs: These little vampires are quite intimidating. They are red with fangs, and they wear a black cape to make themselves look tougher. :K Those fangs are so SHARP! If I had fangs, I would accidentally bite MYSELF while eating. Not fun! Halloween Slorgs also have an evil glare that sends shivers down my spine---Oops, I don't have a spine, do I? At any rate, they smell like candy corn. What would you expect from a HALLOWEEN Petpet? ---Desert Slorgs: These beauties are tan, like the desert sand. However, what makes them interesting is their attractive headdress, which reminds me of something a pharaoh would wear. It features gold and navy blue stripes, as well as a lovely red jewel in the middle. I think it's a ruby! I'll have to ask next time I see a Desert Slorg. These lovelies smell like sugar and oasis water! ---Royal Slorgs: See these eyelashes? Yes, I am indeed a Royal Slorg. My mother was queen of a long line of royal-blooded Slorgs called---Again, I digress. We Royals are the prettiest of Slorgs because we wear a beautiful light pink hat! See the ribbon? So MAJESTIC! Don't worry, the fur trim is faker than the rumors I'm dispelling today. We do no harm. Also take notice of our beautiful purple skin with yellow flower markings. Purple and yellow are complements on the color wheel! If you haven't noticed my scent of grapes and sugar by now, then you must have a cold! ---Eventide Slorgs: These cuties are the epitome of a perfect sunset. Their midnight blue color graduates into a beautiful, fiery orange! They also bear markings that resemble twinkling stars. How magical! Their hypnotizing appearance is more than enough to put me to sleep at night. They smell like coconut, citrus, and the enchanting ocean breeze. ---Valentine Slorgs: These fellows are literally SWEETHEARTS! That's right---they bear a bright pink pop of color, decorated by lighter pink hearts. Your mouth is watering, isn't it? That's because they smell like sugar and chocolate. DO NOT EAT! If you've read Christine's Neopian Times work before, you will know that there is a certain annoying Kacheek in Brightvale who is OBSESSED with chocolate. She will stop at NOTHING to get it, so, Valentine Slorgs, STAY AWAY!
Honorable Mentions:
---Brown Slorgs: They do NOT smell like DUNG! They smell like CHOCOLATE. Enough said. ---Magma Slorgs: DO NOT TOUCH. You'd think that everyone would know better, but Magma Slorgs accidentally incinerate Pinchits and Larnikins on a daily basis. Magma Slorgs also smell like cinnamon, but the scent had BETTER be diluted with 80% water! I also hear that faerie magic works wonders. ---Tyrannian Slorgs: Contrary to popular belief, they HAVE bathed in the last few days. They smell like Terry Berries. Don't worry about the tusks, either, sinve I have yet to meet one that bites. ---Zombie Slorgs: Let the rumors die. Zombie Slorgs smell like almonds and vegetables, not creepy fate. They feast on primarily plants, so don't worry about your safety, either.
I hope that this piece of mine will help inform the Neopian public that Slorgs are NOT disgusting monsters. I am sick of the fear and contempt that many have held for the Slorg species over the years. We aren't DIRTY or DANGEROUS. We are clean, cute, and friendly, just like any other Petpet. I hope that more Neopets will consider choosing a Slorg as their Petpet, since we love making friends. I think that all of you will be pleasantly surprised.
