Valentine's Day Celebration in Neopia

     The fireworks for the new year’s celebration was splendid indeed, breath-taking sparkles lit up the sky. The Neopians clapped, shouted and screamed with glee, especially at the 3, 2, 1 Happy New Year!!!Yes, it was a blast to celebrate. The mood of serenity dawned as the new year dawned to make 2025 a good one.

      “What’s your new year’s resolution?” was asked all through Neopia, with such determination to reach their goals. “Good luck to you!” was the usual reply back. Everyone was so excited for the year of 2025. To celebrate new years they had dancing all night long. It seemed as song after song the DJ played, a techo named Darius.

      “Any requests?” he asked. He played all their requests and shyly an acara named Shelly asked, “Is there any food?”

     “Everyone follow me! As you wish, Shelly!

     “Oh my! Thank you said Shelly and the others

     “Grab a plate and dig in! said DJ Darius.

     They piled their plates with delicious food and desserts too! A feast worthy of all Neopians. The new year's celebration came to an end with much contentment and happiness

     Fast forward… Valentine’s Day approaching… on a tree , well several trees and all over Neopia there were signs that was written “Join me, DJ Darius for a fun night with dancing “The Hop” .

     “Oooh! This seems fun! The Neopets cheered!

     “Will you go to “The Hop” with me?” was heard all through Neopia. It was nerve wracking to ask someone but it all turned out alright.

     Shopping time , oooh was it fun, and in fine print, DJ Darius said, “females wear a tiara”.

      “Oh! Cool!” Jenny a shoyru squealed!

     The females went shopping together to find something to wear. The males also went shopping with a buddy. It was a grand ole time shopping for an outfit. While shopping, and before “The Hop” they wondered why faeries would gather food and fly back up with it. They were wondering because it was happening quite often. What a mystery!

     DJ Darius and all the faeries were the hosts of “The Hop”. It is going to be on a ship owned by pirates. Darius befriended them and said “This will be a celebration of a lifetime.

     “Arg, Arg! “ the pirates shouted. “The ship is all your, February 14!” Valentine’s Day”

     After taking a tour of the ship, DJ Darius was pleased that there was an upper deck. That is where the feast will be. He has arranged for a 50 foot table full of foods galore that all the faeries are gathering.

     Speaking of fearies, their job is to go in shifts of gathering food as not to have too much fatigue. It is a very strenuous task of diving and gathering foods.The faeries were happy to do so to get the smiles and happiness of the Neopians.

      No one knew about the celebration being on a ship until he told Jimmy, a passing Krawk.

      “The Celebration is on a ship!” Pass it on!

     So word got out fast!

      “A ship! Yay! screamed an Usul named Lilly.

     Word spread throughout Neopia. It was going to be a blast! Lots of fun for all the Neopians!

     Valentine’s Day is only a week away and there is so much to do. DJ Darius needed flowers, balloons, streamers. He needed to decorate the ship with the help of the faeries. He wans to make it a night to remember. On the ship, the first thing you will notice is a heart made with flowers and balloons, pink and red. There will be balloons on the floor everywhere. There will be happy squeals when they pop.Happy Valentine’s Day will be written on the wall in pink and red.The upper deck and lower deck will have streamers in red and pink. The upper deck as well as the lower deck will have tea lights instead of lamps to light up the ship.In the center of the upper deck all the food the fairies gathered will be on a 50 foot table.A might feast it will be, enough for all the food the Neopians desired. The upper deck has windows with views of the stars and moon and ocean. Time is running out and DJ Darius still had to make up the dance “The Hop”.

      With his DJ equipment he put on some beats, saying “Now Hop!” and he’d hop now hippity hop! He said while hopping forward. “Now hop real fast in one place!” He was having a blast making the moves of “The Hop”

      DJ Darius also taught the fairies “The “Hop.” They will teach the Neopians also. He scheduled a time for the faeries to learn “The Hop”

      “Faeries, Here’s the moves to “The Hop”!

      “Oh wow this dance is really neat !DJ Darius! The other faeries nodded in agreement. The faeries learned “The “Hop and they were ready to dance with the Neopians.

     Meanwhile in Neopia, the faeries were hard at work as the dance was only one day away.

      “What are they doing with all that food? Are they hungry? Or something?” asked Tom a Bruce.

      “I don’t know, but I want some. They are making me hungry.” said Bill, a Kacheek.

      “Look! There goes another faerie! With more food!” said Lisa a Shoyru.

     The Neopians eyes were glued to the sky as the faeries no longer gathered in shifts.

      “Hey light faerie, what’s the food for? Asked Layla a peophin.

      “For all of you!” she replied and winked.

      “Did you see her wink? Asked Layla?

      “Yes! They all said in wonderment.

     The night of the Valentine’s Celebration was here, the females looked lovely with their dresses and tiaras on. The males gave their partner chocolates and flowers. The ship was decorated so beautifully. The Neopians had their picture taken when they walked in to remember this night.

      “Welcome to “The Hop!” Everyone, this celebration is hosted by me and all the faeries.

     Follow me to the upper deck!” All for you guys! I hope tonight is a night you will always remember! Happy Valentine’s Day!

      “Thank you! The Neopians yelled!

      “Your welcome! Eat as much as you want!” replied DJ Darius. I will now go downstairs to play more music!

     The night went on and DJ Darius played thor requests.

      “Now it’s time to dance “The Hop”. Me and the faeries will teach you. They danced “The Hop” and danced some more and ate also.

     The Neopets had so much fun, “The Hop” was the dance that was so well liked. The Neopets will probably still do “The Hop” on any given day, for it is a dance of unity the Neopians shared.

     DJ Darius was happy with himself that he was able to pull off another celebration. The Neopets were so happy with DJ Darius and the Valentine’s Day Celebration.

     Neopia will be happy for a while, with such a grand time, at the Valentine's Day Celebration! It was a fun time indeed! DJ Darius told them, "wait until next Valentine's Day!" The Neopians were so excited! and left the ship with smiles all around! It will be a long wait for next Valentine's Day, they would sure love to do "The Hop" again! It was a grand time indeed!
