A Neopian Story by sessduh

Biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, diaries… they all provide the most valuable lessons in life. Neopians who publish their stories usually have an interesting story to tell about their ordeals and what they’ve learned from all of it. I absolutely love reading about the various colorful figures in Neopia with my Lupe, Calpio. There are many biographical books available for your reading enjoyment, but these are my personal picks. The following details a selection of biographies that I encourage you to read with your Neopet. Title: Brucey B Biography Description: “This biography is the ultimate reading for Brucey B fans.” For fans of Cheat, Brucey B’s biography tells the story of the young Bruce when he was an underground card-table sensation, eventually taking out every cheat player in Terror Mountain, the Lost Desert and Mystery Island. Bankrolled by The Thieves Guild, Brucey B went on to win the Neopian World Cheat Tournament. Then, his luck began to run out. Notorious for gambling every single neopoint in his pocket, the story in these pages is the startling tale of a Bruce who won at his game, yet lost control of his life. Title: Miras Travels Through Space: An Autobiography Description: "Read about all of Miras adventures in this exciting new novel." Living among the stars, Mira the Space Faerie narrates her escapades in her own words. With great determination, Mira worked her way into unexplored space territory. When she had returned a few years later, she had long since been given up for dead by her faerie sisters. This book is supported by a variety of colorful characters: Grimilix the Grundo, her arch-nemesis Dr.Sloth, and the mysterious evil fuzzles she encounters. Title: Sophie, A Biography Description: "Sophie after long debate writes her tale." As a young ixi, Sophie lived happily with her parents and siblings in Neovia. When the townspeople turned on her family, Sophie escaped into The Haunted Woods to find safety. This stirring biography details Sophie’s transformation into the swamp witch (with Illere’s help) who succeeded in curing Neovia of the curse that had blighted the town. This book is a poignant and engrossing tale about sibling love and a story of a family lost and found. Title: On Illusens Wings Description: "Learn what its like to be Illusen in this stirring biography." This number-one Neopian Times best-selling biography has become a unique literary classic, not just because of its explosive contents but also because of Illusen’s intimate involvement in the publication. Never before had a faerie spoken in such a raw, unfiltered way about her upbringing, her rivalry with Jhudora, her relationship with Fyora, her hopes, her fears, and her dreams. In this groundbreaking biography, we take a look at Illusen’s legacy and her relevance to Faerieland and Meridell. Title: Zenor Kevix: A Biography Description: "Learn more about the famous Kreludan forward!" When most Neopians think of Zenor Kervix, they think of his athleticism as Kreludar's star Yooyuball forward. Few know of his struggles to be the athlete we have come to recognize him as. Kevix's biography discloses for the very first time the challenges the Yooyuball player faced struggling to stay healthy enough to play. While laboring to present an image of robust good health, Kevix was secretly in and out of the Neopian Hospital trying to repair his throwing arm in time for the Altador Cup. Drawing on personal relationships with Kevix's coaches, interviews with friends, teammates and family members, this book is the truly definitive study of the Kreludan forward. Title: The Negg Faerie Diaries Description: "Ever wanted to know what the daily life of the Negg Faerie is like? Then read this exclusive book!" Forced into the shadow of her faerie sisters, the Negg Faerie struggled to find a place for herself until the Negg Festival became a national holiday and launched her career. Here is the riveting story of the Negg Faerie’s conversion from an awkward speaker into a brilliant public figure with irresistible charm. The pages within carries us from her work as a Earth Faerie in Altador through the Faerie's Ruin plot. I will say, I shed many tears by the end of my reading of the Negg Faerie’s story. Title: How To Be Wise Like Me Description: "An auto-biography by King Hagan where he lets out his secrets regarding how he became the wisest of all." King Hagan is an inspiring figure to all Neopians seeking wisdom. A King’s quest to live in accord with Fyora’s highest truth led him to initiate massive campaigns against ignorance and complacency. From his story come lessons of perseverance, patience, determination, and grace, as well as the fact that even legends are still regular Neopians with flaws. Those who love to soak up knowledge will enjoy the “Hagan’s Lessons” inserts that are sprinkled throughout the book. Title: Dr_Deaths Biography Description: “As well as looking after all the abandoned pets, Dr_Death has found the time to write a book about his adventures!” This book recounts the once cheery and enthusiastic Dr_Death when he was a young and newly hired Techo at the Neopian Pound. It illuminates his tribulations as the years wore on and he witnessed the abandonment of hundreds of pets daily. His demeanor changed from hopeful to downright mean. This is a heartbreaking tale of loss and hopelessness. It is a compelling view that is recommended reading for all Neopian Pound chatters and pet traders. Title: Jazzmosis Biography Description: "Ever wondered how the band started, where they got their name and how they learnt to play so well? This book reveals all!" Jazzmosis led one of the most extraordinary lives of any musical group in Neopia. In this biography, group members tell their story in an inimitable and unsparing voice, from the chronicle of their musical development to their struggles getting bookings at the Tyrannian Music Hall. Overcoming poverty and the popularity of other genres of music, Jazzmosis was an acclaimed musical phenomenon that took Neopia by storm. Throughout it all, Jazzmosis remained true to their music, and allowed nobody to tell them what they could and couldn’t do. Title: Mr. Sloth - The Tale of Dr. Sloth Senior - A Biography Description: "Read the gripping tell-all from a Neopian who claims to be the father of Dr. Frank Sloth himself." Dr. Sloth is one of the most discussed Neopians in all the land. The author of this book claims to be the father of one of the most polarizing figures of all time. This book paints the picture of Dr. Frank Sloth being a complicated Neopian in many ways. Was it his upbringing that turned him to villainy? Did his struggles as an adolescent lead him down the path to evil? Mr. Sloth Senior attempts to confront the hard truths about his son in this fascinating book about a parent’s journey to answers and healing. Title: The Journal of Jazan Description: "You will fine some very interesting things in this journal!" Since he was a young Kyrii, Jazan was utterly convinced it was his destiny to be King and save his people from the ancient curse that had been placed upon Qasala. Giving us a peek at his most intimate thoughts, we follow his line of thinking during the Lost Desert Plot. The Journal of Jazan is more than an extraordinary adventure story, for the lessons Jazan took from the war would profoundly affect all of Neopia’s history. So there you have it my fellow Neopians, we are at the end of our list. I hope you choose to purchase (or rent via the Neo Library) one of these books to share with your pet. I promise you will enjoy the stories within! Enjoy reading!
