Xweetok Care by mewmewchanbabbit
--------
Many people don't like the Xweetok species because they look shady. I think they're the best pet of them all. I haven't met a single person that has one complaint about it. Even though they have tons of energy, and are at home in the Battledome, they still love to be lazy. They love drinking cocoa in front of the fire place, while reading a good book. A good idea before you get one is to get a lot of books. They go through them so quickly that you'd need a new one every other hour. Any book about a Xweetok works quite well.
Picking the one for you:
When picking your Xweetok, keep in mind that they have a lot of energy to burn. And ask yourself, do I have the time and energy for one? Also, ask yourself, do I have the money for battle equipment, and other things? Dedicated owners know that Xweetoks feel most at home in the Battledome. And when you take in the cost for books, and the cost for new equipment when the old stuff gets wrecked. A Xweetok can cost an owner more money than the pet is worth. And lastly keep in mind that unless you can give your undivided attention to your Xweetok and no other pet, you need to get another one to keep it company. Caring for your pet:
Care is the one thing that is both time consuming, but also expensive. Those glossy and beautiful coats are perfect for winning a trophy in a beauty contest, but they take forever to clean. Even if you think there's nothing more you can clean, there is. Their coats are so thick that even the best bath can't clean all the dirt. After bath number one, give it another one. It's good that Xweetoks love taking baths. Food and drink is never a problem, since they love to eat just about anything.
How to deal with boredom:
Xweetoks love to read, but get bored very easily unless they have something fun to do. A low-cost thing you can do is buy books. But Xweetoks hate boring books, and love the most expensive books you can afford. Another alternative is to let you pet play with lots and lots of toys. And when I say lots, I mean about fifty in your inventory for every Xweetok you own. So as you can see, it’s a very expensive pet. A good kind of book will be read over and over again. So try and find one your Xweetok will enjoy. What to do with all that extra energy:
If you just don’t have the energy to get another Xweetok, and you’re sick of tag, you can always put your pet in the Battledome. When your pet has the right equipment, and it’s well trained, you should let it fight. Always keep in mind that after every two- three battles, you should always replace armor and weapons. Always keep in mind that this can cost you big bucks in the long run. But if you don’t like paying all the time and your Xweetok hates fighting (which is rare, but it does happen), you’re in luck. And never forget to let your pet rest. No matter how much it wants to fight, It has to take a break at some point in time (even if it means you have to put your pet into a straightjacket). Health Care:
The Xweetok species gets sick the fastest out of all the pets. So that means many, many more medical bills. And always remember that neglect can hurt a Xweetok both physically and mentally. The Perks:
There are tons of great things about owning a Xweetok! First of all, they love being held, and being hugged. They are cuter that a baby Cybunny, and warmer than any flame. They also have huge hearts, but they really only like their owner. They also will only think of only one pet as a best friend. And it’s almost a guarantee that if you enter a Xweetok in a competition that it’ll win (only if it’s been properly groomed). I have a friend who has a Xweetok, and she has won every beauty competition they’ve entered. That same friend has also won every Battledome match they’ve fought. But my favorite thing about the breed is the personality. And many people agree with that point. The golden years:
Eventually all pets get older and they show their age in some way or other. Xweetoks show it even worse than any other pet. If your Xweetok has spent most of its life in the Battledome, then chances are that it’ll be full of scars and matted fur in its old age. But if your Xweetok has lived a pampered life, then it will probably be in great condition. But remember that no matter how old your Xweetok is, it will eventually leave you to go to that great big forest in the sky. Even if you feel depressed always remember that your Xweetok is watching and protecting you. If you pay attention to your Xweetok, you’ll start to see that their fur turns salt and pepper colored and the mane that might have made any owner proud has turned grey. Some people dye the manes so that their Xweetok looks younger. I thing you should just leave it. And even if your Xweetok is getting older, its wish to please and protect you is still as fresh as when it was young. How to keep an aging Xweetok occupied:
Your Xweetok might not be able to enter the Battledome any longer now that it’s gotten old. But maybe entering it in beauty contests would be good for it. The extra grooming and attention that you might not have given to your Xweetok in its early life could be a great bonding method now.
Some little known Xweetok facts:
Xweetoks are the 6th most popular pet (even though they should by 1st).
Xweetoks are furry, forest-dwelling creatures who enjoy active games such as tag. They are very quick and love to be chased.
