The "Coolest" Looks for this Winter!

Dressing for winter can be tricky for many pets throughout Neopia. But here at NFN, it’s our goal to help you learn how to stay snuggly and warm while still looking fab-u-lous. You may be wondering how you can achieve that look. No worries! We’ve got you covered. Today we’ll be reviewing the coolest – no pun intended – trends for this winter for your backgrounds, clothes, footwear, accessories, and more! Stay tuned and find out how you can bring these trends to your closet this winter.

Backgrounds

A good background is the base of any great look in Neopia. Your outfit is only as good as the surroundings you put yourself in. Luckily, there are several winter-themed backgrounds available in the NC Mall and many shops around Neopia that are perfect for your new look.

In the NC Mall, you can purchase some great winter backdrops. My own personal favorite is the Icy Cavern Background. It’s icy, sparkly, and full of pretty winter colors that are great for a trendy pet. The Snowball Fight Background is fun and playful, but beware of the occasional stray slushball flying through! If you’re feeling brave, the Snowager Background is the look for you. I’m not a risk taker myself, but many pets can pull this look off admirably. If you’re classic at heart, then the Terror Mountain Background is the look for you. Wintry, snowy, and cold, it’s a great look for almost any pet and an easy way to get that chilly look.

The shops of Neopia also have a few winter backgrounds. The Ice Caves Background is cold and looks great, but it’s a little slippery. Great for an ice skater! If you want a homey feel, the Terror Mountain Igloo Background is the one for you. It’s perfect for the pet that doesn’t want to stray too far from home. Finally, the Terror Mountain Snowy Hillside Background is as pretty and calm as can be. This is another background that all pets can enjoy.

Clothing

Obviously, you’ll need some winter clothes to make your snowy look perfect. The key is to find clothes that are cozy and still stylish. Bulky snowpants need not apply here! NFN has several great looks that you can pull off to look fantastic.

For the girly girl, the Prissy Miss Snowflake Dress is a must. You can find it in the NC Mall. It has a lovely snowflake design on it, and it’ll keep you warm in the coldest snowstorm! A wild and crazy pet should consider Patchwork trousers: they’re light enough to keep you on the go, but they cover up your legs and are nice and vivid! Daring Sea Captain Trousers are as comfortable as anything, and they also happen to be very snug. Pair them with the Daring Sea Captain coat to not only look great, but stay plenty warm! Personally, I even like Neoquest Wizard Slacks and Neoquest Wizard Robe when I'm on the go. They’re roomy and spacious, but still perfect for an impromptu snowball fight.

Whatever you do, don’t forget your socks before you go out. The NC Mall has a couple of options: Pastel Argyle Socks and Red and White Striped Socks. Check the shops of Neopia for socks to keep your tootsies super cozy as well. There are some torn sock options that will hopefully run a little cheaper, like Torn Fire Gym Socks. Even though they’re torn, you can’t ask for any sock to keep you hotter!

Accessories

No look is complete without the right accessories, and our winter look is no exception. At NFN, our goal when picking out accessories was to find looks that accented your outfit without being overwhelming. At the same time, we want a winter theme that is just right for the chilly months.

For the mystical pet, Wings of Ice will look absolutely great. Everyone likes to fly, after all, and you can’t fly in style during the Winter better than when you’re using some Wings of Ice. The Snowflake Wand is also wonderful for pets that love sparkles. If you want to keep your ears warm, the Snuffly Hat is the hat for you. It’ll keep your head cozy when you trek off to Terror Mountain for a round of Snow Wars. The perfect necklace at the NC Mall is easily the Ice Cube Necklace. Not only is it a pretty shade of blue, it’s a great accessory for the winter months. The only bad news is that it’s liable to melt off in a short amount of time.

Trinkets

The finishing touch to your new fabulous winter wear is always a trinket or two. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of winter-themed trinkets available yet. Luckily, we found a few that will do the job admirably without detracting from the center of the outfit: you, the pet!

How about the Snowy Day Cloud? This puffy little cloud can “chill out” in the background and add a great wintry feel to your look. The Terror Mountain Signpost also looks great in any winter look. Not only is it helpful (which way are YOU going?), it’s icy and will give an extra little oomph to your outfit!
