Nahriu's Niftiest Neopian Beaches

Mystery Island

Hi, this is Nahriu! I plan to travel to some of the most well known (and some of the almost unknown) beaches in our amazing world! Today I'm going to take you to Mystery Island. Often the more popular beaches on Mystery Island are crowded, but if you venture just a little further you'll find some amazing, exotic, white sandy beaches without another soul around.

The first of these I'm going to visit is just near the Harbour. This is where you will arrive, and if you stroll south just a few yards, there are some of the most gorgeous cliffs you will ever see. Climbing down them takes you to a small secluded beach that would be great for lying out during the day and bonfires at night.

The most widely known beach on Mystery Island is just that, “The Beach” and is often crowded, but for good reason! Just across from the shoreline is the Training School and much more, little coconut men that provide tiki tours of the island, and a dazzling street bazaar. This is the place to go to buy knick knacks and gifts for the loved ones you left back in Neopia Central.

One more great place that you just have to check out is the rock pool. Talk about cool stuff! There are so many wild petpets as well as some that have been captured. The rock pool is full of life, is great for exploring, and exciting for young and old neopets alike, whether you just want to roam and enjoy beautiful wildlife or catch a petpet to take home that will be different than all of your friends.

Mystery Island is quite possibly the most amazing place in all of Neopia if you want beaches. The island is full of tropical fruit and wildlife. The flowers are abundant and Island natives still inhabit the area and are in constant interaction with visitors. This is one place definitely worth the trip.

Krawk Island

Did you check out Mystery Island ? It was great, huh? Well, this week we are stopping at another great little island, Krawk Island! Okay, so this one is a little more dangerous, but only if you go to the wrong places.

The first place we stopped was the Golden Dubloon. Great place! Very fun, but make sure you have dubloons or you will be turned away before you can say “Arghhh!” and not very nicely either. Once you're in, have a mug of something and you'll feel right at home on this island.

After you have had your fill of pirates, why not head out to the coastline? The water around this tiny island is extremely warm and clear; you can see all the way to the bottom! Great place to snorkel and look for buried treasure. I found several dubloons and even a couple of neopoints. What a great way to spend a vacation, getting money rather than spending!

This island is also full of tons of stuff to do. Gambling being the largest source of income to the island, you can bet there are plenty of places to play and win(or lose) money. There is also a great Academy if you want to train. Among boat rides and caves full of fungus *eewwww* there is a huge shopping area. Want to dress like a pirate? Krawk Fashions is the place to go, doesn't matter if you're a Lupe or an Acara. You want a peg leg and a Pawkeet, you can find it there.

Go out and explore, but be wary; this island is full of adventures and thrills.

Roo Island

So, I went to Roo Island, and for everyone who hasn't been there, go NOW! It is so much fun. It's like a day at the beach and a day at the carnival rolled all into one big fun place.

Let me start with the more inland stuff, like Dice-A-Roo, a fun game where you roll dice and you can potentially win lots of money and sometimes even win food. It's five neopoints to play and you can win or lose at any time! Just across from the Dice-A-Roo hall is a carousel, and I don't know about you guys, but I love a good carousel, and this one is great. Only fifty neopoints per ride and you can choose from a plethora of multi-colored Unis to ride on. I have yet to find a carousel better than this one! The souvenir shop around the corner is great, especially if you want to say to someone, “Hey, I care enough to buy you this, but not enough to take you on my trip,” because the stuff in there is fantastic and really will show you care.

Now let's move on to the beach front property, GORGEOUS! These houses are amazing, and most go for quite a bit because this island has some of the nicest beaches you'll ever see. The sandy shoreline here rivals Mystery Island and is less crowded. This is another great place to snorkel; you're likely to see a lot of Kikos in the waters here.

This is the best place to take the kids on vacation, definitely a fun place to hang out, run around and have a great day.

Maraqua And Neopia's Unlikely Beaches

Now, on to an amazing place, Maraqua. It's not a beach, duh, because it is underwater but it is a great place to see some amazing aquatic wildlife. Maraqua has the fanciest restaurant in the world (which is way overpriced, if you ask me), there are underwater fishing caves, and yet again you can buy some awesome underwater petpets that will make all your friends jealous. If aquatics and underwater life interest you, this is one place you need to check out!

To conclude my guide to Neopia's beaches, I have a few that I'll bet you've never been to or even heard of.

One is just outside Happy Valley on Terror Mountain; it is an ice cold beach, not for the underdressed or those lacking blubber. But the waves are amazing, and it's pretty neat to make a snowman at the beach.

Another is in Tyrannia; this is the pre-historic beach. The sand is rough and not very fun to lie on. The sun beats down on you, making you want to just run and jump into the ocean. But that is one thing I would not advise; these waters are filled with some Tyrannian wildlife that could easily munch off one of your arms or legs. This beach is probably not the best to visit but worth a mention none-the-less.

The last exciting beach I have for you is a little beach between Brightvale and Meridell. I am not sure of the exact name, but I know how to get there. The path that runs between the two cities has a tree about half way along and if you head towards that tree and past it you'll land yourself at this little coastal oasis. The grassy hillsides turn into soft sand with rolling waves crashing up at you. This is a great place for a picnic or some sort of peaceful getaway. Visit here with a loved one if you find yourself ever in the area.

Now it is time for me to go back to my Neohome and rest. All of this travel has been making me delirious. I've been having dreams of a jelly city with jelly beaches. It is definitely time for me to get some rest and relaxation. Next time I will take you to some other wondrous places in Neopia, but until then go and explore!
